How to make a delicious carrot cake even if you don't know the first thing about baking!
Watch what happens as I go through the process of trying to make a carrot cake. I had a few problems but the result was amazing. @chop chopblockRecipes_24/7, I struggle with understanding the basics of baking:
When do I use the electric whisk. How long do I beat the mixture for. Should I whisk the egg first before adding it to the dry ingredients. Why is it important to add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Baking is a science and an art. Learn to bake with me. You may get a little laugh and you may even think I'm a little ditsy. However all in all the carrot cake came out tasting great. At least I thought so! For the salt, sugar you can choose to decrease it.
Ingredients include:
flour- (2 cups)
Baking powder-(2 tspn)
Baking soda (1-1/2 tspn). Cut back if you need to.
Salt- (1-1/2 tspn)
cinnamon- (2 tspn)
Sugar- (2 cups)
Salad oil- (1-1/2 cups). I used canola oil
Eggs- (4)
Carrots, shredded- (2 cups)
Nuts- Crushed, Chopped, halves (1 cup) optional of course.
