This instantly reminded me of my Grandfather. When my grandma was 8, he decided to train hop with a friend to another close by state hoping for better job opportunities. Even though he served in WWII and earned a bronze star metal for saving 3 people from a burning building. For unknown reasoning somehow he had lost his grip and landed on the rail. His friend had to identify his body because he didn’t know where he was at when making the destination himself. When he came out after identifying him… They said his face turned more pale than any man they’ve ever seen. Maybe he lost his grip or he could have had PTSD. But that wasn’t known about at the time. Someone finally sent an old news paper article to my Grandmother about the incident last year. When reading it out load she couldn’t help but pause herself to hold back the tears. Glad to see you not injured or worse.

My friend and I hopped freighters at age 17 in 1971. We left from the Los Angeles freight yard and a week later arrived in Colorado, our destination. We changed trains many times and were kicked off many times as well. We rode in gondolas, flat cars, box cars, and one occasion we rode in an automobile carrier loaded with new cars. We climbed to the top deck and sat in a brand new automobile. Fun times.

I believe firmly that more people would use it if we actually did something about the drug problem instead of sweeping it under the rug. Especially with talks of expansion for it, I would love to be able to take the train into work instead of dealing with 94 traffic. Not happening until I know it’ll be a safe ride.
Yeah it's sad. I really like using public transportation but not when it's dirty and full of sketchy people. Hopefully it can get cleaned up. Thank you so much for watching the video!!!
6:29 You go dude. What an inspiring attitude.

Cool video. Glad you got that ride. Did it once when 18 yo from Montana to Spokane. I will always remember that almost 50 years ago.
Wow I bet that was memorable. That would be so much fun to go west on the hi line. Thanks so much for watching!!!
Great video of your 1st time hopping a train! Even regardless of getting a little wet from the rain still didn't kill the vibe! Glad you got to meet family for the game. I'm a new subscriber of your channel and will definitely be checking your other videos! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
That's awesome. Thanks so much for subscribing. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it was so much fun even with the rain...just part of the experience. Thanks for watching!!!
Great work! This was very professional, I was surprised that you only have 800 subs, keep it up!

I wouldn’t touch the Minneapolis trains with a ten foot pole! I used to love taking the train from Bloomington to Minni but I agree its now a scary ride! Cool video! I took Amtrak in 96 from Philly to Shelby Mt! Cheaper then planes back then!
Yeah its too bad Minneapolis has changed so much in the last few years...used to be such a great city. Your Amtrak ride sounds like a great ride and great way to see the country, would love to do a long distance Amtrak someday. Im so glad you enjoyed the video, Thank you so much for watching!!!

My Aunt was a Vikings fan (she's gone now) so in her memory, whenever the Vikes are playing, I support them.
That's so awesome. Wish they could have won a super bowl for her while she was still around. Hopefully soon. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it!!!
