I hopped a tram and a bus once. The tram i hopped was a reall uncomfortable ride because i just held on there for 4 minutes before giving up. The bus was nice. I just got in from the exit.

same thing happened to me in minneapolis in april. train ride from airport was a nightmare with folks doing drugs and smoking on the tram. Crazy stuff.

The metro light rail must have really taken a turn for the worse in recent years. I took the light rail to university campus every day from 2014-2017 and only felt unsafe a couple of times.
