Those cops will probably watch this too, and I feel like they deserve some acknowledgement for doing a good job here. Thanks guys 👍 Professional and efficient work 👏
Amen. Usually search warrants do not happen that fast. In busy south florida a cop wouldn't have done nothing without picture proof of everything. Hell my sister stole 30k from me and I told the cops what bank she put it in her safety deposit box, text saying sorry, and her finger prints everywhere and they said sue her its a civil matter.
Yeah that is honestly how you want to see a situation like that be handled. Having been on the losing end of stolen property I worked hard for, and then being amazed at how bad I felt when it seemed like the cops didn't even seem to care or try to get it back, I think both parties did a stand up job. Cody was right about getting as much information you can. Also going to the place without starting confrontation and having the police come was perfect - might have gotten slept on if not.. cops did a great job aswell they could see they had what they needed to get the job done and they did. 👏 👌👍
No logic in what are saying. That's a thief, they've got his face on cameras on his own property which gives him the right to use them. So, no point to burr the face of a grown man who's may be 50 years old, without decency, stealing.

Did the father make the cop work everything to the letter of the law yes he did why because it was his son who he loves, and wants to over protect by keeping his son near him because the old man is worried about his baby boy who may not have grown up and in the eyes of his father his son is not a man! How do I know this; well because today I became a man without ask for it, and I don't want it yes I am disable as well! RIP Dad!
Whoever drafted the affidavit in support of the search warrant that quickly was also awesome. Once they had to do all the work to get the search warrant, I’d let the Deputies have the satisfaction of taking that guy to jail.

I applaud you for putting up your cameras and protecting yourself. You for sure have a forgiving heart. For. not prosecuting your neighbor. It is strange he says he has no excuse. And acts like it’s something wrong with his brain. He even made the comment. Oh, I thought the stuff was abandoned. That’s why I sprayed your cameras lol. I hope you get your dad’s skid steer back also .
Many of the people begging for money drive luxury cars. Greed isn't something that goes away with wealth. Either you're an asshole or you're not. And just because I know someone's going to say it, I don't include those that steal for legitimate needs in the assholes. If someone has exhausted all resources and needs baby food, they aren't doing it for malice and greed.
What's ironic is the 60+ year old crook has an expensive house, steel roof, lot of land and he steals from this kid! Which I'm wondering how this kid who looks about 24 has so much money and property
He should be in custody, but it appears to be a well-established practice. You know, it's not his first offense. He has engaged in theft, spraying the cameras and other things. You did not file any charges due to his skin color.

This man is a serial thief, he has been doing this for a long time and you’re the first person to actually catch him. He’s not sorry for stealing stuff, he’s sorry for being caught and having to explain himself to his wife and the police. You’re a bigger person than me, I would have had him charged.

I feel so bad for his wife, you can tell she knew immediately that he was straight up lying when he denied having taken your stuff, notice how she physically distanced herself from him at the gate?
She knew. Hubby keeps having tons of new stuff and cash on hand. Probably does not work because theives are hard workers and she acts like she does not know. She knew.
@@FindingGod365 Correct me if i'm wrong, but you're making it seem as if the wife was part of it. I don't believe she was. But what part of having cash on hand implies that he's a thief? Yes he is a thief, yet i don't believe that's his profession. But what part of having cash on hand has to do with being a thief? At this point you're purely speculating without any evidence for it, which I don't support. The way I see it, from behavioural analysis; I saw a woman who's husband does not care about others or the law. Which is a characteristic trait. She knows her husband's character, which is why she knew he did indeed steal or at the bare minimum did not doubt it to be a possibility. From her behaviour, I saw a woman who's not like her husband, yet cannot do anything about her husband's behaviour. She does not like his behaviour, in fact she's ashamed of it. The thief probably has stolen plenty of times in the past. He just happened to get caught this time. There will be no excuses on the day of Judgement. No, you can't blame it on the beer.
The fact they just had 1400 in cash on hand just proves they're better off than most people and him out here stealing is absolutely despicable. Should have taken the money AND pressed charges.
Sadly, once he accepts any financial gain/return in place of his property all criminal offenses would be null. Only course he would have left would be any civil suit against the thief.
Bingo he wasn’t even gunna let them in the gate without a warrant! He was hoping they couldn’t get one quick and he could get rid of the shit I would have pressed charges thieves are disgusting doesn’t matter how much money you have
Yep - he's a thief and a liar. Don't be swayed by 'people about to cry' - often murderers do when handed long sentences. It;s not remorse - it's only concern for themselves - and as a thief they only think about themselves.
And the kid handed the money back! That’s incredible! Like whoa! He was raised right. Polite, respectful, so much dignity. There simply aren’t enough positive adjectives. Guy probably paid for his house stealing and flipping tools, generators, car parts, all kinds of stuff. Driving around with black spay paint in the cab.... Every thief says it was the first time. This guy lived in an era without cameras on properties, probably been stealing for 40+ years.

At the end of this video, I had a realization. This whole channel was made just so that you can bring justice to the person who stole your dad's skid loader 14 years ago. All of your material possessions don't matter, you destroy 6-figure vehicles just to reach a wider audience to hopefully one day find that one thief. That's so fucking wholesome. I hope you find not only the person but the skid loader itself and have it completely restored and keep it that way. Destroy everything else, keep that skid loader mint. Godspeed, WD. Godspeed.
High probability of a pain medication addiction, and he'll steal again if he thinks he can get away with it! However you did it right if you want your stuff back, without it being held as evidence through the trial process.

How does giving the money back show him how wrong he was? And why is Cody the bigger man? Because he has to go buy new cameras? Way to encourage bad behavior. Bravo.
Stole the words right from me. Agreed. The guilt that man has to live with is going to be punishment enough. The new way his wife is going to view him is going to probably change his life. I LOVE that it was never about the money for Cody. It was about the message and I think that was really nicely conveyed.
Not only that, but the man is clearly a kleptomaniac, he does it for the simple thrill, not for the prize. By shaming him in front of his wife/internet and for being the bigger man, (despite being a third his age) will make the older man's delinquent desire to steal become diminished, as the pain of this moment eats away at him every time he looks into his wife's eyes. Jail-time would not have given him this lesson... compassion in this case, is justified.
Incredibly mature and smart young man right there! Demanding that the thief come clean, return his items, apologize and pay for damages. Forgiveness is best - revenge just causes anger and hate.
Of course he has, he spray painted the cameras and took the plates off of his 4 runner and knew to park the other cars he was stealing with out of sight of the cameras he could see, but he didn't catch one of the cameras. Anyone that steals that much, I know his family knows about it, he literally stole a truck full of stuff worth thousands.

I feel no remorse for this old man... No one starts stealing at that age, he's done it before. He feels bad for finally getting caught, not for taking someone else's stuff. Yeah for real. Theres a big difference between destroying material objects to piss off relatively niche audiences and being a bad person. And he is certainly not a bad person.
His tears were for the fact he got caught THIS time and embarrassed his wife. The cops reaction when you gave her the money back was amazing. Cops don't often deal with decent people like you.
Yes, the tears and excuses were only because he was caught red handed. The same guy only an hour or so earlier denied everything and demanded a search warrant.
I know man and I would guarentee he gave it back to her. Because she gave it to him and it was her money. That she was using to pay to fix her husband being a piece. I love how the officer acted as well. Doing the job they do. They dont get to see someone do and handle the situation and act the way cody did.
@Matt P she is the one who chose to marry a thief. She got way more protection than she deserves. Even though she seems upset, she knows what kind of man she is married to and has stuck by him long enough to make her guilty by association
He didn’t become apologetic til he was 100% caught. That ruins his apology for me. He was verbally combative and trying to cover his ass til the warrant arrived so this was insincere. He’s only “sorry” he got caught. Thank you for the respect to his wife. I cannot imagine my husband doing something like this. I would be humiliated.
His wife knows what he does, stuff doesn't just magically appear and I'd bet he's done this for years. Theft for some people is like gambling or drinking. It's a rush and half the time they do it for the fun of it. This guy doesn't look down on his luck, he probably needs psychological help.
It might appear that way, that he's only sorry because he got caught, and common sense and experience might even tell us that is exactly what's happening. And that might be a correct assumption. But it's not hands down 100% the truth. You never know, the embarrassment alone might have kicked him in the teeth enough for him to start feeling actual guilt. Everyone has an image of themselves, and people like this, often lie to themselves about who they are, or why they do the things they do in an attempt to justify their actions, and a lot of the time they end up believing their own bullshit. So if he thought to himself "I'm usually a nice guy and I don't do shit like this, but times are tough and I gotta do what I gotta do." you never know what he was thinking when he was staring down the barrel of reality. Maybe he couldn't deny it any longer, that he was kind of a piece of shit. All of that being said, I'd only feel as sorry for him (if you were at all inclined to do so) as you could while keeping him at arms length.
"You're a stand up guy, we don't see that very often...." Means a lot coming from the cop... Well done.. Having his wife find out was worse than prison time..
I would love to be a fly on the wall after her ripping him to shreds for his stupidity for the next month. and then once every year until he’s in his grave…. Maybe because of her
Ehhhh. She knew. This is life, and not likely a first or even 20th time. Spouses are often part of it. He spray painted the camera, removed his plate...this is not an impulse. However if he pressed charges of burglary, that stuff would be in evidence locker for two years.
Look at what the cops were doing, they could've arrested this old fart, but southern ways...I wonder if the old man was former law enforcement with the kiss-ass 'just give it back' treatment.
"Having his wife find out was worse than prison time.." A big BULLSH!!!T. That old bastard needed felony charges brought against him. Guaranteed that wasn't the first time he has stolen from people. He needed to spend a couple of years behind bars to get what he deserves.
@slimslam I totally get the sentiment... but sometimes people really do make one off mistakes... occasionally big ones. Hopefully this was a wake up call for him and he truly is sorry/becomes a better person because of it. You could easily look at something I've done and say what you're saying about this guy to me. I did get convicted, but I didn't to to prison and could easily he considered as getting off easy. I can't begin to explain how sorry I am for what I did and I've worked hard to be a better person. I'll never screw up like I did before and I'm thankful to have a second chance. My point is that if someone is truly sorry and the person they wronged wants to forgive them, then that's pretty cool. Now, if they ruin that second chance then by all means throw the book at em, but there's nothing wrong with mercy.
I never comment on anything on here, but I have to say that I’m completely blown away with how you handled this situation. That took a level of class and compassion most people couldn’t display. Respect
Hi from Australia, I got a decent 3.5 tonne trolley jack with detachable handle, solid axles, proper steel wheels that require that I have timber under it when I work on a vehicle on the side of the road so the jack can roll it raises. A jack like the one he showed would be banned from import and sale here as it would not pass our "Safety Standards".
Should if charged him, this is prob not the first time or the last! He is not in need, just a thief that has stoled things all his life. I would have taken money for his damage. All that stuff, house shop, trucks, motor home prob all bought selling everything he has stolen.
So true. I lost a bike that I rode daily. I was in a bike store buying a lock for the truck rake that my bike was on. LIterally buying a lock so it wouldn't be stolen. The bike store guy was in the back doing whatever so it took forever. Homeboy cut my straps and took my bike that didn't have a front wheel attached. This happened in downtown Buffalo as I was moving and nobody witnessed it except one guy who said "maybe someone with dreadlocks". So as I was moving from Buffalo (not a bad place really) I lost my bike. I searched for over an hour and made a police report. That bike was like family to me. I actually got it from insurance money from having another bike stolen. Except this bike was like part of my body. I cried hard as i drove south to new beginnings.
Yep. My storage shed got cleaned out. I lost everything...everything. It cost 30 grand to buy all that stuff up again and took 3-4 years. I lost guns, camping gear, elk and deer heads, furniture, books, 30 boxes of bullets, fireworks, all of my clothes, kitchen ware, TV, 2 PC's, $4,000 in gold bullion, tools. And worst of all, I lost all my photo albums with hunting, fishing, and camping pics since I was a little kid.
This dude stealing all that stuff is just so disgusting... got a big property and tons of stuff and is certainly not poor in any other way but in his head. Standing there and denying everything until he has no way out. It was no kneejerk reaction as well. Dude kept coming and stealing stuff over and over and planning all that stuff. Big props for Cody for letting him off the hook so easy. I am a really patient and easy going person, but I can certainly say that I would not have the grandesse of letting this guy slip the way he did.
Just need to give a shout out to the young rookie in Gonzales, TX many years ago. He was just a beeboppin' along when he sees a beat up, old, nasty truck come careening out of a side road and decided to a quick field check. Upon walking up to the truck, he noticed a couple thousand dollars worth of gas room heaters and hidden pile under a tarp. He began to casually chat the boy up and the boy was sweating profusely. So, he called the boy out to the back of the truck and while talking to him, noticed the butt of a rifle sticking out from under the tarp. He asked the boy to show him what was under the tarp and immediately detained him for suspicion of burglary. That quick thinking rookie recovered 6 stolen firearms, two expensive gas room heaters, a few thousand in cash from a drawer in my dad's study, and several thousand dollars worth of electronics. We now have three large safes in the walk in closet, where we keep firearms not currently being worn, the coin amd cash collection, and various other unmentionables. In addition to other security measures, we have posted two signs. The one at the gate off the caliche road says "trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again." The one way up the driveway at the yard gate says "if you can read this, you're in range." That was some damn good policing from that rookie.

The fact the Police responded so quickly with a search warrant is the thing that makes me happy. Police get shit on for a lot of things. Props to every Officer and Detective out there doing a job this good.
Oh yeah real good work. They let their buddy off the hook. They didn’t need the property owners say on weather he should be arrested. They let his ass off the hook
The slow response time for police is the fact that it has to be investigated. This young guy did the heavy lifting for them and THAT was the key to a quick process of getting justice. RARELY does stuff like this work out to your benefit so fast. This was a very satisfying conclusion except for the that this THIEF lied then tried to rationalize his behaviour...Forget Him!!! Well, now he knows and he's an embarrassment to his wife as well.
Search warrants take maybe 15 minutes to obtain..the officer passes it up to their supervisor who calls a judge and they explain what they got and the judge will sign a warrant. The reason why this guy didnt go to jail is because the owner of the property made it a civil matter instead of criminal meaning they came to an agreement and he didnt press charges. If you guys have anything with a vin # or serial # save that info because if its stolen thats what police will need along with an estimate of what its worth. So if they do a drug bust they will run the vin and serial #s of everything in a nationwide database and if it comes back as stolen they get charged and u get your shit back or if its destroyed its on file along with the estimate and the court process is super easy at that point. I work as a 911 dispatcher and police work isnt taking fingerprints and foot prints and hunting people down, they take reports for you incase its insured and document the stolen items incase they find them in the future. In the 4 agencies ive worked for we are always busy, so take 5 minutes to document your shit so we can find it
so you wish all criminals should get this type of justice. That is complete nonsense. By your way of thinking and your statement here, You want murderers, kidnappers, child molesters, rapist, thieves, bank robbers, Drunk Drivers, and every other type of criminal to be let go. You said " I wish we all could get justice like this."

@ertpecsertpecs I agree with the xannie part, just not the pain pill excuse. I was addicted to pain pills for 3 years... and I swallowed a handful at a time. Never once did the pills alter my behavior in any way. I was injured and got addicted... unfortunately. I've been clean for 15 years now.
I have known "pill poppers" in the past who have claimed certain meds gave them big urges to steal. Ppl with $ who would enter a store & steal a chocolate bar.
It's not the first time he's done this, just the first time he's been caught. You guys handled this really well and maturely. Hats off to you guys from Australia
You're definitely correct that it's not his first time! Some people just have that thieving mentality and I don't understand it, but I've had friends here and there in life who've stolen from others and confided in me about it. I know from talking to them that it's something they consider in certain situations while the thought of stealing is the furthest in my mind. I think maybe they're born with that tendency, I don't know... This guy though, he WILL steal again. It won't be immediately, but after all the smoke clears and his life habits put him back into a tough situation, you can bet he will do it again, in the meantime, he will just be scouting opportunities as he goes through his daily life. Give it a year or two, these people pretend to care about others but they don't. His empathy was fake, his apologies to this young man were NOT genuine. That's okay though, this TH-camr STILL did the right thing and is a better person for it. I've learned a long time ago that when people do me wrong I don't have to be the one to take vengeance, the universe has a way of sorting that out automatically. People get what they deserve and the less we interfere with that process, the sooner it will probably come for them, and with interest. Great video, cheers!
Do might I ask do you know for a fact that he's done this before I mean since your from Australia I can't help but think your presuming that he's done this before by the way he acted/acts 🤔 🤷♂️🤦♂️🤨..!!??
It seems like they have excellent law enforcement in that area. I truly hope they are investigating him behind the scenes for other crimes in that area. Who knows what else they'll find!
If nothing else, at least he's on the radar from now on. If anyone else in that area has things go missing from their property, the police will be looking at this dude first.
I agree. If I were the theif. I'd care less about what the cops were going to do. And more about losing face with my wife and family. Unless, they already knew what you were.
The video has probably done more than any charge he might have got. people will be whispering about him in town for years and blaming him any time something goes missing in a 20 mile radius of him.

I happen to pass by this video and decided to watch it. You are one smart cookie (sorry, I’m 68 so I say old stuff) but you are also a nice guy. Good work! Thanks for being a decent man without a grudge toward this man.
Coming from a fairly tight knit rural area, where everybody knows everybody, once word get out about what he did that guy will bear the shame for the rest of his life. Every time he goes to the bar, every time someone recognizes him at the gas station, any time he needs help with something. He will never hear the end of it. Good job WD, looks like the sherrifs office was on top of it too.
Oh come on, give him a break. I hope in a year he can laugh about it with his friends, I hope it doesn't ruin his life. Sounds like a life crisis to me I wish the man the best
That's not the way we should be. Forgiveness and community reconciliation and then moving on from the act is the way we as a society should end these moments. Imagine your worst mistakes/decisions were what people saw you as no matter your change. That's a punishment to harsh for anything once someone has changed and apologize.

I think they know more than they put on, but keep acting dumb to keep peace in the household.
They should have given him the choice before the warrant. Give it up now or we will press charges. Forgiveness ends when he doesn't immediately accept your amnesty Though personally I would press charges for any hidden crime. You can punch me in the face in a bar, that's fine. But steal and hide and you're trash.
A man that old taking other people things without a second thought has probably been doing sketchy things like that for a loooong time. Glad he finally got caught.
He's got the mind of a con man. most likely he's not only been stealing for a long time, he's used to getting away with it and talking his way out of it and a lot of people would buy it and believe him and now he realizes that they got the proof and he can't talk his way out of it.
I'd understand if he'd immediately owned up to it but he kept on denying right until it was impossible to do it further. No sympathy deserved whatsoever.
ya, and even after he was caught and in the process of returning the stolen items he was saying, "I didn't think I was doing nothin wrong." Of course he knew, otherwise why would he spray-paint the cameras and cover his license. This type of person wont stop lying and stealing until he's dead.
Guarantee it's not his first time, there was a lot of planning in what he did. Prosecute the "Aw shucks I'm sorry" guy and maybe his neighbors might have realized what happened to their missing stuff to. If they would have pulled the warrant the next day all that stuff would have been gone and he would have been irate and "how dare you"
He went from "I took some pain killers and alcohol and wanted to feel like a kid again" to "I saw the for sale sign and thought everything was free" real quick.
The second he mentioned pain pills and drinking while driving, I'd definitely want to press charges. Huge difference between crime of poverty to survive vs putting others at risk.
His excuse:. "I wanted to steal your shit from day 1, and needed to come up with an excuse that sounds plausible to morons so i could give less fucks about you than i already do".
I cannot believe how fast those cops/detectives got the job done. Kudos to them... and you. You are a good dude. I think you were much nicer than I would have been.
I absolutely can. Nothing lights a fire under pigs asses like media attention. Like most, I'm done with giving cops the benefit of the doubt. WD already did most of the work for them. It was open and shut and everyone involved gets an easy win.
I grew up in a rural area like that and the Sheriff's deputies and even State Police take things like that very seriously because petty theft can turn into a series of murders really quickly out there where nobody will hear a gunshot or take it seriously. And I assure you that the local pig farmer will have no problem letting his hogs eat...
Those cops will probably watch this too, and I feel like they deserve some acknowledgement for doing a good job here. Thanks guys 👍 Professional and efficient work 👏
Some one down town said.. Whistlin Diesel has 3 million followers. We might better do our job.
Amen. Usually search warrants do not happen that fast. In busy south florida a cop wouldn't have done nothing without picture proof of everything. When I seen your name I had to stop and think “when did I post that comment?”

He knows it
He even admits to seeing his youtube videos so he knew him somewhat as well. Pretty fucked up
His wife knows what he does, stuff doesn't just magically appear and I'd bet he's done this for years.

Ehhhh.
"Having his wife find out was worse than prison time.."
A big BULLSH!!!T.
Imagine the shame of knowing 25 million people have seen your face and know you are a thief. Everyone in this man's community knows what he is now.

For those of us who have had things stolen and been helpless to do anything about it, thanks for letting us live vicariously through you.
What a great local police dept. That was quick action taken.

Yeah this isn't his first time. You can tell he's made a hobby of it.
evidence? he apologized. people in other parts of the world ride up and shoot people in cold blood just for their phone.
@@2Boios he took the plates off his car and spray painted the cameras. He knew what he was doing, I dont buy the excuses.
I had some idiot steal oil and tools from my barn while I worked nite shift. Came home in the morning found lock ripped out of wall. If I would have found his guy I would kicked him in the gut and taken my stuff. You did better.
@@markpolacek7840 I guarantee you if that person came up to you with a respectful and apologetic demeanor your instant reaction would be that of patience and understanding even though you hate the dude. life is complex and so are we!
This kid is a legend pure and simple. So nice to the wife.
he doesn't regret stealing, he just regrets getting caught. situation was handled well though
He is a hard core thief that has been stealing his whole life and just embarrassed that he got caught.
Agreed he won't steal from him again but it's in his blood to steal from everyone else.
POS.
He didn’t give it back until the search warrant showed up. He lied about the whole situation and he probably already stole some more stuff after this. He deserved to be prosecuted. IMO
I'd say, prosecute anyways
Wow what a powerful role reversal: the younger man displaying high moral conduct, wisdom, & compassion to someone old enough to be his father! Young man you demonstrating something much more valuable than the material things that were stolen!
Ditto.!!!!!
Remember he knew he was on camera, so making him self look like the better man was a win win situation for him.
@@hawkenaa It doesn't really matter if it was on camera or not. He could have pressed the charges or kept the money and 100% still been in the right. It's the fact he chose to do those things and did them that sets it apart. If it was all for the camera, I don't really think it makes a difference in this outcome.
So funny
Young man is going to have to be a little tougher on thieves and bastards or this will continue to happen to him. Salute to the young man though. Should’ve pressed charges.
It's incredibly respectable how you handled this. No drama, no yelling, taken care of intelligently and maturely without any major conflict. Your level-headedness will take you far. Keep on going with the quality content.
It’s got him plenty far by the looks of it
I disagree. He let that scumbag get away without any jail time. Bad move.
@@halogod0298 better content this way.
He always been respectful. Just fame and his character might imply otherwise. This is reality and blog worthy
@@jkrillz6571 That is true, still ashamed to see
I happen to pass by this video and decided to watch it.
Never watched you before. Because of how you handled this situation and yourself throughout, I’ve subscribed
I was thinking the same. He will be wearing a scarlet letter
@@theNimboo life crisis makes you steal other peoples stuff when you have your own stuff? lmao
You're a much better man than I am. I would be FAR less forgiving and MUCH angrier.
lol. Same with my dad. He'd probably show up at their front door and say
gimme my da*m stuff back bi*ch
This whole things shows why I could never be a cop cause you need a warrant I wish I could just steal back lmao
That’s why I could never
I'm for justice. I would make sure he donated to sant Jude for the rest of his life.
right i would have beaten them lol
Yes you are right he played stooped.
Makes me sick to see these people with a house, couple acres of land, extra garage, and an RV....STEALING from others!
That's their side job. A little extra in the pocket. I feel for his wife. She needs a new husband. And a new life.
@@Joy-sm7iz She's prolly jacking as much stuff as he is. Thieves come in more than one gender, in some families, it's the family business. I'd bet they have booths at several flea markets.
@@wilschober3848 Hahaha. Excellent! That leaf blower was one weekend away from being sold for $40.
@@wilschober3848 I had a "friend" who stole from me. The wife seemed to know nothing, but when I was in a rare spot where I had control over a situation and told her why I didn't want to help anymore, she put on a big act - shaking violently, screaming-crying, blabbering nonsense (totally unlike her), so I did help. I think they know more than they put on, but keep acting dumb to keep peace in the household.
Funded from their victims that didn't have the luxury of cameras
I was already subscribed but after seeing you give her the money back, I like you now. Good man.
That was the perfect TH-cam video. It had everything...Conflict, intrigue, resolution., compassion, and effin' humor. Storytelling at its finest.
I approve of everything but compassion. Once you have been ripped off a couple of times like me, all compassion disappears.

Not only will he need to live with his poor wife after this but the entire town will never look at this guy the same. Your best video to date.
I believe his wife knows exactly who she is married too.
I agree
@@justthefacts8872 She does now, for sure.
Damn I actually really respect that WD genuinely tried to be forgiving. Huge respect
Yup, but I still think he should have taken the money because the dude stole crap
I DON'T!!! That old asshole needs to go to JAIL. Cody should send that bastard there, he's a wuss for not doing it!
i like how the guy played dumb too
Hell with that, that criminal deserves hell
@@Flies2FLL naw Cody skared the crap out of that guy he'll never steal again and he'll probably only drive the speed limit for the next 2 months
Thats some real shit, you caught him, BUT YOU DIDNT HAVE HIM ARRESTED, I subscribed for you giving him a chance
I don't think that he steal on regular basis just by how he received the cops asking him question.
So impressed with your ability to calmly address that guy, and you were smart to have the cops come first.
Your generosity absolutely wrecked him. Amazing
Absolutely, I doubt I'd be so kind as to involve the police.
He's just a straight-up thief. Should be in jail!
They should have given him the choice before the warrant. Give it up now or we will press charges.
Forgiveness ends when he doesn't immediately accept your amnesty
Though personally I would press charges for any hidden crime. You can punch me in the face in a bar, that's fine. But steal and hide and you're trash.
yup. he has been doin it all his wretched life.
Who knows what else he has done in life, what else he has taken from people, or done to get where he is.
he will be if something else turns up on the guy or he steals again. the kid can then press the charges and add to it.
@@john.norris I kind of wonder if he’s in jail
You handled this like a real man. Dignity, grace, maturity, I'm glad you got your stuff back!!!
A man that old taking other people things without a second thought has probably been doing sketchy things like that for a loooong time. Glad he finally got caught.
Ye and living kinda nice too, noth like he needed it. Hes a crackhead or taking metamfetamin the way he moves his lips.
He's got the mind of a con man. most likely he's not only been stealing for a long time, he's used to getting away with it and talking his way out of it and a lot of people would buy it and believe him and now he realizes that they got the proof and he can't talk his way out of it.
No sympathy
House built on lies always kind of look like this. There's a reason these people hide in the woods.
Should’ve pressed charges honestly..
It's not his fault. He thought it was abandoned so he painted the cameras and put on a mask and showed up with a SUV with no plates to steal stuff.
Shouldn’t the police have arrested him, despite giving the stuff back? Just wondering why they let him
@@elvismorales7741 so no prosecution
Guarantee it's not his first time, there was a lot of planning in what he did. Prosecute the "Aw shucks I'm sorry" guy and maybe his neighbors might have realized what happened to their missing stuff to. If they would have pulled the warrant the next day all that stuff would have been gone and he would have been irate and "how dare you"
"No excuse, but here's my excuse." So glad you caught the guy. This is a very satisfying video. And you're far too kind.
I would not have been nice. I'm very impressed with how you kept your cool.
He went from "I took some pain killers and alcohol and wanted to feel like a kid again" to "I saw the for sale sign and thought everything was free" real quick.
I feel like he was explaining his mindset, and when he said no excuse he was referring to how there is no justification to his mindset.
Impossible to know what he’s like in person, but Cody seems like a standup guy. I respect the way he handled the situation. Class act
@@MrSatchelpack kinda ironic considering how you've been brainwashed by the media into hating all cops.
I grew up in a rural area like that and the Sheriff's deputies and even State Police take things like that very seriously because petty theft can turn into a series of murders really quickly out there where nobody will hear a gunshot or take it seriously.
