VW ID.4 Customize the Center Console Screen Display

Do you know that you can customize the center console display screen? You can rearrange the tiles to show the information you want. I personally setup the first page to show map, trip computer, CarPlay and Radio.

Good video! I just want to add that you can have carplay/android Auto on main screen in a slightly smaller format and still be able to control it and swipe to other screens. Choose the layout with one big main screen, I like that!

Thank you, this was very helpful! I assumed this was possible but the online manual was hard to understand. I will try this out tomorrow on my 3 days old ID.3. I thought it was about holding the finger on a tile and I tried today but I guess I just didn't hold it long enough. One thing I miss from my Golf is to have the trip counter always visible when going on longer trips. Seems I can get this if I want.

Honestly, I almost never use the VW UI on the infotainment system. It's pretty much always on Android Auto. The VW UI I went into once to set settings that I never touched again.

How do you add a tile for switching auto-hold on and off?

This is quite a bit different now in 3.1 version of the software for the MY 22 and newer.

Vw should fix this stupid touch screen & touch controls for climate & volume. Other than that, ID4 is a solid car. Drives like a dream.
