    I’m in the UK I ordered my ID4 in July it’s getting delivered in two weeks time and I’ve just had my fast charger installed at home too, cannot actually wait now! Been following all your videos so I can tweak my setup when it arrives, just have to remember the steering wheel is on the right in mine 🤣

      Yeah we drive on the wrong side of the road here (I used to live in the UK myself). Good luck with the delivery! It's a great car.

    Thanks for the video on travel assist. I have used it on the highway and really helps take pressure off your wrists since you just have lightly hold the steering wheel

    Good info just got my id4 life ordered in June 2021, no book in car on how to use anything so your videos are great. Running software v.2.3.0 Have a comment about this video is in portrait mode can't see what's going on, please redo video if you can in landscape mode would be helpful as wife likes to see on big TV. Keep up the good work.

    0:28 that truck. Tell me you're in Massachusetts without telling me you're in Massachusetts.

    I’ve used Travel Assist and do like it. However, I haven’t used it in heavy traffic. What happens if your going at 65mph and someone pulls in front of you abruptly. Will it decelerate quickly or slow down at a reasonable rate? Thank you for your tips, I enjoy your channel!

      It does work - that literally just happened on my way home earlier on the highway. However, that car quickly accelerated so my ID.4 just slow down for a few seconds. Of course, I do stay alert since I need to be able to act if the car couldn’t.

    Hi, how long it allows to hold the hands off the steering wheel for before it produces sound alerting you to get them back? thankx

      10 seconds before message warning on the dash, 15 secs before beeping, for me in my US spec ID4.

    Is this feature an upgrade? Do you know if it's in the pro s package or do we have to upgrade all the way to gradient?

      I am pretty sure it is available on all US models. VW is pushing safety and tech as standard features. If you find out that is not the case do let me know!

    I have a few questions on this. How do you toggle between travel assist and ACC only?
    After braking or accelerating with your foot, how do you restart the travel assist?
    Will the acc work in stop and go traffic?

    • @EVTipsAndTricks
      @EVTipsAndTricks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Accelerating will not cancel TA. If you press the brake, it will be canceled. You can just hit resume to restart it.

    Do you have to keep tension on the wheel so the system knows your hands are on the wheel?

    • @EVTipsAndTricks
      @EVTipsAndTricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it has a capacitive sensor. You can see that I try to keep my hands touching the wheel lightly most of the time

    I have a question, in tesla's.. weight is added on steering to fool the system so the car drives by it self without keeping the alert on. What can be done to fool this system?

    Does it have stop and go in heavy traffic?

    • @EVTipsAndTricks
      @EVTipsAndTricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Almost yes... If you check out the other video on Adaptive Cruise Control, I show that. In the US, if the car comes to a complete stop for a bit, it will not automatically "go", you have to tap the accelerator.

      @@EVTipsAndTricks when you accelerate does it go back to how it’s been set or do you push on “resume” to go back to previous setting. Or, does it reset to normal driving, thus needing to set it again to the speed you want? Thank you great vids and tips!

      @@jessicaal415 it should go back to how it was set. You wouldn't have to re-engage travel assist.

    What about the travel assist temporarily off warning that keeps popping up every 10 seconds? I understand it is a major nightmare for many VW drivers, so what is the remedy?
