    So, to improve the sound, you adjust the sound? Amazing!!

    Can never go wrong with high treble/High base and low to mid-range.
    Also turn phone volume all the way up and adjust master from car.

    I don't know the possible package of the ID.4. But in the ID.3 I have the sound system with the subwoofer. Great sound.

    The fact is it still suck. I’m wondering if simply adding a DSP works without costing an arm.

      DSP definitely, but also need more power.

    Unfortunately any good you may see int the entertainment side of the id.4 tech package is way offset by the terrible Carnet support app, and the lack of OTA support. S/W is still at same level it left the factory with and that is a shame.

    My problem is that the sound fades in and out wired or wireless , I think I may have to bring it for service

      Yeah that sounds strange.

      Heard that from a few people. Hopefully it gets addressed. Planning on ordering my id4 soon.

    What about putting a bose Bluetooth speaker in the car?

      @EVTipsAndTricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess that's an option!

      right, good idea - which one is the best and to control it conveniently?

    Do you think the sound is bad enough to need aftermarket speakers?

      I thought so before, now I can live with it to some extend. Also the ID.4 is new enough that we have to wait for after marketers to catchup? What it really need is a new headend but that is not going to be easy with such an integrated system, right? It will be great if there are drop in replacements for the main speakers.

    ok i pretty much disagree with you - the sounds system is the worst i ever had in a car and at the same time this is the most expensive car i ever bought. you conclude that "it is perfectly fine for driving" . hm, a very weird comment to me. the ID4 has a super quiet cabin and would be ideal to listen to great music but they messed up brutally. i have a song where i get goose bumps in my fiat 500e but in the ID4 i was shocked that such a plain audio system even existed TODAY - it should be unlawful. first i had to check if it even was stereo setting or i accidentally was in mono. sadly no, that was it - bummer. for a test i put a tiny bluetooth speaker in the car and played the sound through that one and it sounded better

      "good enough" is relative. If you have a good system then this definitely will not do. I agree with you there. I enjoy sitting back with a good amp at home with my Grado RS1, but also enjoy my Jaybird Vista while running in the gym. If they would offer a sound system upgrade it will make many people happy.

    Can the ID4 play music from a flash drive? With the drive in Windows format with directories etc.

    • @EVTipsAndTricks
      @EVTipsAndTricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes it should.

    • @erhardschreck2192
      @erhardschreck2192 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes - that is what i do - then use the MEDIA selection in the infosystem but does not make the sound any better

    Honestly, the worst way to get better sound is to focus the sound more in the front...
    The more you move it back, the more you'll hear the back speakers - meaning actual surround.
    What you're doing is simply removing any kind of feeling that there is more than 2 speakers, which definitly is not improving things.

    Most cars still have crappy sound systems. I have given up expecting good sound in a car. I am hoping the new Ioniq 5 and Kia 6 EV will deliver a better all around EV with a decent sound system. Rather ironic with EVs on a long trip needing you to kill time while charging at a public charging station.

    • @EVTipsAndTricks
      @EVTipsAndTricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if the sound system is good and you can chill with music while waiting, right? Seriously though, I still really like the ID.4 as a whole.

      @@EVTipsAndTricks I still have an AWD on order, btu clearly VW cut corners in laces. My guess is once they start making these in US we may get the HUD that is available in EU. They coudl have optioned up the Statement package and added HUD, Homelink and such and added another $500-$1000K. At least make VW blessed homelink mirror a dealer accessory along with a spare.

      Audi's Bang and Olufsen is good. I used to have Bose in an A4, that was super. Expecting a lot from Audi Q4 sonos system.
