Saw him live on Auston City Limits, when he first came out, and became an instant fan for life, and made me realize i had a lot of work to do to get anywhere close to as good as he was, and emotion he plays with on this is off the charts. and im Very proud to say i was born in the same state as him.
He is my favorite blues/rock style guitarist for sure. Could you imagine what he could have done musically if he wasn't been killed at 35 years old? He finally got clean and sober, then gets in a helicopter crash. Such is the fate for many musicians though, live hard and fast and risk checking out early! RIP SRV!
I've never seen the reactors need to excise that portion of this video. I've seen video-overlays and assumed someone complained. I still don't understand any copyright holder who doesn't want the seeds of future sales castrated and buried... no farmer EVER had future success by not-seeding his land. THanks for YOUR reaction, though. This is really a wonderful transcendental performance - a visit by SRV thru a variety of electric blues, and taking us along with him. Plus he gets to demonstrate what he learned about guitar prowess but also showmanship and it's effect on the audiences.
Your very welcome and there will be more SRV soon. My future videos won't be cropped like this one. This was my first reaction video and have since found ways to avoid cropping the video. Also please subscribe to hear more and thanks for commenting!
I'm just beginning to learn about this but it seems like the whole copywrite thing is ridiculously complicated because while you had to break the video apart to avoid getting dinged other reactors have played the video in it's entirety without issue, apparently. How random and/or complicated are the rules?
I think it is common for these type of videos. This is my first reaction video, so I did like they asked and cut part of the video out. On my second video, I did not cut the video up, and the same outcome occurred. Basically both of my videos now have pending copyright claims, as I chose to dispute the claims on grounds of fair use. They now have 30 days respond. They can leave it as (with a copyright claim), release the claim completely, or take the video down. It is all up to the management of the artists. Hope this helps!

:)
Auckland town hall. Man it was pure magic
I saw that SRV Jeff Beck tour, at Madison Square Garden.
Great show!
I still shake my head thinking that SRV made Eric Clapton feel insecure playing guitar, and earned high praise from BB and Albert King
It's sad that he was young when he was in that helicopter crash, it's hard to imagine what he would have done throughout all these years.

@@rocktownblues You do what you need to - your reaction is what we're here for, NOT a replay of a video we all know.
still love Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland one of my all time favorites
That will be coming soon! I just need to cycle through some more performers.
Peak level musician
SRV was among the very best!
Subbing hoping for more SRV!!!
More to come in the future, this was my first attempt at a reaction video! Thanks for commenting!
@@HS-hr5wp Thanks for the suggestions. Tin Pan Alley will be my next SRV reaction, excellent song!
Check out Jimmy Vaughan and Stevie play Pipeline live.
I will do that, thanks for the suggestion!

And to add to this after 30 days the Content ID Copyright claim was dropped.
I saw that SRV / Beck show in Columbus Ohio on Halloween night!
I saw them about about 2 weeks later at Public Hall in Cleveland... an awesome show!
@@rocktownblues ❤️ the first time I saw him, he opened for Robert Plant someplace between Akron and Cleveland May 7th 1988
