Stevie Ray and his guitar were like one entity. The intensity of his playing showed on his face. There'll never be another SRV. He was The Best. No question about it.
Man, I love to see your smiles after hearing watching and experiencing the brilliance of SRV. The good die young. He was a channel of the musical soul.
Stevie would mind meld with his guitar and the music poured from his soul. He played with all of the old great bluesmen and they were all in awe of him and his talent. People say he was one of the nicest, kindest people.
I had the great pleasure of seeing Stevie Ray & Double Trouble play live 4 times. Each show was better than the last. Awesome experience. Such a true talent.
You are doing a great service modeling music appreciation. Performing live and seeing everyone in the audiience absorbed in their cell phone takes all the energy out of the performance. I was of the generation that had to go to symphonies. I also saw Stevie Ray in Austin 100 times before he became famous. His first break from the club scene was the Armadillo World Headquarters as warm up to a Jimi Hendrix impersonator Randy Hansen. "what happened to Stevie?" My friend asked. He played Vodoo Chile.
I was at this gig, sitting at a table with two other guitar players, that’s me at 1:39 in the video sitting at a table with a pink T-shirt on and dark brown hair, I saw him two other times, this was by far the best night, in fact, I defy anybody to show me a better live show of any band anywhere anytime, he had just been kicked off the Bowe to her and really had something to prove
Love this reaction, I've been playing the blues for 35 years, and srv had such a well rounded skill set that it was insane, he was responsible for the blues revision of the 90s and 2000s in my opinion, although there's many artists that was doing it for years, he really put them up on a pedestal, and showed the depth of that genre to younger generations.
I saw him live in 89. Nothing else like it before or after. Two things to keep in mind: it was live - one take and no Autotune. This was more Stevie than Voodoo Chile, which he meant as an homage to Jimi and kept close to that version. This was more of the true SRV. That almost pained expression on his face I always interpret as the the inspiration of the universe passing through him to his guitar. He never really played it -- just made it speak what was spoken to him
Guys great upload. Fyi, this guy improvised 100% of the time. Even his playing the notes, it was improvised. He never played the same twice. Again, that's for the upload.
Seen him Live 3 times. Still have a couple of the tshirts and a concert ticket. To see him do this live! Wow, Blew our minds.. There are a lot of awesome guitarists out there no doubt, But there is no other SRV.

Jimmy got that TALENT THAT GOD ONY BLESSES VERY FEW WITH. HE IS AN ICON OF GUITAR
Jimmy?
I remember exactly where I was when I found he passed. He is and always will be a LEGEND.
Stevie would mind meld with his guitar and the music poured from his soul. He played with all of the old great bluesmen and they were all in awe of him and his talent. People say he was one of the nicest, kindest people.
Crazy thing is...99 percent of song his eyes are shut!!!..he was a beast
The Man was Coked out when he played until the last year he was alive
That's the greatest guitar performance of all time. No comparison by far ever
This along with David Gilmour on Comfortably Numb Live Pulse are the 2 best guitar performances in history
Wittnissing, GREATNESS.! I eff'n LOVE you guys.
Man, you can feel the heaviness of those strings. Dude had mad power. RIP Stevie.
Seeing him live was an amazing experience. RIP Stevie. I hope you are jamming with all the greats we have lost.
He was touched. Every one has the thing they're good at. SRV was just exceptional at his. Gives me Goosebumps every time I hear him...
lol I’ve never seen Ollie smile that much!
Now imagine being there. It was transcendent.
Stevie Ray still the undisputed Champion
You feel him to your bones. There will never be another like him.
I saw him a few times., What an amazing experience...
Stevie was one in his music and guitar. It’s a spiritual experience!
So sad we were all cheated out of another 40 years of the Blues from Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Stevie was a virtuoso. My favorite guitarist of all time. RIP brother.
Stevie Ray Vaughan Tin Pan Alley (with Johnny Copeland) - Some deep blues!!!!
Yes💯💙‼️🎸🎶💙
66 here. Thinking that was the greatest live performance. Ever.
Been waiting for this since I saw the notification.
He was the GOAT and thank you guys so so much for just letting it play! Respect the music ! Old Granny here hope you don't mind but that isy music..
He is one of those that made some pick up the instrument, and made others put it down. 😎😎
I am SO glad I am alive when he was !!! 72 now, listened and saw a LOT of the greats..... but there's only ONE SRV ..!!!
SRV live has that way of putting your jaw on the floor every time . Well done men.
I especially enjoyed the moments all 3 of you were smiling....in harmony. Beautiful.
I saw this broadcast when it was new, I was 16, the whole show is incredible, legendary, I've never forgotten it. Great reaction!
"Wish he was still around to get his flowers". Agree 100%. Those who knew, knew, but the world knows today. RIP SRV.
Amen. The Spirit touches who the Spirit touches. Bless you, SRV.
THE BEST guitarist. in my opinion ,anywhere! R.I.P ...
I know that this music was pioneered by black artists, but SRV took it to another level, wow!
Seen him Live 3 times. Still have a couple of the tshirts and a concert ticket. To see him do this live! Wow, Blew our minds.. There are a lot of awesome guitarists out there no doubt, But there is no other SRV.
Does it get any better ? Go Stevie Ray !
An absolute MUST SEE/HEAR Classic,, Stevie Ray Vaughan "Couldn't Stand The Weather"
(Official Music Video A MUST!!!) 🔥 ❤ 🔥
If a man could become the soul of a instrument....that is SRV.
Stevie is my favotive artist. The man could play anything!!!!!
Every time I see Stevie Ray Vaughan play, I start to cry! I graduated from high school in 1981 !! Stevie Ray Vaughan and double trouble came on the scene! None of us knew we were witnessing a legend!
It’s so sad he’s gone can you imagine the amount of work he would’ve produced by now !
Saw Stevie Ray Vaughan play in a little bar in Greenville Avenue in Dallas about a 100 years ago. Fantastic evening.
