Welcome to RockTown Blues videos & DA Rogers Reacts video reactions.
RockTown Blues is a Blues, Blues Rock, CCM, Classic Rock and Hard Rock project headed by myself, Dennis Rogers. I currently do all of the writing, composing, recording, & mixing/mastering of my songs. I have performed most of the music, although other musicians have contributed too. And prior to the middle of 2023 all of my songs were mixed/mastered by BZ Lewis, Studio 132, Oakland, CA. All whom I thank!
I also do music reaction videos, which are on my DA Rogers Reacts playlist.
And lastly I am starting to do videos of cover songs, and various other music videos.
And about myself, I am a partially retired Mechanical Design Engineer/Class A Driver/Musician who does this as an addictive hobby. My passion is recording music and creating videos... it's my escape! If you enjoy my videos, please remember to hit the Like and Subscribe buttons!

This is a cover of one of my favorite songs by my favorite band of all time... Rush. I can't claim to be able play this with the same precision and accuracy as the great Alex Lifeson, but this is only a cover of the song. Also I have posted a few other versions of this, and decided to take them down. I recorded this version with a bass player from a cover band I was in, RetroPulse, and the sing...

Written by the late, great JJ Cale
What's song name?
This is a guitar cover of the song Kashmir that was written and recorded by Led Zeppelin.
Cool 😎
Thanks that's appreciated. Please subscribe to hear more!
premier like de la france....good jod
Thanks, that's appreciated!
I saw them mid 90s on Fremont St. in Vegas. Minus Jeff Lynne.
The pope without the Vatican ❤
Any ELO fan must listen to The Traveling Wilburys, which was a collaboration that Jeff did with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and George Harrison. You just know that a crew like that had to have produced killer music. ❤
Thanks for recomme dation. I think I'll do one of their songs soon!
Awesome
Thanks, it's appreciated!
lol I got this as an ad
Me too why is it saying sponsored the whole video?
I've never seen the reactors need to excise that portion of this video. I've seen video-overlays and assumed someone complained. I still don't understand any copyright holder who doesn't want the seeds of future sales castrated and buried... no farmer EVER had future success by not-seeding his land. THanks for YOUR reaction, though. This is really a wonderful transcendental performance - a visit by SRV thru a variety of electric blues, and taking us along with him. Plus he gets to demonstrate what he learned about guitar prowess but also showmanship and it's effect on the audiences.
Your very welcome and there will be more SRV soon. My future videos won't be cropped like this one. This was my first reaction video and have since found ways to avoid cropping the video. Also please subscribe to hear more and thanks for commenting!
@@rocktownblues You do what you need to - your reaction is what we're here for, NOT a replay of a video we all know.
I don’t consider them metal, they didn’t consider themselves metal either, Page or Plant stated that in an interview.
I totally agree, I do not consider them metal and I stated that. I stated that many people do, and that can be found all over the web.
I still shake my head thinking that SRV made Eric Clapton feel insecure playing guitar, and earned high praise from BB and Albert King
It's sad that he was young when he was in that helicopter crash, it's hard to imagine what he would have done throughout all these years.
Bonham followed Jimmy...JPJ never took his eyes off Bonham and Robert was right on time! Zeppelin did EVERYTHING!
Led Zeppelin was way more than just a hard rock band. I wish I would have had a chance to see them. I was a senior in HS when John Bohnam passed away, and the show I was getting ready to buy tickets for got cancelled. His passing literally ended that era of rock.
@@rocktownbluesI wish I had seen them live too, the early days to young, & later no transportation. I’d give up every concert I ever saw, just to see them live. Another great live performance is at Earls Court, the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying. The version of this date, has the best audio & visual. Both of these two lives are my favorites, so much soulful passion in playing & singing. Thank you for your reaction.
I saw that SRV Jeff Beck tour, at Madison Square Garden.
Great show!
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
Great song! If you want to hear more pleaee follow my channel!
Saw them twice..Robert was pure sex on stage..best band ever❤
Bonzo passed in September of 1980
You are exactly right, I am not sure how Oct. was inserted into my text. Thanks for the catch! I will modify it when I re-upload it to my new reaction channel.
Auckland town hall. Man it was pure magic
I'm just beginning to learn about this but it seems like the whole copywrite thing is ridiculously complicated because while you had to break the video apart to avoid getting dinged other reactors have played the video in it's entirety without issue, apparently. How random and/or complicated are the rules?
I think it is common for these type of videos. This is my first reaction video, so I did like they asked and cut part of the video out. On my second video, I did not cut the video up, and the same outcome occurred. Basically both of my videos now have pending copyright claims, as I chose to dispute the claims on grounds of fair use. They now have 30 days respond. They can leave it as (with a copyright claim), release the claim completely, or take the video down. It is all up to the management of the artists. Hope this helps!
And to add to this after 30 days the Content ID Copyright claim was dropped.
still love Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland one of my all time favorites
That will be coming soon! I just need to cycle through some more performers.
I am always impressed, not just by the passion they performed with, and the skills of the individuals, but how "tightly" they played together. I really think that Jimmy Page was the best blues guitar in the rock business in that era.
Agreed, the whole band was tight. They always followed each other well with any improving, tempo changes, etc. Listen to all 4 slow down and speed up, and they never fall out of sync.
Always the best!
Check out Jimmy Vaughan and Stevie play Pipeline live.
I will do that, thanks for the suggestion!
Saw him live on Auston City Limits, when he first came out, and became an instant fan for life, and made me realize i had a lot of work to do to get anywhere close to as good as he was, and emotion he plays with on this is off the charts. and im Very proud to say i was born in the same state as him.
He is my favorite blues/rock style guitarist for sure. Could you imagine what he could have done musically if he wasn't been killed at 35 years old? He finally got clean and sober, then gets in a helicopter crash. Such is the fate for many musicians though, live hard and fast and risk checking out early! RIP SRV!
:)
I saw that SRV / Beck show in Columbus Ohio on Halloween night!
I saw them about about 2 weeks later at Public Hall in Cleveland... an awesome show!
@@rocktownblues ❤️ the first time I saw him, he opened for Robert Plant someplace between Akron and Cleveland May 7th 1988
Peak level musician
SRV was among the very best!
Subbing hoping for more SRV!!!
More to come in the future, this was my first attempt at a reaction video! Thanks for commenting!
@@HS-hr5wp Thanks for the suggestions. Tin Pan Alley will be my next SRV reaction, excellent song!
Excelente rola es un rock muy agradable y pegajoso 👍🤟👍🤟👍🤟👍🤟👍

Thanks, thats appreciated!
I saw this on Slaps and immediately fell in love with the vocals. This is a badass song.
Thanks, that's really appreciated. Please make sure you do a like on the song and subscribe to my channel. I'm also on Spotify, Bandcamp, and most of the music sites too.
