Stevie was, in my opinion, the greatest blues guitarist ever. He became friends with and learned from those he admired. He developed his own style and took it to a higher level than anyone before or since. He did one thing but did it better than anyone. His passing was a loss.
First time I had seen Stevie was Austin City Limits TV show. I was blown away and went out and got myself a guitar even knowing that I would never be that good.
It always seemed to me like he never really "played" the guitar but he just let the music inside him flow from his soul through his fingers to the strings and out the amps. RIP SRV

This El Mocambo show in Toronto was amazing. Ive had the dvd for years!
I found my copy of the El Macombo DVD over a decade ago outside the garbage room on my floor in my apartment building. Somebody was moving out and apparently didn't want to keep it. It is in perfect condition. I'm never deserting Stevie Ray.
Thank you for your raw reaction! You've just been exposed to the G.O.A.T playing that rockin southern music.... SRV IS Power! Thank you!
Awwwwww Stevie…..miss you
It’s one of his top performances. Powerful is the word for sure. He played like his life depended on it.
Man could bend them like nobody else! The best ever in my opinion.
Possessed by the guitar gods. Amen.
First time in Toronto I walked up to the El Mocambo and just pressed myself against it, in case any of that energy was still bouncing around in there. I'll always regret never seeing him in person.
I was a 17 year old teenager from Buffalo NY at that show in Toronto.
A life long fan ever since.
Stevie was, in my opinion, the greatest blues guitarist ever. He became friends with and learned from those he admired. He developed his own style and took it to a higher level than anyone before or since. He did one thing but did it better than anyone. His passing was a loss.
He IS the guitar demon.
First time I had seen Stevie was Austin City Limits TV show. I was blown away and went out and got myself a guitar even knowing that I would never be that good.
It never gets old watching yall exsperiance srv for the first time ..I relive it through yall..I love seeing yall love stevie r.i.p stevie
It always seemed to me like he never really "played" the guitar but he just let the music inside him flow from his soul through his fingers to the strings and out the amps. RIP SRV
Glad you sensed/heard how double trouble jacked up the bass/drums, following Stevie's first verse, theyre amazing!
SRV, the best of the best who played with a certian passon that will never be duplicated again
It's a special day when you hear Stevie Ray Vaughan for the first time.
This man was simply a vessel through which this mastery flowed.
I was fortunate enough to see him in concert a few times, once spending 3 hours with him in his last new year's eve concert before he unfortunately died.
It was one of the BEST experiences of my life for certain!
Mind blowing recordings at the El Mocambo. I'm wiping away tears. Thx Jone. Tucson, Arizona
The goat without question. There are many greats even the best of the greats but only one GOAT that is SRV
You have now heard of.....the GOAT. RIP SRV.
Your reaction is one of the better ones I've seen. Where English is not your first language, you described him perfectly! Powerful and passionate, possessed by the guitar god's! I love to see people appreciating SRV. He was in a class by himself. 👍👍
Ive watched nearly a thousand reactions to this performance.
Sometimes I just sit and cry as I watch the new viewers experience go from amazed to when he goes behind his back blown away.
It’s maybe one of the most beautiful things to ever share!
Thank you ❤
Thanks for picking Stevie. These videos are teaching music appreciation, a great service to the community. Last gig I played, no one had a cell phone out. That's the goal.
You have to be in awe of him. Every time I hear him he goes farther up on the list of the greatest guitar players I've heard. He may be the best. Gone way too soon as a lot of other great artists but his music will always live on because he is that guy.❤
You have witnessed "THE GOAT"
Stevie has excellent smooth jazz chops on guitar too. Check out 'Riviera Paradise' from the Austin City Limits show.
Mentioned that too
In hte 80s and 90s SRV led a blues music revolution all over the world.
There are guitar players and then there's Stevie. I've been a rock guy all my life and Stevie just blows me away every time........
SRV was simply on another level.
