Gary, will this camera run on rechargeables ? Was thinking for garden use it would not matter about max battery life so much.
It will but not for long. A couple of days or so. Good lithium ion batteries last way longer but are obviously quite expensive. You could always buy a 6volt 2 amp power supply.

I use apple so can’t really help, I would email the company, they are quite good at responding quickly. They will probably be able to help.

Just to clarify, am I right in saying that this camera doesn’t allow Live View? I’m looking for a camera that will actually allow me to watch the action as it is happening and not just watch a captured video after the event.
I don’t have that one anymore but the one i use as my go to camera the CY95 is also wifi and bluetooth and it has live view. Just open the app start bluetooth then enable wifi for the camera. It will show exactly what is in view in realtime.
Whats the battery life? A few days , weeks or months?
That’s difficult to answer. If you use energiser batteries that will improve life a lot! But it depends what functions you have set and how much traffic it gets. If you have lots of hits every day then it will not last as long as if you get one or two a week.
the field of view seems a little narrower than I am used to from Trail Cameras.
It is on that model for some reason, unfortunately i have no idea why!
