It always touches me when I see people celebrating their animals b-day, it's so cute. My Mum for example, always prepares a huge bowl with fruits, carrots and other snacks for her gelding and when he starts scrunching (Nom nom nom), with his big dark eyes, wide nostrils, it's heartmelting. My friends dog too, she gets a bowl with some raw meat, apples, carrots and she loves it, always reacting slightly surprised, like, oh wow, what happened...? Is this all for me?! (nom nom nom, tailwagging)🤣😍

It broke my heart when my Zoe died. She was my best friend when my partner of 12 years and I split up. I should have paid more attention to her grief. She never complained, but was always there for me. Maybe she would have had a longer life if I hadn't been so selfish.

Very nice. I once had a German Shephard as well and had to leave him home for a 3 month trip. I made him a wonderful meal served on a plate, with knife fork and spoon aside and a glass of wine. He enjoyed it and three months later we were very happy to be together again.
@Girl Sage A friend of mine who was also the owner of one of the offspring of my shepherd. I had to go to England for a three month internship and there was a three month quarantine for dogs entering the UK at that time
Semper is Beautiful! He looks so much like our big boy German Shepherd that we had to put down a few months back, with the exception of size. Our big boy was named Diamond and he weighed in at around 130 pounds normally. But he started losing weight really rapidly and in 3 months he went all the way down to about 60 pounds and I had to put him down. But he never once flinched or complained because he loved being around us so much and he was so precious and playful too just like your boy.
Sorry to hear about your loss 😞 sounds like he was a great dog, I bet he had a great life! Semper just ate his dinner and had a treat now he’s tucked up in bed 😊
I lost my beloved Hans in May of 2020 ... he was only 14 and a rescue and my doggie soul mate. Semper looks very much like him ... so I shed a few tears over this video.
These beautiful creatures (GSD) are only with us for a short period of time (12years approx). So bestow all the love and attention you want. I have had Three of them/ all broke my heart. A fourth would be great but now an old man with dodgy knee's not possible.

I had a lovely Belgian (groendahl) too but the gsd was the One . never had such a perfect combination of sweet, smart and loyal constitution .. high high ball drive, heart of a lion and loved doing just ~anything~ with me .. trained so easy she picked it up fassst .. of course when they (she) is with their pack she loved it but high energy breed so I made sure she got exercise, stimulus .. I still cry more than I would think someone would, but like your Cassie, my Tundra was something truly special . I too am a pile of goo just re-living how she was a puppy, then older, and now, in the blink of an eye, gone . Memories are a twin-edged sword; deeply cherished but so cutting, where is that bundle of devotion, personality, and courage .. where did my girl go ..

No spicy foods, please! Not too much fatty food. Feed them lovingly and keep them with you for as long as you can. Because you'll miss them so much when they're gone.
He gets enough fun daily because he is at a forest preserve everyday for walks and play (usually with 2 sticks )and gets plenty of massages as he wishes.
GSD have some of the most innocent and angelic eyes.

It is just amazing what dog owners will do for their pets......My big GSD is spoiled to the core and we would not have it any other way.
