Exactly my thoughts, he is very priveleged to be able to live near such a beautful river and have room for that many dogs. Not saying he didnt work his butt off for the privilege, (I have no idea) but it's still good fortune regardless of how it happened.

cropped isn't even the word, her past owner literally cut off her ears entirely, and you'd think that after that, she'd be distrusting and scared of humans that'd hurt her again, but it's just like you said.
she was the most sweetest and friendly dog, like nothing had ever happened to her- we really don't deserve them.

That's not just any foster dad, that's Lee. So happy for her.
We rescued a 2 years old female black lab that we were told wouldn't make it. Too hyper, too misbehaved, chews things, cant be trusted around children, bla bla bla. I was told by the person that gave her to us that she would likely fail. Well, that was nine months ago. I used her as a pillow last night like I do every night. She hangs with my 1 and 2 year old granddaughters, 5 year old yellow lab, 9 year old Dachshund, and 5 year old mutt (really, not sure what she is) 24/7. She is very motherly and loving to the children. Never runs away, has never chewed anything but a bennabone, no potty mistakes. My wife and I were talking this morning about how much we love her and how smart, loving, kind and wonderful she is. We are sooooo lucky. We shake our heads every time we talk about the former owner telling us she was an un-trainable dog. Bottom line, sometimes its the owners who fail.
This dude is a saint. He's taken in so many dogs.

his goal is to adopt out all dogs he encounters in shelters but if they never seem to find someone to adopt them, he will. hence, his sanctuary. they can stay there until they are adopted or they can stay there for forever. God bless Lee and the work that you do!!!

I know fostering is so important, but it breaks my heart to see these dogs come out of their shell, learn to trust a family, become part of that family, then get sent away where they may not be as loved forever. When you don't notice who's in the thumbnail but you know it's Lee from the very first moment of puppy-talk! 🥰 This guy is the universe's gift to dogs. The amount of hard work and emotional trauma he goes through to save as many as he possibly can, can never be properly valued. And even the ones he's too late to save get some of the most devoted, gentle care they'll ever see, and pass in a safe environment surrounded by the love of Asher House and all its residents.
To see her joyfully jump into the river is a beautiful thing.

Who made this pup so terrified. I’ve had labs and boxers , beagles and chihuahuas , whoever scared this poor pup like this to make her so scared is sad to see. Great rescue but people stop hurting pups to make them so scared

One local to me, lives with a breeder of champion Labradors, big burly working variety. Little Dolly is definitely The Boss. Of everything she meets.

God, I love this man and his dogs so much. just crying. it's really so beautiful, it's a real happiness for dogs - freedom and games, a whole pack around, a loving owner. I have been following this channel for many years, Asher has become an example for me, and about two years ago I took my first dog from the shelter. I also saw this transformation from a thin, downtrodden dog into my happy and well-fed friend. and it's an incredible feeling. Now I have three dogs, they have made me the happiest person in the world, and I also want to give them the happiest life.
Being rescued by The Asher house is like hitting the doggie lottery. He's the absolute best. Love heals all in his eyes.

Lee is known for foster failing :). Lee renamed the dog Ella, was adopted by him and is now part of his pack.
Lee, sometimes I watch doggy videos and cry about them being treated cruelly. But, today-I am crying tears of joy for this sweet little chocolate brown dog who was so afraid at first. She fell in love with you because you were kind to her. Keep doing what you're doing, you make a huge difference!
I was hoping that this was going to be a 3 hour movie, this was one of the best videos out there. Amazing to see this dog be herself again.

When Asher said this will be your home for a little while, immediately changed that to “forever”. Of all the Asher vids I’ve watched I’ve only seen him adopt out one foster dog. The rest he adopted himself and I so feel him. At one point he’ll prob have 700+ dog pack. Dude is living the dream.
Honestly, I can't see how those dogs could be happier anywhere else. It's like a dog heaven for them - swimming, running around, exploring, socializing, and clearly eating good every single day. I mean, even I'D be happy there as a human.
At some point the animal hording is gonna be negative for the dogs. But for now hes doin' good things I guess.
@@russellreal you should check out his channel. Hoarding is usually when someone has more animals then they can care for, but this dude bought land and started a sanctuary for his. But he’s def not the usual bc he has resources many don’t have. He’s young, strong, motivated and has an income to support his passion. He’s able to give his dogs individualized attn and care, and they look great and are super happy. Most ppl couldn’t do what he does and be responsible. He’s def got a lot of privilege to be able to do this. But if I was in his position I’d do something similar. I don’t have the same resources so my dream of having having an old dog home is on hold, but if I had what he has, I’d been swimming in senior and hospice dogs.
While it's commendable that he saves so many dogs all dogs need a real home & family.
I know he had to find a home for one dog because being part of a large pack wasn't really good for that particular dog. Lee Asher is a saint. His heart just continues to expand.

Thing is, he's got more than dogs. This is really who these two are. They' really are what they seem to be. Some of the spots they've been in, you just can't make it up! They work at finding homes. No clue on how many animals saved.

My brother is the same way. My dog Meili is just as skittish if not more then this girl. And it took weeks to have her get used to my dad. But my brother came home and she sniffed him and went 'this is friend shaped and was NEVER really skittish of him.

I am so jealous of this guy! OMG if I could figure out how to both provide for my own basic needs AND rescue and care for such a large pack of happy, energetic, grateful dogs, I would be so happy and so emotionally fulfilled! My husband is like that... I've always been an animal lover, bringing home lost or hurt animals to find their owner or nurse them back to health. To find this big man who is so sweet & gentle with animals (& me!)... I'm a very lucky lady!!!

Now an adult, I dreamed all my childhood of having a whole pack of dogs. They are my biggest addiction and passion; I'm now lucky to share my life with 9 furbabies who are my entire reason for living. I admire people like Lee and Lala, and also Jenna Marbles for being such amazing dog owners

@@rubytuesday7005 I'm a sucker for cats and dogs myself, the most I've had at once was 2 dogs and 2 cats, and another time 2 cats and 5 feral cats outside who had their own food/water and cat house with spare pillows and blankets during the winter, plus the occasional raccoon who stopped by for easy food 8)

I love dogs too, but PLEASE stop saying "fostering" and "dad". You are NOT your dogs dad. Don't try to equate a dog with a human child, because there is no comparison. "Forever Home" is another one. It's not forever. It's like 7-12 years at the most. The left loves to "play house". Adopt a child that needs to be adopt or foster a child. Be a real man.

All the animals on his sanctuary get first class medical care and regular grooming. He works very hard to give them the best.

@@MarkEliasGrant yes my brother was a zoo keeper at central park zoo and he loved his animals better than people and they loved him. He was so caring and kind to them. He said the people would tease the animals
