On this episode of "Fixin' Two" we lower the 1965 Chevy C10 4 inches in the front and 5 inches in the back. Rear springs- www.summitraci... Front springs- www.summitraci...
We didn’t C notch but we are sitting on the bump stops. We read the same thing and maybe our original springs were worn out in the front but when we lowered on 2 inch springs, it was the same height so we went with 4/5.
We added links in the description for the springs after your comment. Mcgaughy’s 5 inch springs in the rear and Western Classics 4 inch drop in the front. We are pretty much sitting on the bump stops but we didn’t have to c-notch the frame.
Remember doing these things with my dad on my 62 C10, he pass in 2014 but those memories will Never be forgotten !
Congrats men, what a great time with your father appreciate him much and each other. 👍👍👍
Love the hi dollar tool set
They get the job done!
Still amazed at how solid that truck is for its age. Like the lowered look, too.
Good job guys now I want to lower my 64! thanks for the video
Awesome! Hopefully this isn’t a video of what NOT to do!
That looks great, love the ride height. Keep working at it, hoping to see the latest on the car.
Great video guys. Going to be doing this to my 66 soon. Saw something in the video that shows we live close together. Hope to meet you guys someday!!

Old Blue 👍
What size of wheels and tires do you have? They look like the factory stock. Nice video. Thanks
They’re just factory steelies and hubcaps
So was it lowered 2-3 or 4-5?
We started with 2/3 but 2 in the front didn’t look lowered so we went with 4/5.
@@fixintwo123 did you have to c notch the frame ? I have a 66 and been told the lowest you can go was a 2-4 ?
We didn’t C notch but we are sitting on the bump stops. We read the same thing and maybe our original springs were worn out in the front but when we lowered on 2 inch springs, it was the same height so we went with 4/5.
What springs did you use?
We added links in the description for the springs after your comment. Mcgaughy’s 5 inch springs in the rear and Western Classics 4 inch drop in the front. We are pretty much sitting on the bump stops but we didn’t have to c-notch the frame.

That truck was brand new and on the road just before I was born.
