After I retire, I will live in both countries, spending winters in Kenya and Summers in the diaspora.

Irony: I was born and raised in Taita.. Did my undergrad in Eldoret. I always felt a kiwaruu when past Wanginge and leaving the many Nrbi lights behind me. The kiwaruu will be replaced by dancing butterflies when the journey is towards Nrbi and you see those many lights.. Yes, now, all I want is to live somewhere in Taita or in Arusha/Moshi.

A lot of us diaspora people we were so excited to leave to go to Europe or USA.. but man do we wish to go back home because it's not as sweet as we thought.. nothing compares to home..
It’s very true!! Kenya feeds our soul.. it’s interesting that regardless of how many years or decades you’re in the diaspora, you still say ‘am going home’ when you travel to Kenya.
Hi Lynn; am a Luo following you from the US. The other day you shared the updates of Konza smart city. I was happy to see the picture of the late former president Mwai Kibabi. Keep up.
I love listening to your interview. A man who wants to marry you will do so gladly, not waste your time dating you for years . I admire your honesty. Ghana viewing.
Lovely. I am round the corner from you in Riat Hills. I made the same decision along time ago, that I will settle in the village and I am loving the lifestyle.
Congratulations, bro! I haven’t watched it all yet, but I was reading the comments. I've been living in the USA for seven years now, and I don’t think I’ll be returning home for at least another ten years. My goal is to reach a steady monthly income of around $250,000, possibly from real estate investments like apartments. Life in Kenya truly is amazing-the weather and everything else is fantastic. However, one of my concerns is the healthcare system. Here in the USA, they treat you first, and as long as you have good insurance, it’s manageable. But in Kenya, it feels more money-driven; they expect payment upfront. Having good health coverage is essential. That’s why I think dual citizenship is ideal-it gives you the option to return if you ever need extensive medical treatment.
Thank you so much young man. I am in 🇺🇸 and thanks to my brother, he managed to supervise my house building in western. Though being a woman I had ups and downs but it is down.
I love this talk I have retired in the village I am so relaxed and I enjoy everythings. The first thing to do plan your life and put up a home do not fear as many people say ooh I will be killed if I put up a good house. Congratulations my son welcome home
This is so inspiring. I'm almost finishing 1yr in the U.S but I am still convinced that I will return to Kenya and settle there after a few years. I will come back to comment on this video when I take this bold step.
I wish if NCBA Bank can do a programme with Lynn Ngugi. Find a ground to do video on and then boom, the best bank in Kenya gets to connect with the best customers in and out of Kenya

A message to all you people who think 'majuu' is home. Once you get to 65+ and they don't need you, youll realise how bad the country politics is. You won't be able to work with energetic youthful minds that are tech orientated, can work longer hours and accept less pay. The comfort you enjoy overseas will only be affordable home only if you laid the foundation.
I love that point. One of the relatives you have a chance to pick is your wife. And the choice of the woman you marry will either make you or break you?

It’s very true!! Kenya feeds our soul..
it’s interesting that regardless of how many years or decades you’re in the diaspora, you still say ‘am going home’ when you travel to Kenya.
YES!!
Thanks :)
Soo true
You can also get a health insurance in Kenya. Then it does not have to be money first the treatment.
😂😂😂$250,000 monthly!!! ? Pls be realistic with yo goals!!
@@shyn996I read somewhere that someone paid UD$10billion tax. I believe you can achieve what you want
Thanks @lynn. Your show is very educative and entertainment. I always listen to it while doing cleaning abroad🙏
Thank you so much young man.
I am in 🇺🇸 and thanks to my brother, he managed to supervise my house building in western.
Though being a woman I had ups and downs but it is down.
Hi ,It shall be well 🙏I went through that still going on strong ❤showing my journey on TH-cam makes me feel good ❤
Thanks :)
Loved the whole article. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Welcome back to Kenya 🇰🇪 bro! East or West home is the best!❤
Asante :)
Thank you for this Lynn. This is really eye opening.
This is the life I am longing for when I settled financially. So help me God. ❤
I love this talk I have retired in the village I am so relaxed and I enjoy everythings. The first thing to do plan your life and put up a home do not fear as many people say ooh I will be killed if I put up a good house.
Congratulations my son welcome home
Lynn i love love you for free. The stories you bring us are eye opening. I really laughed on the part of "chameleon politicians".
YES :)
East West home will always be the best irregardless 😊can't wait for my turn yo come and just settle for good.
Lived in UK for 6yrs;but since came to kenya am comf100%it's not easy but after sometimes it's comfortable here

Watching from USA (Maine state) I miss Nairobi also. Thank you for the great interview
Everyone dream of this life.. congratulations for achieving your dream 🎉🎉 happy for you
Thanks :)
Maybe they watching
I found @I&m bank to be more accommodating to cater for diaspora very effective
I like the fact that his home is also accessible! Well done Eddie.
Awesome..inspired even before minutes of the talk. This will be me soon🎉
Thanks :)
On my way too. Following in your footsteps Mr. Odidi. I know I will make it💯💯
Who’s your builder, architect, contractor??? Your home is beautiful ❤
Karateng' is on the way to my village home in Ugenya and many of my friends are married from there. Wonderful story, quite inspiring. I live in Nairobi and still too far behind from even contemplating moving to the village, regardless we can dream
I just love this show, very inspiring, home is the best ....east or west! Awesome life 😎😎
You are such an inspiration my brother, God Bless you. Am from western but have always thought of settling in Kisumu. I will be checking your channel.
Wow that hair style looks so good on you Lynn you inspire me in many ways
I am saving all my money planning to go back home in 5 years
Good luck!
Same here. Am in UK but planning to settle back home within 5 years.
The best thing you did for your children. I will be going back to 🇯🇲 also. I watch you on Jael in the village.
I love that point. One of the relatives you have a chance to pick is your wife. And the choice of the woman you marry will either make you or break you?
This guy looks familiar from oyugis toob❤❤ much love and good job you have inspired me alot🎉
Wuon Odidi, I want this house plan.😊😊
Me too
Want😮
😂 It's not the house but the interior design that gives it high value.
