I seems silly to me that Africa is so divided. I realize it is a huge continent with 54 counties but come one. The powerful western leader love to see you divided because it is easier to exploit the individual countries this way. Furthermore, Kenya uses drug sniffing dogs at points of entry in the country because it is a large hub for drugs coming in from the middle east.
Its good for Kenyans to be reminded how good our country is, even with all our economic woes, we're still a great country. I live in America and every American who I've met who visited Kenya says they love Kenya and never want to leave when they visit

Everything you said is 💯. When I visited Kenya with my students, one of the first things we noticed was how clean the streets are. My goodness! Nairobi is so beautiful. The people are polite and customer service is great. I also love how much they have invested in the tourism sector. I really hope to visit again one day.

As a Kenyan living in Cameroon I find it hard to be here… such a different lifestyle here. Very different climate conditions to Kenya you buy anything be it in the supermarket or road side no change. Today I was arrested because I drove while the light was green no one obeys traffic rules. Stress starts at the airport all counters are empty. Hawa wakonyuma sana

Personally being a Kenyan. I avoid Nairobi town. Because it’s hectic. Even using public transport is not easy. I would prefer to have zoom meetings with someone in Nairobi town.
Going cashless has nothing to do with corruption, mpesa is just convenient and safe, you can move around with half a million comfortably on your phone, and also you can deposit and withdraw money from you bank account to your mpesa. pay your bills without worrying about the bank closing.
Since COVID I have touched cash money less than ten times. I nearly forgot the colors of our money 😅😅. I saw a two hundred bill last week and I nearly didn't recognize it was the two hundred note.

I used to have Cameroonian friends and there was a dish they made with a bright yellow sauce. It was so good but I can’t remember what it was called. Good people. Like a softer version of Nigerians.

I always enjoy my annual vacs in Kenya especially Masai Mara. It always wonderful time over there. I have not visited many other African countries, but nothing compares to Kenya❤. 🇺🇸
The best dishes I’ve had are from Cameroon. I’ve also had the best friends but I’ve never been to Cameroon. I’ll be in Yaoundé in the near future. Poisson braisé et poulet DG! So delicious. I don’t like Ndole so much but I think you are far better than us in cuisine
Kenya was the first country in the world with mobile money, M-pesa was studied in universities around the world so after a few decades we’ve gone cashless. Last time I saw cash was 2 years ago and that was for a day 😂

Mesa was an evolution for the unbanked for over 20 years.For years traditional banks needed minimum balances, verified income etc which left many people marginalized. Kenya is a pioneer in the digital money/wallet space!

We even have a holiday referred as Tree Planting Day when each citizen is expected to plant trees. Hence Nairobi being referred as Green City in the Park. Kenya was the first country in the world with mobile money, M-pesa was studied in universities around the world so after a few decades we’ve gone cashless. Last time I saw cash was 2 years ago and that was for a day 😂
