WHICH NC500 LOCATION ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO VISITING? Let me know! My NC500 Guide Book is available here: robbieroams.com/product/north-coast-500-guide-book-robbie-roams-nc500/
You should do the Islands off the west coast Robbie. Drive from Glasgow to Oban and then take the ferry over to Mull, Barr’s, the Uists, Lewis & Harris (make sure you spend a few days here), then back to Glasgow through Skye, Glencoe & Loch Lomond. Don’t Google it, just do it. The beaches and scenery in the Hebrides will blow your mind I promise
Currently doing the nc 500 rn after watching your videos on repeat a fuw months back ,am so glad I come across your channel, I went into coco mountin today and my head was like "that's where Rob sat"when walking past the bench 🙈 like you a big hero to me 😅
I’ve traveled the NC500 before on a motorcycle and plan on doing it again soon in my T6 camper with the aid of Robbie’s book, I’ve read it cover to cover and just can’t wait to take advantage of some great recommendations. This year we have a 10 day summer trip booked to Wales and we have again taken all the campsite recommendations from Robbie’s tour of Wales book, another gem of a read. So looking forward to it and safe in the knowledge that we travel the places Robbie can recommend.
Amazing we are taking our Van here in April and this video is AMAZING, your cinematography and colourgrading is BEAUTIFUL thank you for the help and inspo!
I’m doing this early may, 7 days as well as a trip to Orkney. I’ve got your book which is very useful. I’ve booked all the campsites like you recommended. Cheers
Read your book in prep for our Easter trip…unusual I know, but any chance you came across any nice garden centres, leisure centres/swimming pools or adventure parks. We’re going with 8yr old twins and these are good rainy day options.
Just received your book today, and it's made me start planning a route for early May. I'm going to do it Clockwise though which means I'm reading your book from the back to the front 😄👍
Looking forward to NC500 in my T6 which is being converted as I type. I have purchased your book and love the 12 day trip itinerary. I do find it mind boggling as I have watched so many videos. Thankfully we have seen some large motorhomes which has given my hubby some faith in driving the route in a smaller vehicle. The narrow single lane roads do seem daunting. As we will do a mixture of guest houses, hotels and campsites I was happy to see Sango Bay as that is on our list. Happy travelling.
Every one a must see right enough Robbie! I love waterfalls and despite my parents having lived in Golspie for a number of years, I'm embarrased to say I've never been to Big Burn so that's a defo for 2023! Great video and footage too! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Robbie! This is exactly what I was searching for. All, those locations are the vibe that I wanna see! Just have 1 question about the video. What are the 3 words that appear below the title of each location? Thanks!
It would take a vast imagination to compare Scotland to the Caribbean. However, i have done the 500 3 times and it has to be the most amazing of routes. The Caribbean cannot offer this scenery

You left out our favorite. The Duncansby Sea Stacks and Lighthouse, near John O'Groats. Incredible cliff views.
It is a great place 🏴

Great video! Makes me miss Scotland so much more.
Glad you enjoyed it!

In a T6 you’d be absolutely fine! I hope your have a wonderful time and thanks for getting a copy of my book that’s much appreciated 🙏

Thanks and keep up those incredible photos 🙏🏴
Wailing Widow - 50ft waterfall !! It's actually 30m - over 90ft.
Thanks 🙏

These are what3words locations - an app that will point you to a location within 3 square meters.
With parking always being an issue in a motorhome, can I ask what the parking is like at Castle sinclair and Torridon?
Absolutely fine 👍
I wasn’t expecting to hear that accent! Not sure why I thought the writer of the “ultimate NC500” guide book would be Scottish.
Haha I’ve spent a lot of time researching and exploring the NC500, back there again in 2 weeks 🙏
I have a touring caravan what route should I take
The main route is fine I would avoid the Drumbeg loop and Bealach Na Ba Pass 👍
It would take a vast imagination to compare Scotland to the Caribbean. However, i have done the 500 3 times and it has to be the most amazing of routes.
The Caribbean cannot offer this scenery
I totally agree 😀
Does your book talk about places to tent camp? Not wild camping. Like places with toilets and showers please.
Yes we include campsites across the route :)
