The market is great on a Friday and Saturday as it is full of local farmers with really fresh fruit and veg at good prices.

I eat the sardines bones and all. I was a seal in a past life or a Big Fish. Its Calcium and other great nutrients(OMega3 highest). Cheers.

The food is acquired taste if you're not used to some of their cousins, there's lots of places that serve banana with the fish.
The fish with banana is really served in many places. But I like it with shrimps)

Tipp. 1 niemals da essen wo die Touristen essen !! Immer in die Berge Restaurants suchen , da ist auch der Typische Fleischspieß (Espetata) doppelt so groß und billiger 2 . Im Atlantik Madeira gibt es keine Sardinen , die werden eingeflogen Tiefkühlware .

TOO MUCH BONES...simply You dont how eat FULL fish
Well, the sardines really have a lot of bones comparing to other fish. That’s the fact. It does not mean she does not know how to eat it😜
In fairness sardines have too many bones, that's why they should be eaten with the fingers.
I can eat 8 grilled sardines under a minute.
And before you ask, it was a silly bet I made (whom ate the most sardines had his meal payed by the others) 😁
Went to all the wrong places. Nothing traditional. Avoid!
