@@Hayk_empty_cloud camping without authorisation is forbidden in Madeira. You have to apply for a permit on the government website and choose a campsite to stay. I think in total they have 22 campsites.

Madeira has some cons and its not as perfect as everyone makes it out to be.
It’s beautiful, the people are mostly nice, crime happens (veeeery rarely, but you dont hear about it because its kept out of the news), but the worst thing about the island is the health services. It is absolutely terrible. Ive got close relatives who have spent 5 hours in the waiting room for a heart attack, one that had a forgotten surgical instrument left inside of her for a year and a half, one with a broken hip who spent a month in the hospital for a broken hip and no doctor ever actually came by to check on her (just nurses) and she ended up dying there with no doctor ever seeing her. A friend of mines dad had a heart attack and they sent him home. They only realized he had had a heart attack when he had to go back in because he felt bad.
I actually called an ambulance about a month ago and was told that there were no ambulances available, I had to drive the person in question (who was practically unconscious) to the private hospital. I got a call back from the emergency line operator 35 mins later (i was already at the Private Hospital) to see if i still needed the ambulance and when i asked if she had any available at the moment she said that still had none. A friend of mines mom had a stroke and was in the hospital room next to a patient who had died around midnight and at 8am the deceased lady was still in the bed because no-one had come to move the body, so he got his mother out and put her on the next plane back to the Netherlands.
The private clinics and hospitals are a bit more thorough, but they dont handle emergencies, so even if you have the absolute best insurance coverage, you end up in the same terrible hospital.
Ive got unbelievably stories like this to tell for hours.

Thank you for that, and so sorry to hear about your personal loss and my condolences are with you. I love the look of this beautiful little island, and as far as I can tell Madeira has some absolutely amazing woman. And I live in England, so we're making do here despite harsh conditions! I am all about nature walks, this place looks like heaven. Can't wait to visit in a while when this covid nonsense is over with, and it's safe to travel.

I'm a tax accountant, taxes in Portugal are generally not lower than other European countries. The Portuguese government has created some tax breaks to encourage people to move into the country and invest. VAT is lower in Madeira but that's it. They have to import almost everything hence, it makes things more expensive.
Weather - The weather is only that good in the south by the coast, anywhere else in Madeira, it can be cold as we have 4 seasons. There are 12 different micro climates all over the island.

Anna This person seems to be working for competition. In fact, it is not even clear if she could be more trusted as weather adviser rather than a tax adviser. More reliable information can be obtained from International Business Centre of Madeira.

I lived 20 years in Switzerland and the taxes were sure not low
I have a Swiss private pension and a German government pension and had to pay 12.000 in taxes a year
In Switzerland it always depends on where you live and in which Kanton you are registered as an inhabitant because moving there the first 3 months you nearly pay Quellen Steuer after the 3 months are up U go registered at the Einwohnermeldeamt dear oh dear not 2 weeks later the bill of paying your monthly taxes up to the 31.12 is tacked down and they make sure you pay!!!!
And if you cannot pay they offer you in portions to pay
And you can only leave but not pay they make u pay for the time you were there
And they check with your company to check how long U are to work
Please before u make a video and mention that Switzerland has low taxes do mention which Kanton
Because it is not every Kanton that has low taxes
As a foreigner you might be able to pay Quellen Steuer for up to 6 months after that it is normal taxes
By the way once a year there is BUNDESSTEUER GEMEINDESTEUER ABFALLSTEUER ETC!!!!!!🥵

"Madeira is known as a hiking paradise". Yes, but those trails are overcrowded with tourists which for a through hiker it is not a paradise anymore but a nightmare, especially when you have some portions of wider roads leading to the renowned levadas where tourist minibuses are bringing tourists up and down the road. Example: Levada das 25 Fontes.

I just met a Portuguese waitress at the cafe today, and I will be going back there to flirt like crazy in a few days! Lol, but in a subtle way of course! Portuguese woman seem like they have a lot going for them, which is nice for me because I live in England where the quality of the woman has hit the floor.
Or maybe it always was the floor I don't know I haven't lived anywhere else. But damn!! Some of these women would make you vomit. XDD

Glad you woke up early enough to start living a great life till you get really old...... Portuguese yes but Argentinians are very similar to Europeans but much more down to earth. Brazilian Nikkei girls are very nice too.
