Happy Friday! So todays video is about different books I have read, mainly my favorites! I know I did a video like this 2 years ago but I figured it was time for an update so here are some of my favorite books on my bookself! I could totally make a part two to this and I probably will (I have 2 bookselves you see :) ) I hope you enjoy this! Let me know what your favorite books are below!

I was given a brown scapular when I was on holidays in Malta. I was standing in front of a church waiting for my mum, and this lady gave it to me. I tied it around my wallet and very blessed that I have it.
Great you have one, ensure you get enrolled and say the prayer attached each day. Look it up for more info.
Father Isaac Mary Relyea also speaks very highly of St. Alphonsus Liguori. I highly, highly recommend listening to some of Fr. Relyea's sermons if you haven't already. Especially his sermons on the Four Last Things.

Great recommendations! I'm going to add some of these to my list. "Stories of the Saints" is amazing! "Saints around the World" is another great book on the Saints. Some of my other favorite Christian related books are "Till we have faces," "Secret of the Rosary," The Way of the Pilgrim," "An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine," and the "Glories of Mary."

Jesus of Nazareth by Pope Benedict XVI , perfecto 🙏 Also my favourite Pope not only because I met him, 😊 but he is amazing. One of the best theologians of all time! Obviously who doesn't love Pope Jonh Paul II and I expect more from Pope Francis. He will deliver 💕

Fantastic! I would check out "The Priest is Not His Own" by Archbishop Fulton Sheen since you like him already. Its an extremely intense but enlightening read. Just found your channel and its great to see a young faithful catholic. I'm stationed in Korea right now my faith is defiantly being tried and tested. We are few and far between here, but God is at work. I plan on using your content to show my friends who are interested in the faith. Keep up the great work, I'll be looking forward to your content to be a light in my days!

I absolutely love imitation of Christ! It's a very profoundly and well written book 📖 I know it's the workings of The Holy Spirit that clearly spoke through these great authors.... I will definitely be looking forward to buying and reading the books you recommended... I recommend Reading The Cure of Ars ' it's the True Story of Saint John Vianney ... the book is very overwhelming because it talks about His Personal struggle with the Town of Ars' but also very encouraging for anyone who feels that they are not called by God ... another great video!

Hello Amber. Great channel. I found it last night and have watched many videos already and subscribed which I rarely do, which says a lot about how much I think of what you're doing. My two favorite books are The Secret Of The Rosary by St. Louis de Montfort and The Glories Of Mary by St. Alphonsus Liguori. I would trade all my books for these two. You and I have much in common including appreciation for the Latin Mass and I just wanted to make your acquaintance. You have one of the best channels due to the way you present info. and I just wanted to say that.

- The Face of God (Essays on Byzantine Spirituality) - Archbishop Joseph M. Raya.
Good introduction to Byzantine Catholicism
- The way of the Pilgrim
A taste of Byzantine spirituality.
- Sword and Serpent Trilogy - Taylor Marshall
Good historical fiction book series that focuses on St. George.
-Dignity and Duties of the Priest - St. Alphonsus Liguori
Pretty intense, and scary but love it since I am a seminarian discerning the priesthood.
- On the Incarnation - St. Athanasius
Beautiful patristic writing on the Incarnation. Good start to begin reading the early church fathers.

_The Way of the Pilgrim_ is an Orthodox book, not Catholic.
Great recommendations especially loved your comments on Carrie Guess’s Anti-Mary and Saint Therese Story of a Soul. I would recommend Fr Chris Alar’s Understanding Divine Mercy.
A great series is Dom Gueranger's Liturgical Year. Remarkable guide to finding God in the Liturgy, and vade mecum for those who are rediscovering the Latin Mass.

@@BiblicalBookworm You're going to learn plenty, I promise. Another book for your list is The Mass, by Fr Adrian Fortescue. With considerable precautions, you might some day look at Fr J Jungmann's The Mass of the Roman Rite. It is the most thorough history of the Mass, and even Pius XII is said to have studied it. But there is a tragic element to this book, as it was used to justify the movement to reform the Mass in a way that proved to be disastrous.
Good to see you recommending C.S. (Jack) Lewis's book and anything else by Jack I would highly recommend. Also his Chronicles of Narnia for children and his Space Trilogy for Teenagers and Adults is great fiction. His non-fiction series ; Mere Christianity highly recommended for everyday Christians.

Im reading "The Love that Satisfies" by Christopher West. There is a lot of Theology of the Body in it but its really beautiful.

I just got the following recently:
- ESV Catholic Edition Bible
- Catechism of the Catholic Church
- Teachings of the Church Fathers (Ignatius Press)
- Paul: A Biography by N.T. Wright (I find Saint Paul very inspiring and his change of heart from persecutor to evangelist is a great example and nourishing to faith).
Most I got from Cenacle which is a catholic online book store in the UK (they also have rosaries and other items).

"See How She Loves Us" by Joan Carroll Cruz is amazing. It's a history of Marian apparitions
This is turning into one of my favorite Catholic channels...
Hi! For people who are interested in science fiction, I highly recommend "A Canticle for Leibowitz" by Walter M. Miller Jr. This is probably the only Sci-Fi book I have read that is fundamentally Catholic. And it's really interesting and good. In fact, I was even surprised that there are such books at all 😁 in "Hyperion" by Dan Simmons one of the storylines is also kinda Catholic and quite well written.
Love the imitation of Mary as well. My cover isn't as beautiful as yours but still blue hard cover and beautiful. Love St Alphonses also! So wonderful!! And St Therese I love ever so much! I am a third order Carmelite and the Little way is a constant goal for my way of life in other words her example is a constant reminder and encouragement on living the Imitation of Jesus and Mary! Amen Alleluia

Good list. As someone who likes reading books and was recently baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith it's good to find non-philosophical (but still theological) books on Catholicism.
In my videos I spend a lot of time on philosophy and not enough on spiritual matters. Perhaps I need to change that and this inspired me to do that :D
Philosophy rightly understood is the pursuit of wisdom, and implicitly a search for God. You're correct however in believe that you'll make more progress in wisdom but concentrating more on spiritual things. The John Haffert book is phenomenal.
The John Haffert book about the Scapular is exceptional; too bad it seems to have been forgotten.
Everyone should read the Little House books!
Thank you for the recommendations. I would like to read How to Converse with God. You might like Go Bravely by Emily Wilson Hussem and The Catholic Hipster which has PJP II on the cover. I've not read either of them but they both sound good...

Walter Hooper (the literary executor of the estate of C.S. Lewis) also was of the opinion that C.S. Lewis would have converted if he had lived today....
My favorite book of all time (after obvious exceptions like the Bible) would be "Orthodoxy" by G.K. Chesterton (really anything by Chesterton). I also love "Life of Christ' by Fulton Sheen.
Another good apologetics book would be "A Daily Defense' by Jimmy Akin.

Now I’m reading “What is wrong with the world” by G. K. Chesterton. If you don’t know him yet, please read something by him. It is amazing in every way. There is a serie of books on Father Brown that are very worthwhile.

I recently read a book called ‘The Gurus, The Young Man and Elder Paisios’ and it is maybe the best book I’ve ever read. I 1000% recommend, it is an orthodox book but that doesn’t matter. It’s the conversion story of a man and he can’t decide between Christianity and Hinduism and it’s so insane
Also ‘race with the devil’ and ‘letters to myself from the end of the world’ r great books too:)

My favorite book is the GREATEST SALESMAN IN THE WORLD by OG MANDINO , it is a great book you will be amazed Jesus is in the story pls read it. And the Devotion to the souls in purgatory Maria Simma
