    I’m 13 years old and I’ve been reading Story of a Soul by St. Therese for a year now. I’m going through a dry season of prayer due to my own laziness and also because I’ve been reciting the same prayers for a while. I totallyyyyyyyy recomend St Therese to EVERYONE. She’s so good! I also suggest you guys pray a novena to Therese asking for a rose because it always works! God bless 💖🥺✝️

    As a non-Catholic, I found quite compelling was "Why to be Catholic" by Trent Horn and "Pope Peter" by Joe Heschmeyer, which in my helped dispel misconceptions of the Pope. I am currently reading Jimmy Akin's "The Fathers Know Best: Your Essential Guide to the Teachings of the Early Church," which I've only read a quarter but it is very informative.

    I have a recurring sin that I always turn to when I feel like I am loosing control over my life and the things around me. There are many times, including now, that I feel like I just don't want to talk to God. I try hard to fight it. In fact, I watched one of your videos where you said you like to pray a St. Michael prayer and three Hail Mary's in the morning and at night. I started doing this and I see myself coming up for air a bit. I am loving your content and videos (hence the commenting on almost all of your videos already). Coming from TikTok lol.

    I am starting RCIA soon, how should I go about it? I need tips/advice please. I’m coming from the Baptist/Non-Denominational Protestant area. Thanks in advance, so glad to be joining the one true church.💕

      Thats amazing! Welcome home :) I would suggest asking your local Catholic church how theyre doing RCIA this year (bc of COVID) usually you get welcomed in on Easter but every parish does it differently. I would however highly suggest getting the catechism and reading that to get a heads tart (its also free online), and really dive into that :)

    When I start to get burned out I usually just listen to Protestants online try to bash the faith. Especially Seventh Day Adventist. Nothing like engaging in a debate to liven things up. Also gives me motivation to study more church history and sharpen my critical thinking skills.

    Great video. We are called to follow His will. That's the hardest thing to discern. I've been a Catechist for four years now. I've taken the required Catechetical classes and for two years, along with my wife, we are studying for our Certificates in Catholic Theology. All this, with more prayer and 31 years of marriage. There are many days I feel and know I'm as dumb as a rock. I learned that each day there's so much I will never get to know let alone understand. God Bless you!

    What caused my Catholic burnout was when I got super busy with school, so I didn’t read my Bible/pray as much. I was also in a state of mortal sin and I didn’t ask for forgiveness because I didn’t feel like I “deserved” to be forgiven. I got out of it by having hundreds of people pray for me!

    I have been in a lot of burnouts and I just realize the reason thanks to your video! I usaully just tell myself: "Jennifer, I know you don't want to pray or do stuff but you have to do it, if not, you'll be doing what the devil wants you to do and you can't let that happen". But now I know how to do it better! Maybe thats why I get down so easily hahaha. Thanks so much for the video, God bless!

    I read or listen to TH-cam videos about apparitions, Eucharistic miracles, the miraculous staircase, images, etc...
    I truly believe Jesus gives us these things to help strengthen us...He knows that we are weak!

    the cause for me is TIKTOK, i spend HOURS on it and tbh the content on it isn't good for my soul so i fall into the secular train of it and get the idea i can do prayer later, i end up putting it off instead of actually doing it and that lead me to my burn out. im actually considering deleting the app all together

    • @TheCatholicLady
      @TheCatholicLady 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a bad idea .... I'm not familiar with how that particular app works but most you can set a reminder if you go over a certain amount in a day. Also have you tried setting timers in your day for prayer? I use the Alexa and a housekeeping app to remind me at intervals throughout the day it helps tremendously for me.
      Also having someone hold you accountable helps too. My husband and I have been doing a litany together every day when he gets home from work - we won't eat or get settled for the night until that is done. We do some of our daily prayers separately but 2 people trying to remember evening prayer instead of 1 we find we're more apt to remember.

    You’re correct about the circulation by the way, it’s just a biological difference of females compared to males. The circulation of blood within males is even throughout, so temperatures are a typical even throughout. The circulation of blood within females is centered on the uterus, this is the mammalian version of a Hen who hovers over her eggs, the purpose is to maintain warmth around the baby. So as a consequence, not as much blood is distributed to the hands and feet, thus women tend to feel those areas colder.

    Whenever I have a burnout, I always feel like I'm doing something wrong and it's my fault I don't feel God. I'm left empty and I feel really guilty because I can see people really understanding Mass and when my burnout happens, my understanding of sacraments and praying just dissapears so I get confused, I feel like I am not worthy to take the Eucharist or go to confession. I dont even get out of it, I have no strength to do that, but Jesus gets me out of it when I least expect. When that happens I get really emotional and I really try to get close to people. The people from my parish are probably very confused by me 😂 because during a burnout I usually distance myself, which I know is not good, but sometimes I have no strength to talk to anyone. So Im kind of a mess😅

    Confession is NOT the place to ask for general advice about your life. It is strictly a place to confess your sins. The priest may offer advice based on your sins but general spiritual guidance should be solicited by other means. You can make an appointment with your priest and ask for advice there if you want.
