Young lady, I am so proud of you. I am 58 and wasted so many many years away from my faith. It is only in the last few years that I have begun to claim back my faith. Through the Rosary and frequenting the sacraments being pleasing to God become important in my life again. There is indeed joy and peace in trying ones best live as Christ intended us to. Temptations can be a daily struggle sometimes. But through God's grace nothing is impossible. I have learned much from you. Thank you so much.

1 particular sin that I have to warn those who are starting to return to Christ, are sexual sins, ESPECIALLY the sin of fornication.
Just don't. It absolutely demolishes the foundations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Everything that the Spirit gives, fornication turns it into the total opposite.
    Just stay away from it...

I've never actually "left" the church, but after my grandmother passed away it was really hard for me. She was my church buddy, and it was hard to go without her. I wouldn't go to church if my mom didn't go. Now that I'm going to be a mother I want to be a better role model! I finally have my first adoration hour, and I've downloaded catholic prayer apps and went back to being a "handmaid of Mary" that I started in my catholic high school. I'm still working on it, but its a start!

I am what you probably call a Cradle Catholic, but I used to be super leftist during my University Years until like 2019. I also struggled with homosexual desires, obesity and a massive identity crisis, which I still struggle with until today. In 2020 (right before the world changed and the fire nation attacked) I visited a Rosary Prayer in Munich, Germany and received the Holy Communion in the old rite and it was a revelation. Since then I try to reconnect to my Catholic Faith, but it's so hard, because of how society treats us. I haven't been to Mass since the pandemic began and I feel so disconnected to God. But your Videos help me so much. So thank you so much for your Videos! You are such a light to this world!

The desire to be an influencer or opinion maker has become the modern form of idolatry as so many devote to much time to this effort. Bravo to you speaking out the truth for young Catholics!

Modest dress is something that gets overlooked in our generation - especially with women but men as well. When I was 20, I had a crisis of faith, and was inexplicably drawn to a Hasidic Jewish synagogue; talk about modest dress! My time with them made me realize that being modest _and polite_ in the presence of God and in daily life is so important. This also reminds me of your "5 Pet Peeves" video (just watched it 👍) about being _respectful_ in Church! ✝

Your story reminds me of mine. I left the practice of the faith in my teen years. I was into heavy metal, like Guns N Roses and Metallica. I swore a lot like the friends I hung around with, watched bad movies and tv shows that I would never watch now. I was also in a relationship with someone who didn’t practice the faith, but then ended. I came back to the faith at 20, saw problems with the Novus Ordo and fell in love with the TLM and getting dressed up on Sundays, as well as became devouted to St. Philomena and Our Lady of Sorrows and would read the Imitation of Christ. You remind me of me a few miles back down the road.
Your making great progress and I admire your courage and strength to do what you do. I try to remember to pray for you in my Rosary every day and occasional holy hour.
As time goes on, and as you do more research on the crisis in the church you will see it goes deeper than it first appears. Including the Novus Ordo. It’s not like the joyful and glorious mysteries or different flavours of ice cream. Even in the original Latin and ad orientem. The first time the Novus Ordo was said in Latin ad orientem in the Cistine Chapel the majority of the bishops disliked it and half the bishops present walked out in protest.
Michael Voris made a pretty good documentary on it about 10 years ago. It was clearly planned to undermine people’s faith.
Here is a 15 minute clip about it. th-cam.com/video/S_vwwajyASI/w-d-xo.html
Also Annibale Bugninni who made the new mass was in fact a Freemason. His name is on the Italian Register of Freemasonary. It showed his initiation date was April 23, 1963. His Masonic number was 1365-75. He made the Novus Ordo with the help of 6 Protestants ministers. They took out the same 12 prayers Martin Luther took out.
Unfortunately, Michael Voris changed his tune when he rang out of money a few years back and a new Fssp benefactor stepped in and told him to change somethings.

If you ever stop by the DFW area in Texas, my parish St. Mary the Virgin has a beautiful Mass celebration of Novus Ordo. I actually have a mederate discomfort of the Latin Mass because the one I've gone to, don't know if this is for all of them, the prayers are said so quietly and I can never follow along with where we are. But our parish has a lovely blend of Latin Gregorian Chant and English.

Art is the nutrition for the soul and mind.
I think that dark shows are not bad the thing that matters are the scrpit quality and which values and mesages promotes the show.
So if the values and mesages are good and inspirational or useful does not matter if it is dark the important IS to not be edgy.

Physical modesty can be a powerful teaching on spiritual modesty as I have found...I wear dresses, jumpers and skirts with tops that have sleeves down to the elbow...I've answered many questions as to modesty simply by being asked why I wear what I do, and my answer is that I have been convicted about being a woman and not a man...maybe pants on women had a very nasty impact on people's sexuality?! There's something to be said for keeping your body shape hidden from all onlookers!

Like I had to change my friend group to those who actually respect my beliefs and morals as a Catholic and got out of the “popular crowd” at school because they weren’t good influences. You should do a video on music genres/bands you regret listening to as a Catholic.
Because I honestly regret listening to Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and the rap that was constantly fed to me during high school at school dances and pep rallies. And also I refrain listening to modern music because they tend to involve very inappropriate subjects, they objectify women, and curse way too much. But I have some friends who like the listen to edm, and that seems to be pretty conservative for modern music. So I tend to listen to music from the 20th century or earlier since they tend to be more conservative. I mean I still like rock music and all but not hard rock or metal but rather conservative rock like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, (sometimes the Police), The Beach Boys, Toto, Creedence Clearwater Revival. And I’ve fallen in love with jazz/big band and music from the 40s, 50s, and 80s as well as pop music from the 70s and disco.

    • @franceskaufmann993
      @franceskaufmann993 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Oh and John Denver and Johnny Cash are pretty good too. Also I learned that people respect you more, especially adults and fellow Christians (no matter what denomination) when you feed yourself conservative music and television. So I totally agree with you that what you’re listening or watching does have an effect on your relationship with God and that it could either bring you closer to Christ or draw you away from Him. And part of my testimony was changing what I listened to and watched and I’ve gotten closer to God since then.

Not to sound weird but I always liked in ur videos how u dress, didn’t really think of the modesty aspect, I just thought it was nice. And us guys need to change also; in my school some of my friends talk really, well, vulgar about some girls based on how they dress, they’re not putting them down or anything they just talk very sexually about them. It’s the wrong type of attention I guess, and definitely would be v disrespectful if they heard it! I always just laughed it off thinking I was the odd one out for feeling a bit awkward listening to it but like you said in one of your other videos, even tho you think stuff is normal, it’s really not.

4:56 sounds so much like me. When I was preparing to and on the brink of deciding to return to the official Catholic Church in June through early July, I was quite on edge and having anxiety. I worried about how my wife, my in-laws, some other family and friends would react and would regard me; or if I'd even end up divorced, and with others rejecting me. As they are more Mainline Protestant and "progressive", would I be labelled as a bigot, homophobe, misogynist, regressive, or worse? So far, that hasnt really happened, and the divorce potential definitely not.
However, I have dealt with some trolls on youtube comment sections, by people who think they are "bible based", "bible believing", being "true Christians", and ridiculing or condemning us for supposed "worshipping Mary", "making and bowing down to idols", "adding to the word of God", "the dead can't hear your prayers; you are trying to make them like God", and all this other stupid stuff. I'm truly sorry you have had to deal with such jerkfaces. I have "reconverted" for the third and hopefully a permanent and final time. I still have a small handful of doubts or wrestlings, but i accept and believe in the overwhelming majority of what is taught and practiced.

The thing I used to do before I returned to the Catholic Church this watching horror moves And I know that's not the right thing to do . And that's one thing I need to tell the priest I told you forget about it when I was in confession 3 different times I had a lot of stuff to remember I haven't been to profession 6 to 7 years . And the Lord is continued Reminded me things that I did that I shouldn't have done and I forgotten about. Do you have the thing I used to do Before I got married I used to drink on Friday nights From send up to sundown We forced to take care of bodies not abuse it . I started having health issues because of that A liver My doctor said I need to quit and he said do not drink for a month And it should be better. After a month I stopped drinking My it was better. I went right back again to drink Then I realized that was wrong So 2005 I quit drinking altogether started going to AA. So I quit drinking One move Before meeting my wife and we got married 2006 and she's Catholic . I left the church for a while That was a big mistake So in January of this year 2023 Went back to the church did my confessions Going to mass Taken the holy communion . And I was baptized in the Catholic Church 1978 I was 21 years old at that time I was impressed by a marriage I was invited to My class mate from high school invited me Put my class on me Always would tell me you need to come to church . And I'm grateful that I came back I've been doing the rosary Apostle creed . And I thank God that he brought me back Father Mike on TH-cam on the different topics help me to get back.

I'm very careful now since I'm a returning Catholic . I make sure the movies I watch has no cuss words in it That is proper to watch . In the way I look at it If Jesus was sitting on the couch with me would he approve of what I'm watching.

Perhaps when you critique a church regarding reverence or lack of reverence without mentioning whether the Church has Latin mass or Novus Ordo.

aren't there cuss words in the Bible too? St. Paul says the s word when referring to his previous works.

Cuss words are strong words that make people uncomfortable or hurt people, including racial slurs and insults. The 's' word or sex is ok when using it in a clinical or when dispensing knowledge

Its funny i prefer the new mass to the old style one but then again thats because im quite modern and liberal leaning in my tastes and the latin mass had almost disappeared from use before i was even born. Also i am catholic but i am not DEEPLY religious like some people on here will be. I find deeply religious people sometimes a bit off putting. I used to be really into catholicism in my 20s but have eased off a bit as ive got older. Sorry just my thoughts.
But an interesting video nonetheless and clearly your faith means a lot to you. 😊

The preacher was reading the Bible, and then he said, "I'd like to read from the Book of Talysn." Then, the organist started playing Hush by Deep Purple.

It is not about hating or liking TLM or NO just go to the Mass in your parish boarders. Straddling borders to get to TLM is wrong. There's a reason for parishes so that you can contribute to your local area and be fruitful.
