I can relate. I also run a Catholic TikTok page and I’m on the border of getting banned for the most ridiculous things. It’s ridiculous how much flack you get just for being Catholic, not just online but even in day to day interactions. I also agree with you that often times we do spend too much time on social media and need to focus on God more. I’ve found it far more fruitful evangelizing people irl than online!
Hey Amber, this reminded me a bit of Tolkein's work in Tree and Leaf. The main character lost everything from his art masterpiece but God was still able to use the relationships with people like the gardener that were made along the journey to create something even more stunning than the artwork!! I pray that God will use this for something greater and the relationships that you formed through your TikTok account can blossom into something bigger too!

I used to spend an hour + a day on tiktok and I believe it was truly damaging to my soul. I got so many negative videos on my for you page. I gave it up completely and now I am so much happier. ❤️
Watching your experience makes me glad I never made content for that toxic app. Like you, my experience as a Catholic content creator has been positive on TH-cam. Though I'm not as brave as you are in some of the things I've said, and you're definitely an inspiration for the rest of us. Ironically though I think TikTok is why youtube has become better for Catholics and conservatives. They provide competition for youtube which forces it to value any content creator able to draw an audience and keep people on their platform. the TH-cam called "Moon" even made a video explaining that TikTok spreads toxicity on purpose as a means to weaken the west. Considering the country of origin of TikTok, and the rising geopolitical tensions and the grand international chess game we're witnessing, that makes sense. And their treatment of you proves that in my opinion. No wonder India banned the app entirely. Anyway, I've been meaning to comment here for a while to tell you that you have indeed been inspirational, and inspired me to be better as a youtube content creator. Despite my faith, I'm not that good of an example as I should be or as you are. I swear like a sailor sometimes, and sometimes my thinking is too secular. As a 26 year old I am glad I never got into that. I don't have any social media. I sae what was happening to everyone when it first came out and I was like NOPE! It is like mind control. When I was working with a lot of high schoolers 2 years ago they could even stop for a shift. Every 2 seconds they were doing thos weird dancing and stuff. I am glad you are off of it, even if it wasn't your choice.

I think it's for the best even though it's a painful thing to let go of. I once signed up for tik tok and got a bit of culture shock and thought, "man, I'm too old for this stuff" and I deleted my account immediately. I always thought tik tok was full of nudity and immodest videos and sometimes I feel that's what the app stands for.. ungodly and worldly values... Really isn't worth it and I'm glad you're on TH-cam now. Will subscribe and support you!! ❤️
They got me last night too. Facebook shadow banned me as well. The guys at EWTN are aware. A few years ago Facebook took a bunch of Catholic pages. They took my biggest Catholic page and deleted it. Had to start over now I’m locked out of new one

I gave up all media, except for Instagram. The only reason I have Instagram is to keep family posted on my kids/family. Best thing was giving up all media, my life has been blessed beyond measure. Human beings have always wanted and tried to save themselves from their own sins and earn their own eternal salvation. It is part of our sinful nature to do so. I gave up all media, except for Instagram. The only reason I have Instagram is to keep family posted on my kids/family. Best thing was giving up all media, my life has been blessed beyond measure. I'm not focused on checking my phone all the time, and spending more time with my family, and church. Godbless enjoy following you.

Human beings have always wanted and tried to save themselves from their own sins and earn their own eternal salvation. It is part of our sinful nature to do so. But there is no amount of human good works that could ever satisfy the demands of perfect holiness before YHWH because we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). But Jesus, The Christ, was SINLESS and He satisfied all the demands of perfect righteousness. So He shed His own blood and died for our sins in order to redeem us. Then He rose from the dead and victoriously offered that glorious gift of eternal life to anyone and everyone who believes in Him and His promise to give us this gift. Hallelujah, What a Savior!! AND NOW we are FREE in Christ - at LIBERTY to LOVE OTHERS!

The RCC's view of the church is completely at odds with the NT. It is the Scripture, and it alone, that is the guide for all Christians. The church on earth must submit to the Scriptures.
In addition , the idea that the RCC is the church that Christ setup, and that all believers must submit to it, is also rejected in the Scriptures in the strongest possible manner.
The RCC bears no resemblance to the church which is portrayed in the NT. Their view is only obtainable if one approaches the Scriptures with such rigid theological misconceptions that they must “mis-interpret” these verses to conform it to their own theological system.
Sir, If you are absolutely commit yourself to the LITERAL, GRAMMATICAL, HISTORICAL HERMENEUTIC you will be able to understand the "Full Counsel of God" and come to the conclusion the church is not the RCC.
KEY POINT: Literal, grammatical, historical hermeneutic is the same approach used in ordinary communication. In fact American jurisprudence rests upon this interpretive approach.
The dictionary defines literal interpretation that is "based on the actual words in their ordinary meaning...not beyond the facts.
In addition, it should be noted in passing that literal interpretation has been unfairly criticised on the basis that it adheres to a wooden, inflexible literalism that fails to allow for types, symbols, figures of speech and genre distinctions. Literalism does not preclude or exclude correct understanding of types, illustrations, apocalypses, and other genres within the basic framework of literal interpretation.
It is not too difficult to account for the widespread approval of the spiritualizing or allegorizing method adopted by many conservative theologians as well as liberal and ROMAN CATHOLIC expositors. Fundamentally its charm lies in its flexibility. The interpreter can change the literal and grammatical sense of Scripture to make it coincide with it own system of interpretation.

Requires I abandon a Standard, consistent historical grammatical hermeneutics and adopt a Christo-typological interpretation of the Bible.
I have to overlook the profound impact Greek Philosophy and allegory had upon Augustine's views of the Bible.
I have to ignore the historical reality that premillenism was believed by and taught by the early church up and until Augustine made it unpopular with the publication of his "City of God.
Requires that I ignore all grammatical indicators that clearly distinguish between the Jewish people and the nation of Israel and the NT church.
I have to believe promises made directly to Jewish Israel of a future salvation and restoration is fulfilled entirely in the NT church.
The NT church is the same as the OT "Israel".
I have to understand Revelation 20 to be a recapitulation that takes me back to to the beginning of the church age rather than than following naturally and chronologically from the events in Revelation 19.

Sorry about your Tik Tok experience. I had found you on You Tube as a suggested video. And, I’ve liked a tik tok I saw you in, but never knew you regularly posted there. I appreciate your understanding of God’s will and direction, it certainly makes life easier when we look to God and accept his will because it is never wrong, but sometimes hard to deal with.
