Finally the 2019 range have arrived in the UK and first on the list is the Road Glide Special. I didn't get a chance to ride the previous years model so I was keen to understand how it performed with the new 114 engine and infotainment system.

I literally just purchased a 2019 Road Glide Special, upgrading from an Iron 883 Sportster.
This video was part of my research and affirmed ALL my expectations.

Just purchased my 2019 today, Wicked Red Denim. Scored a good deal because it was “used.” 800 miles. Upgrading from a 2017 Night Rod.
Yep your review was the main reason I just bought a 19 in vivid black. Already did stage one and stage 2 is in the works. Great job. Great test ride. Absolutely LOVE this bike.

love my '18 FLTRX. the M8 is a superb powerplant! cruisin' the highway @ 85 mph in 6th gear @ 3250 rpm and the roll-on throttle is amazing.

Got one in vivid black. Best damn bike I’ve ever owned. Leaves me wanting nothing, but because I can, I did the stage 2 torque ... solo seat, 12 inch factory 47 sig bars, full sac headers with tab performance slip ons. It’s an absolute BEAST.

Great video as usual. I’ve got a 2018 CVO RG and they do handle beautifully. The improved infotainment system looks awesome and much better than the one on mine that I can’t get on with at all!

My first Harley was a RoadGlide. “Upgraded” to a Ultra Limited and missed it ever since. Nothing looks or handles as well as a RoadGlide and this new Wicked Red Denim is a great color. Thanks for sharing and ride safe.

Just traded my FXBB in on one of these. My big worry is that I won't be able to ride as hard as I did on my last one, but we'll see. I'll definitely be more comfortable! Great video man.

I've always been a street glide guy and thats what I currently ride. I always thought the Road glide was hideous looking and they never interested me one bit. Then I was talked into test riding one and man what a difference! I am so impressed by it that my next bike will be a Road Glide probably next year I will be ready to make the change!

Thanks for the vid, great as always. I’m really torn between a Street Glide, Road Glide or Heritage. For British roads I think the Heritage is the best bet due to the more nimble chassis but I love the touring models and think the shark nose is pure class. Which would you take?

Road Glide without doubt. Totally Americana.
I opted for the Road Glide for a few reasons; fixed fairing, storage in the fairing and the day maker headlights come standard - the Street Glide does not.
That Volvo Brick though!

Is it a noticeable difference between the 107 and the 114 ? What’s your opinion?
Bought the 2016 RGS cos i don`t like the M 8 engine plus the clutch is well shite on them, in stop and go you get arm pump ,and i ride a lot...
Oh and i changed MY suspension to Wilbers ,cos HD is not good too soft front to hard at the rear,the M8 is a little better at the front but at the rear it,s also too hard.
Any wind noise or buffeting at high speeds?
Road glide or Street glide for town stop & go traffic Handling?

Nice bike but I'd go for the Heritage classic. For the money electronic suspension adjustment would be nice, may soak up those bumps better. £500 more than 2018, has the Donald tax been added to all the Harleys?

Ken Paine, thanks for mentioning this; I just got my 2019 RGS, and I want to take it to the Tail. I was hoping to hear from someone who's already had one down there.
You really do need to see these in person. Videos are great but doesn't do justice. I was at my local dealer last week contemplating the road glide special and the road glide ultra. The special was about $1500 more than the ultra. The special gives you the great color options and the 114, where the ultra gives you more storage. The road glide is very popular in the states. Comes down to preference and riding style. This dealer also sells Honda and Yamaha. I was able to compare the road glide with the gold wing and eluder. It actually made it a harder decision seeing how they're all about the price. I haven't yet decided, but it sure is fun.

Keep it up mate I want one of those Road glides but not sure the performance is quite there compared to Triumphs Rocket three.

That looks so awkward driving on the opposite side of the road of which I'm actually used to driving on the other side. The only difference is a motorcycle doesn't have right or left hand drive so it's the same anywhere in the world but man driving on the other side of the road vs what I'm used to looks extremely weird. Nice bike though.
Has anyone had any issues with the m8 yet?

Looks like way too many distractions with all the gadgets and screen functions. I'd rather ride then fuss with that screen. No thanks, I'll stick to my 114 Road King and see the road. If I need a screen, radio and huge dash, I'll just drive a car
