  • Customized 2019 Road Glide Special from Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson. This bike has a lot of parts that suggest hints of performance bagger without going "All -In." Get a detailed look at the parts which include Kraus 10in pull back Risers that deliver the T-Bar look on a bagger. Big Bear Performance carbon fiber front fender, S&S intake and sidewinder exhaust etc.

No doubt, the best looking, best sounding Road Glide I’ve seen, running the Mil-8. IMO, gotta do full pipe, get rid of the stock stuff. I’m not too concerned with losing a warranty, I’ve never needed one thus far. And those bars & risers are epic!

Great video! I love your attitude about “if you don’t like a performance bagger, than don’t ride one.” It’s soo true. So many opinions out there. Who cares. If you are enjoying yourself, that’s all that matters. Life is short! Live it up! Love what you ride! And love who you are, because when it’s your time to go, no one is going to say, “That person didn’t ride a true bagger.” Ride like the wind! 👍👍👍👍

When I go to a bike dealership the sales persons stick to me like flies on shit. When ever I go to the Oakland Harley Davidson they are chill, knowledgeable and give you space. I'm not a fan of HD but I'm in love with the Road Glide.... Rented a Road Glide ultra once to see if it's something I would enjoy or get bored of. Put in over a thousand miles all the way from SF to LA and back through the coast and it was an amazing comfy ride and has all the power.

I’ve always used S&S on my bikes for genuine performance upgrades. I’ve a S&S stage 1 on my 2017 Dyna Fatbob & love the deep sound it produces. That Carbon fibre airfilter cover looks cool!!
You have created the perfect pure black Slealth Bike here!! It’s a carefully chosen selection of parts plus powder-coating so that everything matches. A huge attention to detail has gone into this which is a credit to your dealership. It’s outstanding!

I appreciate your honesty Matt. Occasionally I look at bikes either on CycleTrader or a dealer’s website. If prices are absent, the seller is summarily disregarded as untrustworthy. ‘Request price’ doesn’t cut it anymore.

    Great Vid Matt,
I share your opinion about performance baggers. They are the solution for guys like us (I am 6‘ 7‘‘ with around 230 pounds weight). I currently drive a 2018 Road King Police with a Stage III Kit and Screaming Eagle mufflers. This is by far the best performing Harley I‘ve ever driven, and it doesn’t matter if you driving the narrow canyon roads or the Autobahn. This bike is pure fun.
    Keep on Your great work
    Greetings from Hamburg, Germany

I always appreciate the videos you make.
If I could make one suggestion/request it would be for you to have someone film you as you do a drive by to demonstrate the exhaust tone/sound as you don't get a true sense of it while sitting over the bike while riding and recording.

Went to Laidlaw's to purchase a new bike. They where up front on their pricing. I still did my homework and did some shopping around. Its true what Matt said at the beginning of the video but I actually found the same bike at another dealer for a couple G's lower with no hidden fees as well. Contacted Laidlaw's and they could not price match yet alone beat it. None the less Laidlaw is a great dealership. But always do your research before buying a bike.

Yes the front fender does make this build pop... I've been around the aftermarket for 50 years and today's parts unless you're on to the model and if you're not being told you can't tell that it didn't come from the factory that way... It doesn't surprise me that this is where baggers are going today after King of the baggers competition I knew this would happen and so be it it's the best time to be alive to see these baggers come alive ...I hear more people talking baggers nowadays.. you're not only got great reliable performance you got the looks to go with.... I'm sure you've heard of unknown industries stunt riders they've been doing it for quite a while...
I caught one of their videos where they go into a Harley-Davidson dealer and buy four stock brand new Harleys and take off burning rubber and pulling wheelies on stock motorcycles that haven't been modified at all I thought that'd be kind of a kicker to show some people I just how tough these new Harleys are... So I used one of your comment sections on getting information for new bikes and posted the video on it posted in there if you want to take a look at it it's unknown one something like that title but it's the only one I sent might be kind of cool to have it playing in the showroom there somewhere cuz it's amazing those boys that they've got a lot of talent take just a stock new bike, stock gearing but still stock mufflers on and everything they were not very loud all you can hear is the tires squealing it's fun to watch check it out

Thanks for the vid, Matt. Yeah, as far as Performance Baggers I'm all for whatever gets someone stoked, even if that's bone-stock. Some of the haters out there hate from jealousy, or just flat-out impatience. They can't have that bike RIGHT NOW so they resent anyone who has that. Ain't no shame in saving money and upgrading when the time is right! Trends come and go, but if you treat her right, your bike will be with you for the long haul! Hell, you don't buy your girlfriend all the jewelry in the store on the first or second date. Except for maybe Julio, hahah. Kidding. Killer bike, man! Love the game-plan on this one, top to bottom. In agreement 100% on not paying crazy dealership markups averaging $3500. 3 of the 4 dealership in my area don’t list prices online or at dealership. I knew MSRP on my new 2021 road glide before going in and making offer. My Cash out the door offer was accepted. I believed one of the dealers would accept the offer. Being patient and willing to travel can result in a great buy.

I am not a bagger guy at all but I do own a 2018 Heritage 114. that is as close as I want to be to a bagger. just to clunky looking. if I was traveling a lot cross country I might. I don't need a lot to go places. that bike is sweet though. love what has been done to it and sounds terrific.

Beautiful RG. I am all about performance baggers. If I pull the trigger on a bagger it will be a RG or Indian Challenger

Great content. I’m not a fan of the “special” because there is no chrome but, that bike looked great. Sounds great. I’m betting it performs great as well. Thanks for the bump sticker warning too Matt. That’s good for any buyer to know.

Not the best for lane splitting but they are great bikes for southern CA freeways.
