    Nothing short of an amazing video! Great opening with the different camera angles and speeds. Most reviewers just talk about the great things, but you brought to light a number of items you didn't like as well, which is quite helpful.

    Well covered, I enjoyed your methodical review. You know you stuff and got right under the skin of this machine’s pros & cons. Frightened the crap out of me each time you let go of the handle bars.

    I chuckled a little bit at the fact you are just riding through the store casually lol. I really dig your in-depth reviews man. You earned a sub. I went to longhorn and got my 883 back in 2017. I’m going to try to get the new Electra glide standard next. Moving on up to the bagger world.

    Nice handling in shop that feather clutch turn arpund.bike and column. Nice bike. The positioning of the vet a was good I could get a deal formhow.large thenfaring is. I always thought it was dead weight on the bikes, I like the look though. In the past I've sat on a few and have a 2012 sportster. The bike is a damn tank. Snow, ice roads, heavy downpours, blistering heat. The only catch it has is freezing mornings. Can't skip a night on trickle charge or you get back till the bike warms. Ate these as reliable and.it almost seems like the frames are about equal. Yes larger everything else but the.bikes look same size.

    great video and liked the demo on the RDS. you touched on the chrome special but not in detail why you liked it. is the blacked out look kind of beat after so long? I got a '19 King and the brakes suck! thinking about trading it in for that '21 Glide

    • @thehdguy378
      @thehdguy378  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think black and chrome are both equally difficult to maintain. Black does fade on the heads. It’s inevitable if you ride long distances. I guess chrome actually has the advantage there. The downside to chrome is how often you’ll want to clean it. If you’re OCD the smudges will drive you crazy.

      @@thehdguy378 Recently sold my 2019 FLHT. Video on my channel if interested. I'm thinking chrome pkg with the red/black two tone and matching chopped tour pack. Snake Venom is different but it just don't pop for me. In fact most colors this year are boring. Charred Crimson (CVO Trike) should be a color choice across the board as well.

    RG all day, every day. I gotta wonder about that cable clutch being asked for by customers. Sounds more like a supply chain issue due to pandemic. I have a feeling that hydraulic clutch will return. It’s where we’re at in motorcycling. Especially on premium priced bikes. Going forward not backward.

    Awesome review, your camera angle made a huge difference from all of the other videos out there. Your knowledge is right on and I really appreciate that you don't seem to be trying to BS people. What kind of setup did you use for your video? I would really like to get me a setup like that for my rides, it would be 100% better than just attaching my GoPro to the bars and get super shaky video.

    • @thehdguy378
      @thehdguy378  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s all the gopro hero 9. It’s literally just attached to the bars or suction cupped to the windshield. Just great stabilization!

      @thespringer69 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thehdguy378 I did notice the suction cup on the windshield in the video right at 8:52. The bike leans but the shot stays level, are you saying that there was no gimble or anything else other than the GoPro software that made that awesome shot?

    Oh boy more gadgets!!! Best Harley I every had was a 71 I built. No nothin but bike. Now I've got a roadking and I hate the abs and linked breaks.i tried to buy a stripped down bbn bike but got this shit insted. This is why I'll never bond with this bike. My last bike was a Kawasaki and getting off it and going to the roadking... I feel like I made a mistake. Just because I've always been a Harley guy doesn't mean I cant grow as a person.

      @@thehdguy378 first only the left side of the front break engages when using only the back break and it's to grippy. It's not suppose to do it in low speed maneuvers however when I do a u turn in wet gravel or grass it sure as shit is engaged.. the other thing try doing a power slide????? I dont want the bike to ride me I want to ride the bike. Engineers dont ride the way I would if my hands weren't tried because of them. All this lean angle traction controll ...on a bike with a 32° lean angle you got to be kidding me. Riding a bike is supposed to be a little dangerous and fun not a sterile wet hand shake. In between my Harleys I've had a h2 r1 and I know that's not a nitch that a Harley is going to fill but it shouldn't dampen its ability. Regulation....

    • @thehdguy378
      @thehdguy378  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. I’ve said multiple times in my videos how I dislike the new traction control. It’s more a hindrance than an assist. On the Livewire though, it’s flawless. It definitely takes rider skill out of the equation. Same thing with ABS in some situations. Just not the situations that Harleys are designed for. Good points!

    Hopefully people watching this already know how to ride and don’t need a lesson on riding and especially don’t need to see you riding hands free.. that equals sudden death... does it block wind that fairing?

    • @thehdguy378
      @thehdguy378  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’re concerned with safety maybe stick to a cage. I do not recommend anyone try taking your hands off of the bars. If you do, you know the risks. If you’re nervous about me doing it, find another channel. Yes the fairing blocks wind like a champ. Admittedly the only bikes that are as effective at blocking wind are the Goldwing and the K1600. Haven’t ridden many other bikes that are as good at contouring wind around you. I definitely I rely recommend a test ride at your local dealer.

      My 2020 RGS did the same. It was a faulty abs module that wouldn't hold pressure when hold assist was activated. My dealer brought in a guy from Milwaukee HD HQ to diagnose and fix it.
      It should hold 4-5 minutes as long as it's in gear, clutch pulled in and you make no other inputs to controls.
