Switched from a 17 Fat Bob to a 16 Road Glide Special with stage 2 and never looked back. You can still keep up in the twistys all day. Don’t let the baggers fool you.
Yup! Road Glide is it. I Agree. Nice video. It's also a nice feature you didn't mention that the music fades to low volume when you slow down for a traffic light, so you don't have the music blasting at the light.
I went to the dealer today to test ride a Street Glide, and they offered me to ride the Road glide as well. Man what a difference. Ive always loved the look of the Street Glide but now I know the Road Glide is where its at. Smooth as hell, everything feels like butter. I just personally cant justify paying 25k for a bike.
Just curious if anyone has ever heard of someone climbing aboard a battle ship and saying, "Wow, I love what you've done with this place, that grey color scheme really pops".

6th bike, but 1st Harley & it's the 2019 Roadglide Special 114, wicked denim red and I LUV IT, LEMME SAY THAT AGAIN, I EFFEN LUV IT, IT'S A BEAST. Upgrades thus far: Kromeworks 4" slip ons, HD brushed black & alloy handgrips & matching highway pegs, 6" ape hangers, touring pack, atop the touring pak I have a Kuryakyn led brake light with integrated turn signals. I'll be adding an aftermarket seat, Sirius radio, & last but not least bumping it up to STAGE 2 before the years out, then I'm done & just looking to ride & get miles period.

That Wicked Red Denim color is amazing! This color combo combined with the fact the Specials come standard with the 114 may have just sealed the deal for me.
I have a 2918 RGS all black and besides the look its just a comfortable bike. A few Buddys said it was too hard for them to get used to the fixed faring but no issues at all here. My Wife only had one complaint, the rear seat is about useless for a passenger so you'll probably need to go seat shopping. We ended up with a Harley Hammock seat which is very comfortable but raised me up about an inch or so, I can still flat foot it barely but not a huge issue and I'm 5'10"-5"11" with boots on with a 31" inseam.
That’s the best time to ride a Harley hands-down and here’s the reason why: 1: you have not laid down the big bucks yet and so Harley still owns it. 2. It’s most likely guaranteed to run for at least 20 miles when it’s brand new. 3. You have not lost any sleep in the last two years due to owning this bike yet. 4. That overwhelmingly high priced warranty that is number one in the world due to the fact that it is most used you haven’t had to purchase yet. 5. And last but not least you have the wonderful pleasure of bringing it back to Harley and giving it back to them when you’re done.
Live in the UK been to Orlando HD many times bought a Dyna there and had it shipped over , many Harley's later i'm on my 2nd Road Glide a 2019 114 and wouldn't have anything else …..great bikes
I got to demo ride a CVO Road Glide today, also my first time on a HD bagger, that thing is almost life changingly good. Though I will admit it is hard to tell the 117 and the 114 apart. Could easily spec out a Road Glide Special with most of the extras on the CVO without the 42k price tag.
Since everyone wonders what BLOCKHEAD looks like and he doesn’t want to reveal his face to separate his TH-cam life from his career. In this video he said trigger finger came from his inner firearms instructor. So my guess is BLOCKHEAD is some sort of LEO! Glad to see you like the road glide. I love my road glide. 2 inches of travel is ridiculous. My sportbike has 4.5. I love the look of the road glide. Knowing I would have to pay a steep price and then pay more just to get the shocks on the back that it should have already is very offputting.

It really is a preference thing as far as rg and sg. I don't like the way everything feals far away from you and the gauges are low on the rg. But the fixed fairing is nice.

Would be interesting to know , from you or other readers, how is the stability of the RG on a two lane Highway at 65 to 80 mph, with semi's coming at you..... and no Wind-Jammers on their cabs. Or how does it take cross-winds when the outside air temp is around 55 ~60 F ?? Stay Safe .
I don't know, but it seems however you say it 'Bagger" is a derogatory term. A bike with space to carry a few items can never be a bad thing. A bike with no storage space that leaves you with bulging pockets and nowhere to hide a banana has to be worse in any and every situation other than looking cool.

I sort of don't understand why you and some of the other vloggers don't do a simple step of reading the marketing on the Harley page about the vent before taking a test ride. The vent is clearly stated on the page to be there to be open to reduce helmet buffeting. You guys act surprised about the vent and I don't get you not knowing why it is there before doing a test ride vid. It is all over the Harley pages from the 2014 Rushmore updates forward, not hard information to know. But glad to see you enjoy the ride.

StreetGlide is about 30lb lighter and the fairing is smaller, less going on without mirrors sticking out and less brackets. The RoadGlide is dope but its stupid how people bash a StreetGlide comparing them, they are different bikes. If the Roadglide was lighter then the Streetglide i could see how its better but its bigger and heavier. I want both btw.

Ya but not mentioning cost of blacking everything out. The upgrade to 114 from factory versus stage 3 upgrade on a 107 , it's way cheaper by far. But yeah just shy of $30,000 is insane . It's a luxury though. Jet skis are insanely expensive too
Playing around with payment estimator on HD's website turned out to be interesting. The prices keep climbing every year but then again having a $700 month payment with insurance isn't that all out of reach for the common core customer. The same thing happened with recreational boats and then we saw decline in sales and several dealerships closing. Maybe wait a few years and hope to find a certified used one may be a better option. HD better keep the Sportster line to fall back on for the blue collar man/women.
+JD Younk The touring line has some awesome not to mention beautiful bikes but the price is getting out of hand. Even a Softail Heritage that has cruise control, windshield, bags is up there in price. The local dealer is advertising zero % for up to 84 months on all new & used but you have to have FICA credit of 800 above. I've never had late payment, collections, bankruptcy low debt to income ratio for years and still shy of hitting that number. They came back with a 7% offer. Like WTF, you want to sell a bike or not?!?!
When discussing the infotainment system, specifically Apple CarPlay, please note if it works wirelessly. If it requires a wire I assume it must be plugged into the jukebox located in the fairing. This is an issue because the iPhones are too big to fit in the fairing, specifically on the Street Glide and Ultra Classic/Limited. You would have to handlebar mount the phone, but then you still have the wire running out of the jukebox. Can the jukebox lid be shut with a wire hanging out of it connected to the phone? I know the iPhone Plus fits in the compartment of the Road Glides. This could be a major PITA.
Just yeast rode one today. Yeah, it’s nice but that price is out of control. I want the tour pack with the tour seat and that adds $1500. Luckily I get $1500 off to veterans discount, but $29k? I test rode the Yamaha star venture and you get everything this bike has and some for $27k! Yeah I know, resale and the fit and finish is definitely better on the HD. I just don’t know if I can justify the price for this bike.......

Owned an 11 shark ultra and now a 17 shark special, love how the fixed fairing rides and handles. One question 4 u, did u feel any engine heat? My 17 is a 107 M8 and I love how it has no radiant heat, but interested to know if u experienced any on the 114, especially since u are in FL.
Hey Blockhead, this is a nice one! Its strange how much more these bikes cost here in Europe. Just yesterday i saw a Road GLide for 42k Euros, which is about 50k dollars. Crazy!!

Floorboards, never heard em called anything else before now. Also pulling in the clutch cancels the cruise control
Twisting the throttle forward cancels cruise control too

You would have to handlebar mount the phone, but then you still have the wire running out of the jukebox. Can the jukebox lid be shut with a wire hanging out of it connected to the phone? I know the iPhone Plus fits in the compartment of the Road Glides. This could be a major PITA.
It only works with bluetooth. You do have to have a mic for the bike though (a whim or 7 pin connector)

Just yeast rode one today. Yeah, it’s nice but that price is out of control. I want the tour pack with the tour seat and that adds $1500. Luckily I get $1500 off to veterans discount, but $29k? I test rode the Yamaha star venture and you get everything this bike has and some for $27k! Yeah I know, resale and the fit and finish is definitely better on the HD. I just don’t know if I can justify the price for this bike.......

For comparison would you ride a honda goldwing or a Indian cheifton. Those seem to be a big debate but they aren't Harleys.

I rode a street glide and a road glide back to back and I prefer the road glide but I cant afford either right now :-(
I worked for harley as a salesman in Atlanta not a fan of the road glide. the twisted cherry denim isn't doing it any justice either

Owned an 11 shark ultra and now a 17 shark special, love how the fixed fairing rides and handles. One question 4 u, did u feel any engine heat? My 17 is a 107 M8 and I love how it has no radiant heat, but interested to know if u experienced any on the 114, especially since u are in FL.
Hey Blockhead, this is a nice one! Its strange how much more these bikes cost here in Europe. Just yesterday i saw a Road GLide for 42k Euros, which is about 50k dollars. Crazy!!

Road glide was always strange to me the fairing stays still with turning my old quad was like that and riding it at night it was scary so i mounted a big flash light on the bars lol but very nice video block head much love stay safe live to ride ride to live!!!!!!!!!!!!
