- Today we visit Thamluang Khunnam Nangnon National Park to visit the (CAVES) where 13 lives were saved back in June of 2018. Unfortunately, one Retired Thai Navy Diver lost his life while assisting in saving the 12 boys and their coach. Later on, one of the boys who was rescued, died away while in England and another Navy Diver lost his life due to complications of a blood clot infection he caught while rescuing the 12 boys and their coach. Hi Gift and Joe, thank you for another really wonderful vid. I was glued to the internet during the whole rescue process. Being a scuba diver I was totally immersed in the rescue. It is an absolute miracle that they all came out. The emotions of watching it unfold was mind blowing. My heart goes out to all the people from all over the world who put everything into saving the boys and their coach. Very sad about the Thai navy diver. I have watched the movie called the rescue many times and get emotional every time. Stay safe and God bless you and your families. Pete.

I must admit that it has been some time since I have watched one of your and Gift's videos. Since that time I know that Gift has been through and overcome some debilitating health problems. But watching her do the little "chicken dance" at the end was enough to bring tears to my eyes.

I'm aware of the cave incident and of the Australians who played a role in recusing them, but I was not aware that this was now a tourist location with souvenir T-shirts totally missed it when I was in Chiang Rai last year.

We visited the cave with our friend Mark who lives in Chiang Rai. It was just after the statue of the Thai diver who died had been placed. The cave was still closed at the time, it gave me goosebumps.

Ate at H Wolf many years ago when they were in centre of Chiang Rai and the food was delicious. Loads of it. The rescue was very emotional. I will watch the film.

I like it mak mak when you do the hotel reviews. I’ve been to Chiang Mai ( multiple times), Chiang Rai, Pai and the Golden Triangel. Specially the hotel in Pai was an eyecatcher 👍👍👍. As you said, in Chiang Rai you should stay not to far from the Clock Tower

Enjoyed your video, I lived in Chiang Rai for a couple of years great little town very friendly people.
I lived out near the White Temple aka Wat Rong Khun a fabulous temple and probably the biggest tourist attraction in Chiang Rai its definitely worth a visit if you haven't been there yet. We also enjoyed visiting Doi Chang the scenic mountain village in the Mae Suai district in Chiang Rai province. Additional treat is you can get Thailands best coffee there it is delicious.

It was British and Australian drivers that rescued the boys and the boy that died at 17 was found to have committed suicide by the coroner
