Eli Oskar get the 60 or 120 the beauty of solid state master volume amp is no matter how big it is you can turn it down to a whisper for home practice.
Dude! 3 years later I found this amp stored away in the back of a music store in a small town. Asked how much and started researching. Your video was the last one before I walked out the door to go buy this thing. Got her for $170 used. It looks and sounds perfect. Paired it with a Fender FMT HH Custom Tele and YOU ARE RIGHT! She growls/screams at you on those pulls. I can hold a harmonic on a LOW volume setting.. a singing squealing harmonic. Subscribed. Thanks brother!
I'd just like to add: I want to say how happy I am. I was a Marshall guy my entire life. I had one of those suckers when I was 16. Ahhhh.. the memories. BUT! The "Juicy" thing is what sold me. It's what rings true to my style and the sound that I want to hear. That's the important thing. Getting your amp to translate the sound from your head to your ears. Having said that, I'm giddy. The tuning light strip, the headphone out, the loop... but most of all the grittiness. Just outstanding really. Also, I keep playing this video back trying to cop Mike's licks. Right up my alley. :-) (I'm sure that didn't hurt with the decision during research) LOL
I've retired my Fender 75watt combo and switched to this. A quarter of the weight and as loud as f***. It honestly sounds more valvey than a valve amp. Great for pub gigs and tons of tone without pushing the volume up.
You either ripped someone off royally or you’re mistaken and maybe got a different orange amp? I’d kill to be able to get an amp of this quality for that price ahaha
Picked up our household's first setup this weekend, a red Mini Strat and used Crush Pix 12L (scored the amp for$55). Should be a great start. Next step is the full sized LP style guitar and 35RT. Thanks again for the input and inspiration... keep shining.
Sweet demo! I've had this amp now for about a month now and love it. Ran into the smaller brother (the 20RT) on craigslist this past week for a steal price and cashed it out and now I run my 35RT and 20RT in stereo mode with my pedalboard. The clean channels on these amps are very nice! Especially in stereo mode.. Great amps for the money..
It's funny how easy can a video review single handedly make a person buy something. Kudos to you sir. Kudos for your guitar playing and your beatiful tele too.
Solid widdlies, man. The righteous shreds coupled with our mutual moniker has solidified this amp's status as an imminent addition to my aural arsenal.
I just came back from Guitar Center Hollywood, CA, not buying the amp because I was told by the expert there that you can't use the headphone jack as a line out to a mixer for recording. And here you prove him wrong. Going back for the amp. Thanks.
Hey, Mike! I bought the amp and I love it, but I'm getting very low levels into my mixer and Sonar X2 but enough to record, just less than -20 db at full blast from the amp. Problem is that it makes crackling noises when I hit the strings just a little too hard. I tried three different stereo 1/4" cables out of the amp into the mixer and I have it pretty much all the way up on the mixer. Any idea? Not sure if I have a defective amp. Thanks!
+Mondo Vila First thing I would do is try headphones and make sure your getting good output. If that's good, your audio interface probably can be switched from "instrument" input to "line level". If that doesn't work, try another channel on the interface. Let me know if any of that helps!
I just ordered this amp after playing it in store... this thing rOCKS! It's cleans are great and full, but it's high gainy sounds are thicker than molten asphalt and hotter than the core of the sun, especially using a Les Paul or high clarity humbuckers.
These are some dynamic tones. I love that Orange took there time to do a solid state right. I'm a reliability guy and this review helped steer me in the right direction, tubes can be annoying. Thanks!
I bought one 2 years ago.I liked the Orange sound so much that I stepped up a notch and bought my first tube amp.The Orange Rocker15 combo that has the gold label votw 10 inch speaker that has a sensitivity of 101DB.It hits 105DB without breaking a sweat and the speaker isn't broken even broken in yet.The 35rt I now use for practicing and even have it hooked up 24/7 to my tv lol. Orange rocks.I wish I had a custom shop 50 head .To cover all the bases.I don't own any other amps but Orange 🤷😂
I was in guitar center a couple years ago and heard a dude shredding on one of these orange amps. I said is that tube? He said no solid state. I was surprise. Well I've been looking up amps on TH-cam because I want somthing that can do the country and rock. I thinking I'm fixing to sell my marshal twin 2x12 jcm amp for one of these. They are over looked I think maybe.
nice playing mike its got that slighty bluesy classic rock, when you put dirt on it it gave it quiet a kick an frontal presence to come out well when soloing love the sound sonds great for metal, which i love or hard rock
I just got one and I will say this thing is fantastic. The tones at low volumes are probably the best I've heard. Maybe the most fun small amp to play through ever? And I've had them all. However, I wish it was dead silent. Most other solid state amps have zero noise when turned on. This amp compresses your signal ALOT too. So Orange, if you could fix 2 things I'd love it not to compress so much and silence it! Next version please!
Nice playing man! My Marshall VS30R took a dump, and I’ve been in the market for a replacement. I’m usually a tube amp guy to the core, but I also value reliability. Your video sold me on the Crush. Just ordered one! Thanks for the demo and again great playing!
Probably not quite as high as you might think. I tend to look for heavier tones starting at 11:00 and turn it up from there only as much as needed to get that sound. I doubt I'm more than 65-70% up there.
I actually don't know! I would want to play them side by side to see how they differ under close inspection. I can say that the 20RT is fantastic though and I have not played the DX yet.
The BrainDit 20LDX is a modeling amp with alot of digital effects, and is an older crush model so it does not have the improved sound that the newer ones have with voice of the world speakers improved EQ and gain structure, the RT versions do have a digital reverb though, i am going to sell my modeling amp to buy one of these orange crush amps, probably a regular crush 20 because i allready have a polytune clip and because the reverb is still digital, but i tell you that fully analog solid state sounds so much better then the digital modeling stuff, louder, true'er and more responsive, Orange says that the internal structure is similair to tube amps where each EQ section has it's own path just like a tube amp, and you can hear it.
Not sure what version of the LDX you have, cuz my 35LDX isn't modelling, but it does have the digital FX. I think you're getting confused between modelling and FX. The RT line has lost the digital effects. Neither model line is modelling - it's just one amp sound with the usual tone controls. I'd be keen to check out an RT - I'd love to have a footswitch on the OD, and plug my Zoom G5 into the effects loop for modulations etc!
Got mine from zzounds after watching this video. I had the Crush 20 before and it was loud and crisp. This beast is awesome! TY for the video. LOL also bought ORANGE AMPLIFICATION shirts too ;)
I cant dicide about the Orange 35rt and Fender 40 champion, wich is better for use analog pedals? Idc the digital efects of the champion, im gonna use 6 pedals
Question, at 2:57, you're on the clean channel, yet it sounds dark and almost kind of "thuddy". Did you have treble rolled off on amp and/or guitar? It's a very weird sort of "clean tone". I was just looking for videos as I was thinking of pickup one up, but that sound is weird enough to be a deal-breaker. I realize this was a long time ago..but perhaps you recall? Either way, thanks for whatever info you can provide.
I'm hesitating between an Orange and a Marshall. I really like the Orange's sound but I heard you have to buy two seperate footswitches for the distortion channel and the reverb effect. Could you give me some details on this, please?
+Keven Klayne Hey there. The 35RT optional footswitch only changes between the clean and dirty channels. I looked over the website specs for more info but I believe that is the only footswitch function for this amp. www.orangeamps.com Hope that helps!
That overdriven tone is nasty and in a good way, especially with that tuning you're using. I thought you were going to bust into some late model King's X riffage at one point. For a little amp it makes a great racket.
looking into getting an orange amp and I have a gig coming up playing loads of different covers from the stones to Andrew WK..are these good for that distortion sound :)
I have the same amp but its different in the back. The labeling is slightly different and it has another jack in the back that has no label. I was looking it up to try to figure out what it is.
Might be an older (or newer maybe) version of Crush 35. There are LDX and RTs versions that I know and probably other that I don’t. I am not sure what jack is that one you talking about, maybe an speaker out or fx loop?
If you have drums in your band, I'd say probably not. Then again, if your drummer is fairly mellow, maybe. There's a YT video where Rob Chapman is playing a 50w Boss Katana with a drummer and bass player and the Katana is loud enough. A 50w amp is louder than a 35w amp, but not by a whole lot. Actually, doubling the wattage of an amp only results in an extra 3dB of loudness, assuming both amps are using the same speaker. The Katana does have a 12" speaker, though, whereas the Orange has a 10".
Will this accept a 12in 4ohm speaker..i heard a 12in will fit the 35 dlx..i have a old 12in celestion 4ohm from the 80's that soumds great..would like to swap them out..thanks
+Dave Loudin I would need to check with the folks at Orange to be sure. If the amp is set to a fixed 8ohm speaker output then I would imagine not. Not sure if that info is posted on the website or not: www.orangeamps.com
+Mike Martin ..ok ..thanks mike..i was under the impression it had a 4ohm speaker in it....wonder if i could fit a 12in 8ohm in it..not a big fan of 10in speakers..even put a 12in in a 65 princeton..ok..thanks mike
I have an Epiphone '56 Gold Top Les Paul but was thinking of getting a Rickenbacker 330 Jetglo (if I'm not too strapped for cash), any idea how they'd sound through this? I'm thinking of getting a different amp to my Line 6 as I've had that for waaaaay too long lol
Amazing skills and a great review? Excellent work, man. You've definitely given me some good info and definitely a bit of jealousy because of that beautiful guitar
I would start with the EQ at 12 O'Clock for bass mid and treble and start moving from there. Maybe rolling a bit of bass off and seeing if you need to add a touch of high end. Start with your bridge pickup and make sure your getting the right amount of midrange push without any bright harshness. How much gain you use will make a difference too and I think this amp has more than you need for a "classic" sort of lead tone. Maybe somewhere around noon as well and turn it up or down from there depending on how hot your pickups in your guitar are. Hope that helps! Let me know how it's going!
you play very nice, man thank you, this is exactly my kind of interest, i just have a question please, i decided to buy one of these series, my question is, does the 20 version gives a good sound similar to the one you are playing now? or its more different?, by the way i am using it only for home studio and practicing, and i am looking particularly for a Billy Gibbons jimmy page kind of tunes. cheers and thanks again.
Thank you, Sir! The 20 watt is voiced the same as the 35RT. If you get the chance to try them at the same music shop I'd be interested to know what you think and which one you decide to go with. Happy Gear Hunting! \m/
Hey, thanks for the video. I'm looking into an Epiphone "AFD" for the kids, either just the guitar, and a small-ish amp such as this, or the "players pack" that comes with a small 15W amp with 8" speaker. Any input would be most welcomed.
Isaiah Furrow This amp would certainly be a step up from what would be included in a players pack, and for the features, I would say it is certainly worth it!
Yes, that's what I was thinking. This seems to offer anything we would need short of a "half stack" or whatever you'd call a head and 4x12 cabinet setup or the likes... All the way up to gigs someday or recording and such. I am wondering if it's worth it to get the 15A unit that would come with the player's pack. Would it be "serviceable" as a practice amp and give enough tone, control, volume, etc to actually be a useful learning tool? I'm thinking that we could make do with that for a while, then later when we upgrade, we'd have the little one for carting around with us everywhere... I'm thinking that swinging the player's pack would be an easier start, then save for the good amp. I know some peeps as well, so might be able to pick up a "starter" amp for cheap, another option. Thanks again for the reply. Would you say that the Epiphone AFD guitar it's self would be a good first electric guitar for the family? As opposed to other entry level guitars in the same range or even up to about $400 which would be the price of a fairly basic NON-Fender Strat/Tele. I know nothing about guitars really, and have to do some research as there aren't any music stores near me to check out easily. Thanks again for the vid and input... keep shining ...
Most of the entry-level guitars and amps that come with the starter kits are really good nowadays. I tend to recommend Ibanez guitars and would certainly suggest you compare them to the Epiphone, but I believe that's a good place to start as well! Keep me posted on what you end up with and please keep in touch!
Mike Martin Would the small 15W epiphone practice amp be a useful piece of gear, or should I put that $100 toward something like the Crush amp? I could likely find something small and used for less than $100...to get us started. On the other hand, if we upgraded later on, then we'd have the little one for a "beater" amp to cart around everywhere. Thanks again for the input, I will definitely look into Ibanez guitars. I'm visiting family in the city so I am soaking up all the info I can this week from the interwebz... I live in the mountains and there's no wifi or cell service, so I'm not online on the daily, but will keep in touch. keep shining bro...
I guess that is up to you and what you're comfortable spending. If you can go ahead and get the Crush 35RT I say go for it! Having something that is a little nicer is always inspiring to play on so why hold out if you don't have to? There are lots of cool amps to upgrade from there. Trust me. There are so many cool amps both affordable and high dollar, you'll want them all eventually!
+BuddyJesusSmokes Not sure what speaker was in the older ones if they weren't Vintage 30's but this one is the "Voice Of The World" speaker. All Orange amps have a ton of bottom end so depending on what guitar you're playing will make a difference in how you want to set the EQ controls. I find it's better to have more than you need!
Hey dude, awesome vid! I'm a student on a budget and am looking for something around £200! I play in a church band in a school hall sized venue, would this sound big enough clean if mic'ed up?
Help!I love this amp, but is it normal for it to have a loud-ish sounding hum when using the effects loop??? It's louder than not using it... especially for a bedroom amp.I'm having to use the noise sentry through the amp's effects loop to lessen the hum (which has it's own effects loop, fyi). I'm seriously considering upgrading to the rocker 15...
It could be a few things. Your effects in the loop could be adding noise, cables as well, possible ground loop if plugged into a different circuit than the amp? Hard to diagnose without seeing your set up but try adding one effect at a time to your loop, swapping cables and checking power supplies and where they are plugged in. You may need isolated power for your effects as well like on a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power supply unit. Hope that helps!!
Hey, sorry to be back again with another question, but I'm trying to sort out all the "features" of a few things I've been looking up. This Crush 35RT seems to be an awesome choice, small and portable yet still large enough and with enough features to be something we'd grow into instead of something we'd grow out of. With the footswitchable channels, I'm guessing you'd dial up a clean and dirty sound, and then be able to switch back and forth as you're playing ... but can you help me understand the send/return for the pedals? Does this work like an "insert" , after the channel has "colored" the sound the way you want, then the signal goes through the pedals and back into the output section of the amp...? Not sure if I'm understanding this right. If that's how it works, you could use say a looping pedal, play a rhythm, then change to the other channel and jam over the loop, and changing channels won't change the sound of the loop as it would if you had the looper pedal "in-line" before the connection to the amp's input... am I on the right track? Thanks again for the input, subbed...
Isaiah Furrow The effects loop is after the preamp but before the power amp. This is where you would want to put a delay pedal or reverb (though the reverb on this amp is great!). So whatever happens before the input of the amp and the preamp, like a wah pedal, modulation or an overdrive pedal works with the clean or dirty channels. If you use a looper pedal in the effects loop, you can change channels and it will not effect the looper since the looper comes after the preamp "color" as it were. I hope that helps!
I would suspect 35w solid state and the one voice of the world speaker (efficiency 101db) to reach about 110db. Drummers are around 115 db in my experience. I would love to know the actual decibel output of the Crush 35RT!
Yours sounds amazing! I have one i bought when my victory Krakken blew out on me, but for some reason no matter how i tamper with the knobs, it has this throaty sound and makes every single guitar I play it with sound the same. Thin and muffled. I have a les paul 2016 standard, an Epi SG G-400 and a PRS SE 24 yet they'll all sound the same through this amp. Any tips on how to get a more clear tone?
Hmmmm try starting with the gain set very low and bring it up slowly until you find the sweet spot for each guitar. I find that the more gain I play with the more I hear the amp and less character from the guitar and pickups. Hope that helps!
my english is not very good... so I did not understand something from the description... you can connect the "headphone out" to a mixer??? will sound good??? or is better tu use a microphone???
+Gerzain corral Yes, the "headphone out" can be plugged directly into a mixer or a recording interface and it sounds great! I still prefer the sound of putting a microphone on the speaker, but if you don't have that option, the Cab Sim feature is amazing!
I have some famous expensive tubes amps but I find myself playing through this solid state gem, My favorite amp
i became a fan of solid state orange amps
mywave78 wellowoody would this be alright to gig with?
Eli Oskar get the 60 or 120 the beauty of solid state master volume amp is no matter how big it is you can turn it down to a whisper for home practice.
Actually one of the best reviews on this amp. I’m convinced. Buying one. Thanks Mate
I used to play through one of these at my old guitar tutors, loved every minute of it - thought it was a tube amp!
Dude! 3 years later I found this amp stored away in the back of a music store in a small town. Asked how much and started researching. Your video was the last one before I walked out the door to go buy this thing. Got her for $170 used. It looks and sounds perfect. Paired it with a Fender FMT HH Custom Tele and YOU ARE RIGHT! nice to see Orange making a huge comeback in the world of guitar amplifiers. Competition only creates better products.
"Only" but not "always" ...
The sound with the high gain sounds amazing
The cleans are what sells it for me. It's a great inexpensive option if you're a pedal guy. This thing is super versatile.
Damn, I don't know what sold me more: the amp tones or your skills. Great video!
Thanks so much!
That Tele is gorgeous!!
I have been mesmerized with it since I first saw it at the shop on the wall. Just stunning!
A rustic beauty. Is that quilted maple? Man, how bout' this Crush though, sounds a lot better then I thought it would. Nice chops Mike
It is flamed maple but I don't know how it's rated. I'd guess AA or AAA. Definitely not AAAA. Yeah this amp smokes! And thanks for the kind words!
What a sick, bluesy tone! Damn, I was sold at 6:20. Thanks for a great review, Mike. You're a savage.
Damn it is a great tone!
I've retired my Fender 75watt combo and switched to this. A quarter of the weight and as loud as f***. It honestly sounds more valvey than a valve amp. Great for pub gigs and tons of tone without pushing the volume up.
Finally someone who reviews something and can actually play
just scored one for $50 on Craigslist. well worth it.
Tim Morrissey No way. $50!!!!!
Well damn lol
You either ripped someone off royally or you’re mistaken and maybe got a different orange amp? I’d kill to be able to get an amp of this quality for that price ahaha
Bull
I’m picking one up for a hundo. Not sure how you got it for 50... I thought I was committing thievery, but you sir are the king of thieves! Nice score

i just bought one, amazing tone for solid state. it was this or a vox and i actually chose this because it sounds better at lower volumes.
+Joshua Pendley Excellent! Congrats on your new amp!
Oh my God! I love that high gain chug! This amp sounds great all around, but that was just something else entirely
Have no idea why, but this 35RT just keeps showing up for me in my feed here in 2022, like I never even knew it existed before!
Alright, I’m sold on this amp. Came here to see how good it really is and it honestly sounds amazing.
Excellent! Let me know how you like it!
Wow, awesome playing and great amp! A lot more horsepower than I need with my skills so I’ll be looking at an Orange Crush 20.

Wow! I think it's the most beautiful Tele I've ever seen !!!!! And it sounds very good with the amp!

I think this is the demo that clinched a sale for me. I needed to know what a tele sounded through the amp. Thanx!
Excellent!
Same! I was originally gonna go for maybe the 20rt but figured maybe I’ll treat myself aha
Holy ballz. I'm sold.

Good blues amp? Don’t care about metal at all...might it satisfy a strictly blues player?
Excellent playing!
I like this Mike Martin
great review, thanks for showing the clean sound along with the edge of break up.
Thanks so much!

My mum is letting me buy this for my birthday... it sounds AWESOME!
+Tornado The Hedgehog Excellent!!!
+Mike Martin At around 7:22 with the heavier stuff, do you just need the "Dirty" setting all the way up?
Probably not quite as high as you might think. I tend to look for heavier tones starting at 11:00 and turn it up from there only as much as needed to get that sound. I doubt I'm more than 65-70% up there.
Excellent Démo 😉😉
I love it !!! 2015 video! I got mine coming this week 2022! 🤘
great tone & playing! I am getting this amp in 2 weeks.
Thanks man! Excellent choice!
Brand new demo video for the new for 2015 Orange Crush 35RT from Orange Amps!
www.orangeamps.com
what is better to take? 20 rt or 20ldx? Is difference great?
I actually don't know! I would want to play them side by side to see how they differ under close inspection. I can say that the 20RT is fantastic though and I have not played the DX yet.

Good review. Clear and concise without all the bullshit and moronic stuff on other reviews. Well done.
Thank you!
gosh,,, that's tuned down to C or so? great stuff.. djenting on a tele!
I think maybe drop c.... it’s nasty!
Awesome demo
aside from delays and flanges(distractions) this thing has more tonal diversity than any line 6 modeling amp
Mike! I just ordered this today from ZZ. This video made me smile knowing I'm about to enjoy this amp. I enjoyed the review!
Excellent!! Thank you so much!!
Idc the digital efects of the champion, im gonna use 6 pedals
great demo, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
just got one and its insane😀😀😀
Excellent!!
what settings do you use for if you want your amp to sound like 5:30 I an't figure it out and it's really pissing me off
Well I just ordered one because of this demo. Sound awesome! I need a good practice amp.
7:22 dude this is violent!
It’s more “edge of breakup” kind of clean which is kind of the thing with a lot of Orange amp models. I dig it!
I have this amp and Love it
Great for practice
That's the tone right there
Great demo. Just found you. I have to get one to record with and do small gigs and outdoor jams.
Thanks a bunch. I really like your playing, by the way.
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words!
Nice demo my man!
Very good demo....Thank you !
Thank you!
Do you reckon Orange Crush 35RT over the new Yamaha THR10 II? I only need for home use and not for gigging.
Lazo Tashev go for the orange 🍊 it’s got a bigger speaker 🔊 you won’t be disappointed 😎
@@sid35gb would you recommend it even over the thr30ii? I use mostly clean tones. Thanks
That overdriven tone is nasty and in a good way, especially with that tuning you're using. I thought you were going to bust into some late model King's X riffage at one point. For a little amp it makes a great racket.
+adam872 Thank you Sir!! \m/
looking into getting an orange amp and I have a gig coming up playing loads of different covers from the stones to Andrew WK..are these good for that distortion sound :)
+craig jones I think so, but it's always best to take your guitar to the shop and put one to it's paces to be sure!
Finally a good and useful review. Thank you, man.
Thank you so much!
I’m sure they have made some updates since I posted this video. I need to see what’s new!
Could you gig this in a small venue (like 4-5 by 15 m or smth), no PA? rock band.
I'm actually just wondering
If you have drums in your band, I'd say probably not. Then again, if your drummer is fairly mellow, maybe. There's a YT video where Rob Chapman is playing a 50w Boss Katana with a drummer and bass player and the Katana is loud enough. A 50w amp is louder than a 35w amp, but not by a whole lot. Actually, doubling the wattage of an amp only results in an extra 3dB of loudness, assuming both amps are using the same speaker. The Katana does have a 12" speaker, though, whereas the Orange has a 10".
@@profd65 thanks
Mike, great review. Thanks !
Thanks for the Demo Video.
Do you think I can use the amp for ZZ Top Sound and Texas Blues or should I look for something else?
Christian Karl probably the cr60 definitely does 😎
I think so. It takes drive pedals well to so it’s very versatile
Can i use my pedal effect thru input? Thanks
Great review, Love the top on that tele!
Thanks! I love it too!
Would you be able to do a comparison video of this and the rocker 15? Really want to see how it stacks up to an orange tube amp.
Thank you Mike! Great review and killer playing
Just ordered mine, good review of it bro
I have an Epiphone '56 Gold Top Les Paul but was thinking of getting a Rickenbacker 330 Jetglo (if I'm not too strapped for cash), any idea how they'd sound through this? I'm thinking of getting a different amp to my Line 6 as I've had that for waaaaay too long lol
I think it would sound great but there's only one way to know for sure!
Thanks 🙏 mike.. really good 😌 job
Thank you mike,mine arrived today.
Very nice!!!!!!!!! great little amp mine arrives in two days!!!! GREAT video and playing bud!!!!
Thanks so much!
35RT seems to be Drop D friendly.
it is, i like to play a lot of tool
great review!
Thanks so much!
Amazing skills and a great review? Excellent work, man. You've definitely given me some good info and definitely a bit of jealousy because of that beautiful guitar
This or the thr30ii? Thanks
Just got this 35RT. It has quite a buzz coming out of head phone jack. Is that just the case or....
That sounds like an issue. I would have it checked out!
Hi, the clean tones sounds a bit distorted don't you think? not so clear, it seem like a pretty good amp for high gain and distortion purposes
That sounds great man! Lovely clean and drive tones!!
great video martin,do you think this amp's clean channel could work great with a distortion pedal?
Hiya, thanks for the video. I was wondering if you knew whether the FX Loop on the CRUSH35RT is in series or parallel?
I do not know for sure, but I presume it is series.
Mike, I've got this amp but I'm struggling to get the settings for some classic solos, Hotel California etc, any ideal settings you could recommend?
Should add I've got tele with humbuckers to run it through
I would start with the EQ at 12 O'Clock for bass mid and treble and start moving from there.
Mike Martin Thanks for the reply mate, everyone keeps telling me how great it is and videos like this show it's possible. I'll have a twiddle.
Hi, I really like the 50s-60s crunchy tones plus the tones like AC/DC or Slash. Would it fit with my expectations?
I think so! I would definitely take your guitar to a shop and try it out!
you play very nice, man thank you, this is exactly my kind of interest, i just have a question please, i decided to buy one of these series, my question is, does the 20 version gives a good sound similar to the one you are playing now? or its more different?, by the way i am using it only for home studio and practicing, and i am looking particularly for a Billy Gibbons jimmy page kind of tunes. cheers and thanks again.
Trust me. There are so many cool amps both affordable and high dollar, you'll want them all eventually!
sounds less muddy than older orange amps. do they have a better speaker now?
+BuddyJesusSmokes Not sure what speaker was in the older ones if they weren't Vintage 30's but this one is the "Voice Of The World" speaker. All Orange amps have a ton of bottom end so depending on what guitar you're playing will make a difference in how you want to set the EQ controls. I find it's better to have more than you need!
Put a mxr 10 band eq in fx loop and it is pristine.
I’ve had mine for about 4 years, the more I use it, the better I like it.
My Fender Deluxe stays in the garage.
Isaiah Furrow Here is a great video explaining how an effects loop works with players demonstrating:
th-cam.com/video/Iplc4YHJikM/w-d-xo.html
Mike Martin Perfect explanation, and thanks for the link... I'll keep you posted on what we get.
Hi, do you think, that is this amp able to play with band, or in club next to the drummer?
Yes! If you needed more you can always mic it into the PA
Hope that helps!
so you can run this amp through a soundboard with the headphone input?
Ruben Mancha Yes, but it will defeat the speaker so you would have to get it sent to your monitors as well.
Could I possibly use the headphone jack to hook up this amp to a cab or a large speaker, given that the speaker has its own power supply?
A powered speaker, monitor or PA, yes but the headphone out will not power a passive speaker cabinet.
my english is not very good... so I did not understand something from the description... you can connect the "headphone out" to a mixer??? will sound good??? or is better tu use a microphone???
+Gerzain corral Yes, the "headphone out" can be plugged directly into a mixer or a recording interface and it sounds great! I still prefer the sound of putting a microphone on the speaker, but if you don't have that option, the Cab Sim feature is amazing!
+Mike Martin thank you for the answer!!!!
