The feedback from the trades at the end shows that it pays for itself. People massively underestimate the power of social media but will happily spend stupid amounts of money on Google Ads, SEO etc.

The difference for me is when an influencer directly goes to a business asking for free stuff (bad, kinda cringe especially for small businesses) vs companies approaching the influencer (better, the company has already set money aside for the promotion)
Edit: also you have to accept the level of customer service you get will be completely different from what most will get
yep icl, to someone like yianni money isn’t an issue either just pay what your buying for and still promote their business, not ask it for free
I came here to say exactly that, what Yianni did isn’t the same as what “the influencer’s” organiser did. What they did was put of order.

Agree with a lot of what you said, Yanni but the key piece was all of your busy history and success, that's what gives you the platform to give mutual benefit, most influencers asking for a freebie it's not mutual.
There's a big difference between a clearly defined large piece of work with documented progress and evidence vs wanting a free cake too.

Due to the fact he is open & honest in how he does his dealings and processes, that to me is a man with humility, he didn't have to. The thing with you Yianni is you always want to help others succeed. Those businesses that gave you a good service and provided a quality product have benefited ten fold regardless of whether they did it at cost or less. However your social media presence works both ways, the painting firm will start losing business, not because you have gone after them or deliberately caused them issues but because you are straight down the line, you tell it how it is, if they had come back rectified the issue no problem but they didn’t and that will come back and bite them. You’ve earned your name and reputation, when a company is used because of your name then it comes back to you if it goes wrong. You are not going to risk all your hard work to see some company put that into question. Great business acumen and someone to aspire to👍🇬🇧
That’s the thing with a pool in the uk, you don’t get enough time in the year to actually enjoy it, the maintenance of owning an outdoor pool is more of an headache then the enjoyment level of them.
The amount of money it costs to install and maintain a pool in UK would probably pay for next 10 years of holidays in Mediterranean 2x a year.

It just comes down business planning - gifting things away for free is part of your ‘marketing budget’ however smaller businesses may be less inclined as influencers have got a bad rep recently. In my opinion any exposure for a start up must be seen as a positive.
Word of mouth is the most powerful sales tool. 👏👏

I think Yianni summed up why his position is different to the bakery cake sage. The difference is the scale of the business and following. Yianni has what he has and never asked for things for free. The bakery said no free products to a z list ‘celebrity’ because they are a small start up and can’t afford to and don’t need to either. There is a different here.

We do 200 amp service in USA all day long and some 400 amp power services all the time
I think the difference is that the “influencer” approached a small business for what is a relatively inexpensive item. The people you used have given a generous discount on something that is expensive in return for exposure.

We definitly need an video to where you can break down the costs of how much you paid for an item/product/service.
Why? Every deal is different and every influencer has a different reach, so no two deals will be the same.

Jealousy. People are always gonna have issues with successful people. The fact Yanni had these companies approach him didnt happen overnight. Its probably the 15+ years hes put into his business and social media prior to the build, thats made these trades want to work with him. Fair play Yanni!

The influencer contact business and wanted to be paid and everything for free is an interesting conversation, the business I currently work for has paid a few small influencer and it has gone horribly wrong.

I think most of us knew from day dot one that resistance spas was going to be an issue. I do hope you get it sorted out. Worst case scenario vest file a law suit as they haven’t delivered upto the standard they should’ve
You may have saved money but the biggest thing for me is the work you will have given those trades. That will far outweigh the savings you have made and will have benefited them massively. Top man!

Ive never understood companies who complain about influencers demanding free stuff. The solution is very simple : if you dont like their terms - just say no. Nobody is forcing anyone to accept anything.
