@thisisashville and I went to Dubai for @dmodeejay wedding but while out there I saw so many things that made me think Dubai is not a real place 🤣 even though I love it there.

I just moved to Dubai and damn didn't expect the monsoon. Roads are still blocked and flooded, I don't think they expected it to be this bad. Costly problems for many with cars in the water and homes flooded.

in our areas its all cleared in 1 day, its most rain in history for UAE + its equal to 5 months of London rain in just 24hrs which is crazy, thats more than turkey or Spain floods.

Dubai has changed so much in the last 7-10 years. Unfortunately it is NOT tax free anymore, there is VAT and there is corporate tax. I loved the old Dubai, not anymore. Luxury is surely there and money can be made, but it is not the same culture as it was. The only country remain in the Middle-East, as it was, is Oman. The westernization of Dubai has positive and negative effects, most Emiratis go to Oman on their holidays/weekends to escape the city.
Obvious VAT and corporate taxes were "loss leaders" but Dubai is still the best place in the World for aspiring entrepreneurs.
I'd love to go on a road trip with the pair. Both are a claas act... 😂😂

Yianni & DMO you guys are meant to be car guys but you didn’t realise the actuator on the fuel tank failed, common VAG issue and the other thing when you tried to insert the fuel filler into the fuel tank there’s no difference between a petrol & diesel nozzle. The nozzles are the same, it’s just when you insert the fuel pipe into the fuel tank it has 2 release mechanisms ( top and bottom) which opens the flap inside to allow the pipe to further down. That’s why DMO couldn’t open it. 😂

The 3rd highest amount of rain in 24hours in recorded history, absolutely crazy. For those saying it was cloud seeding, it was not. The storm came from Oman. The fact Dubai is already almost back to normal is unbelievable.

Ive not been back to dubai since november 2021, no longer a family destination. Its become very seedy every where , whereas before the seediness was hidden away in deira or bur dubai but now you find escort calling cards in dubai marina & ladies of the night in Jumeirah Beach / Jumeirah Naseem receptions. On one occasion me & my brother were eating at 5 guys in JBR with the kids , when 2 hookers approached asking if we wanted some business. Dubai was perfect for family holidays now its become like Morocco with hookers everywhere.
