Our generation thinks they want a relationship until they realize it takes work. It’s way too easy to get caught up in a false reality nowadays.

    • @KellyStamps

The illusion of choice. Everyone thinks they have so many options so they quit at the first sign of difficulty. Then they end up alone at 35 wondering why they never got married. We should be picky but within reason. I had a very healthy relationship with some bumps, but we worked it out. I wonder is this an American problem or is this a worldwide phenomenon of everyone giving up…

@@KellyStamps Exactly!! Difficulties are meant to be a test for your relationship. If you love the person and care about the relationship, addressing difficulties mutually is vital to nurturing the relationship. No one said it’s easy, but I don’t get how else people think they will get through life if they refuse to do some inner healing. It makes me sad that our generation doesn’t get out more. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is more prominent in America. I wish it was 1995 lol

Age isn’t the problem. The underdevelopment of values and weak dedication to developing their character is the problem. It’s likely that the older you get, the more ingrained your values become but if those values are crappy…you got a crappy older person.

As someone who has been single for nearly 8 years and is approaching her thirties. I still have faith that God will ultimately connect me with my husband when the time is right. I was praying once, asking God why I wasn't having any success in the dating world, and I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me to remain patient, as the guy God was preparing for me is still not ready. I trust God's timing and His word. God never intended for us to be alone, and I trust that ultimately His love for me is greater than I can ever imagine. I also have learnt from my own experience that whenever I do take matters into my own hand, things have got a tendency to go horribly wrong 😂. So yeah, I am going to just wait on the Lord. I do intend on getting married one day, and I don't intend on ever getting divorced either, so finding the right person to settle down with is crucial. Don't get me wrong, I do have my moments of self-pity and impatience, but I find that in times like that, it's important to recognise where these thoughts are coming from and how they are serving you. The devil doesn't attack from the outside. He attacks from the inside. Be careful not to feed those thoughts, but instead focus on God's promises instead. I watched this other podcast today, and the guy made a statement that really resonated with me. God will often give you the vision, but it's faith that ultimately gets you there. We need to trust the process, irrespective of how long it takes, because only He knows the bigger picture. Sometimes, it's our own impatience and stubbornness that prolong our journey, e.g. look at Sarah and Abraham. It's a good thing that our God, irrespective of our character, still provides us with His grace, and He never goes back on His word. His grace and love for us unconditional. He is and will always be my first husband. May God continue to bless you ❤

Don't fool yourself with wishful thinking like I did. Someone older who is actually a quality person isn't going to be interested in someone our age (for the most part at least)! The problem is the other introverts are also avoiding society so it's hard for us to find each other. It's just going to take time. I just keep believing that we'll all find our partner when it's the right time and it can't be rushed or forced. It will be when it is meant to be. Hello Kelly, I’m an R&D engineer and I’ve worked with those “paper sheet” detergent things. They are very practical but the cost per kg of surfactant in those is a bit high. Also they are not very much environmentally friendly. Best detergent option is by far to use powder detergent. And only a little bit, less that they tell you to is probably enough.

@@AvgJane19 Yeah, too much powder detergent can damage your cloths. Especially if it has whitening agents. Too much detergent in general can also cause bad “fatty” smells in your machine. Same with too much softener, especially on synthetic clothing for the softener.

    • @andrepedro9249

@@KellyStamps indeed there isn’t😂. The sheets still are a great product because of how practical they are. And the low surfactant dosage can actually be good for people who tend to overdose detergent. Plus, nowadays clothes are usually not that dirty when you wash them, so no need to use too much detergent anyway. Love your videos by the way. Keep up the good work 👌

The key to a relationship is not just being romantic. You need to see your partner as your best friend. Because the honeymoon phase will end and you'll see sides of your partner that'll drive you nuts. That will cause the partner to be bored hence the cheating. My fiance drives me nuts but I love him. He's my buddy ❤️ he makes me laugh, i can be myself around him and he tells me there's things that i do that drive him nuts. Love is not just romance. Marriage is not just romance. Also remember you and your partner are not perfect! Youll never be perfect. There is no such thing as a perfect partner. We're human. If you can look past that false reality you two will be ok.

I'd be very careful with these thoughts, our generation has it's problems but I'd say they're just more vocal and easier to spot when it comes to red flags. In that past men would cheat, beat, and more (not much differences to now) except it was a hush hush type of thing or the wife turned a blind eye in order to stay in a marriage in fear of being a single mother or divorced woman. I personally cannot be attracted to anyone past 5 years of my age ( with rare exceptions), although there is much work to be done, men have come some ways in terms of understanding life as it is and better dynamics with women. For the most part cheating and beating a woman is less encouraged, and there are men our age with sensible personalities, they're just hard to find. Even harder to find if you're Christian because from what I'm seeing, the are nearly non existent in churches these days. You could say they were more present in the past, but that's probably because there was a different culture, they probably did lots of things a modern man would do, even while in a church.

IMHO church isn't the place to meet men. The idea seems like a good one but from my experience men go to church to find wounded women to take advantage of. They know that the women would be enthusiastic to get married to a God fearing man and will rush a relationship dodge some important questions. There is also that submission part. Any couple that I've known who have met in church, the guy turned out to be a nightmare. Coming from difficult pasts like prison, addiction etc. Everyone has a past but I think church is one of those places where the wounded take refuge and look for redemption. Even the married ones can be problematic as they will sleep with the other women in the congregation. There aren't many single men at church to begin with so the competition is real. My father started going to church in his 70's and these women were so aggressive that they were blocking me, his daughter, from sitting next to him at a church dinner.
