Thanks for the tip, I appreciate the help! I know this is an "older" video. However I have a c5 with this issue on the driver's side but it is intermittent. I recently replaced the speakers and had it working, then it stopped again when I shut the door. While I was skeptical about the tip in the video, I do believe in replacing the cheapest part first, it worked so I am grateful. :-) I fooled around with the according plug last night and it started working again. The next time I get into the door panel I am going to clean these connectors and be sure they making solid connections. If the issue repeats I am probably going to replace the relays but I want to avoid that if possible.
Thank you for making this video, I end up changing the starter and the oil sensor for nothing because I getting reduce engine power and my door wasn't working. Basically the gound gave me that engine code but now it is fixed. Starting reving at redline again 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant. I've had this issue since I bought mine, was never happy with the "wiggle it and it's fine" method., After spending money on door switches etc, it still didn't work. When mine comes back from the paint shop I'll have a look at this. Thank you
So glad you made this video. My passenger lock will only open after hitting the unlock button 5-7 times from the drivers side and I've been wondering what to do about it. Clarify for me if the issue should be addressed from the passenger side rubbery thing or is it fixed from the driver side only. Thanks!!
don't have to remove door panel, just remove accordion thing.. it's a real pain in the ass to get to the connectors and get them disconnected.. if you have large hands it's even more difficult.
having the same issue, my passenger window would intermittently work then go out, finally it got stuck slightly down so i replaced the entire window motor. This fixed it… for a few days then went right back to being stuck up. Locks work fine but the window motor just makes a click sound. No idea what it is and haven’t heard anyone with the same issue.
Sounds like a bad window regulator motor. Unfortunately you have to replace the entire regulator, but it's not a terrible job. I have a video on how to do it.
Having this issue no power with my 99 on the passenger side door. I’m having the reduced engine power message appear a lot. Corvette forum said this could be the cause. Also have to change my oil pressure sensor it’s stuck reading at high. Corvette forum/youtube also said this can cause REP…. Newly installed double din kenwood. But I know it wired right. I need to check grounds next I assume??
That's great to know, but you obviously haven't seen my comment on another video about the yellow ring at the top of your steering wheel and how it should be at TDC! Again, the fix is relatively easy but you have to isolate whether it is a steering wheel relocation issue or in fact the alignment needs to be pulled to the right and this is accomplished by checking where the turn signals release in relationship to the steering wheel, making this simple adjustment will bring the yellow ring to TDC! Talkabout driving one crazy!? Looking at that ring slightly to the right would drive me crazy! ¿`_
Haha. Hey man. Yeah just saw your comments. Going to a square setup soon. So when I have them mount the new tires I'll get the alignment squared away. 🤘🤙👍
@@VetOnVettes do make sure the steering wheel is set properly and this can be achieved by determining where the left and right turn signal return and "click" back when the steering wheel is brought back and straightened after the turn. If one side is higher than the other, then the steering wheel has to be remounted. I'm hesitant to have any car aligned if there was no major repair done! ¿`_

This video fixed exactly what was wrong with my 2003 c5 z06. Thank you brother!

Saving this one for my future C5 Z06 (or maybe C6 GS if same). Thanks !

Did it end up working ?
What if I lost power to just the driver side. The driver side controls for the passenger side like the window and the mirror work though
Can you buy a new contact?

Do you have to pull the door panel off? I couldn’t get the connector out to in-clip it.
Yes, you have to take the panel off

Any tips on interior lights not turning on ?
Thanks, appreciate the info!
My windows doesn’t go up or down only the locks work on both doors

BLESS YOU!
Nice tutorial. Those factory plugs are very problematic. I completely replaced them with deutsch plugs.
Agreed!!! They are trash. That's what I should do in the near future.
Hey, what’s the link to the new connectors
Thanks for tthe info, as always!
I still can control the other stuff my problem is when I go to put the driver window down it just makes a click

Good video.
I found my issue. The wiring that connects the panel to the door computer was the issue
Thanks took me 5 seconds
i totally don't believe you.. i've spent hours on this..
Good job
