Ace is definitely in that. Shiarhoshi and Vivi for me. Shirahoshi won me over with her “My blood isn’t F, but it’s red too”, plus her tears that people have to jump over. Vivis number one though cause she’s awesome
These videos really just show how good Oda is at writing his characters. Luffy is the main character among thousands of other great characters but still remains on top no matter what. The best main character.

These polls always prove how great a shounen protagonist Luffy really is. In very few other Shounen titles would I expect the main character to consistently beat other characters no matter how many groupings they're split into. It's quite absurd

I think I put urouge pretty high when I voted. I really like him even though, yes, he doesn't do much, but obviously I can't put him higher than Luffy and Law. I think I put Hawkins in the bottom. Every time he appears I like him less.
I love Urouge's design, epithet and personality. He's always smiling, even in the face of danger, but isn't completely reckless. The "karma" devil fruit or whatever it might be sounds awesome. He beat a Big Mom commander and was excited seeing Kaido, just stood there and prayed for him. He's just a neat character and has backstory potential given his race and "Mad Monk" epithet.

Capone is one of my favourite pirates in One Piece, he does what he wants, is a crime boss and also has this family feeling all great pirates in One Piece have. Thus said matching him up with the other worst generation characters I understand his placement, he just isn't as exciting as the other characters.
I really love Blackbeard, he’s one of my favorite characters in One Piece. He’s the true definition of a pirate in my opinion. Don’t understand why people would hate him, he just does what he wants and lives in freedom. He’s just like Luffy but just a little bit thicker.
I was one of the few that voted for Killer as my favorite Worst Generation. Dude is such a complex character with Wano simply showing me how important he is to Kid and his crew

I reckon Hawkins being 10th place is a shock, considering that I think his devil fruit power is actually really cool and he has one of the better designs in my opinion.
Interesting thing about this poll is the ambiguity of the "favourite person" criteria. I imagine people fall into two camps: least-favourite = don't-care-about-them and least-favourite = hate-the-bad-guy (maybe a possible least-favourite = badly-written as well?). No idea the proportion of people in each camp but it's an interesting thing to consider! Like someone voting apoo below Urouge could be because they're thinking "oh I don't like him, he's a bad guy". Not that there's anything wrong with either of the decisions, just a slightly ambiguous question :)

I honestly don't understand Hawkins popularity. His combat skills are non-existent, hes also an ACTUAL TRAITOR who truly betrayed the alliance out of fear (apoo was never actually part of the alliance, so him switching sides l is just miss information ppl use to slander him). And his most notable ability is to scape -goat someone elses life to cover for his garbage fighting skill like a true coward. I swear the fact hes over ppl like urouge and apoo is specifically cuz he looks edgy.

Shonen protagonists that are actually likeable are rare... basically just Luffy, Ichigo, Naruto, and Yusuke Urameshi. Funny how that works... the best main characters seem to make for beloved series. How about that.

THEORY: The One Piece is an Eyepatch that used to belong to JoyBoy and maybe if worn, will give you the information of the void century, Oda has stated that he is dying to draw a certain character with an eyepatch and I think he is referring to JoyBoy, I think JoyBoy is the first ever pirate to wear an eyepatch and Luffy will find it in Laugh Tale and use it somehow I think this is a really good theory so please like so Liam can see this

I think the reason I personally dislike Hawkins so much is because of how boring he is. He hides behind the concept of probability and doesn't seem all that ambitious, he has cool powers but he allies himself with those he thinks are least likely to kill him and never takes any risks or really goes all out. He just comes across as a very cowardly character and the concept of siding with the odds is a theme which characters like Luffy directly oppose so it's like we're trained to dislike him from the start.
Stronger than almost all of them tho only Zoro Luffy and law are stronger then him only reason he wasn't part of it cuz how unnoticed he was the government didn't even know how he looked

Capone is one of my favourite pirates in One Piece, he does what he wants, is a crime boss and also has this family feeling all great pirates in One Piece have. Thus said matching him up with the other worst generation characters I understand his placement, he just isn't as exciting as the other characters.

I really love Blackbeard, he’s one of my favorite characters in One Piece. He’s the true definition of a pirate in my opinion. Don’t understand why people would hate him, he just does what he wants and lives in freedom. He’s just like Luffy but just a little bit thicker.
I was one of the few that voted for Killer as my favorite Worst Generation. Dude is such a complex character with Wano simply showing me how important he is to Kid and his crew

I reckon Hawkins being 10th place is a shock, considering that I think his devil fruit power is actually really cool and he has one of the better designs in my opinion.

Interesting thing about this poll is the ambiguity of the "favourite person" criteria.
I imagine people fall into two camps: least-favourite = don't-care-about-them and least-favourite = hate-the-bad-guy (maybe a possible least-favourite = badly-written as well?).
No idea the proportion of people in each camp but it's an interesting thing to consider! Like someone voting apoo below Urouge could be because they're thinking "oh I don't like him, he's a bad guy".

I honestly don't understand Hawkins popularity. His combat skills are non-existent, hes also an ACTUAL TRAITOR who truly betrayed the alliance out of fear (apoo was never actually part of the alliance, so him switching sides l is just miss information ppl use to slander him). And his most notable ability is to scape -goat someone elses life to cover for his garbage fighting skill like a true coward. I swear the fact hes over ppl like urouge and apoo is specifically cuz he looks edgy.

I love that Apoo is dead last, it's so appropriate, he's the only supernova that's an unambitious backstabbing weasel and I love that about him. He's so different from the rest.

He picked the fight with all the fan favorites and actually held his own while being a complete clown about it, so alot of stans took it personally. Its a shame cuz hes a really fun character in both role (he was clearly designed as a heel) and design.

THEORY: The One Piece is an Eyepatch that used to belong to JoyBoy and maybe if worn, will give you the information of the void century, Oda has stated that he is dying to draw a certain character with an eyepatch and I think he is referring to JoyBoy, I think JoyBoy is the first ever pirate to wear an eyepatch and Luffy will find it in Laugh Tale and use it somehow

I think the reason I personally dislike Hawkins so much is because of how boring he is. He hides behind the concept of probability and doesn't seem all that ambitious, he has cool powers but he allies himself with those he thinks are least likely to kill him and never takes any risks or really goes all out. He just comes across as a very cowardly character and the concept of siding with the odds is a theme which characters like Luffy directly oppose so it's like we're trained to dislike him from the start.
Fun fact - sanji is not part of worst generation.
