I'm going to say Zoro. for a few reasons. it helps that we know him the best out of all the other VC's but the main reason is summed up in the water 7 arc. before this it was a group of friends sort of together leaving the big fights to Luffy cause he was strong. Roronoa Zoro is the best vice captain cuz he saved the main character many times, like drowning and when he is knocked. And we also know that zoro is the most loyal person in one piece with the coolest sword style.
honetly the best vice captain in one piece is gin..... is ending was so devoted and perfect that any progress regarding his story will only undermine hisloyalty to his insane captain.
Wait, did you just mention how Alladine was the third generation carousing of the Sun Pirates yet still put him on this list, then mention how Jinbe was the former Vice Captain, but forget to put Jinbe on said list? Personally I would put Jinbe as an A Tier, because while he has the strength and did lead his crew, he failed to lead Arlong and had to strike a deal to get him out of prison. But he still cared for him enough to help get him out of trouble, even after Along left the crew.
I would say that zoro is the best 2nd in command because he is the main characters right hand man… Not just that though. The straw hats almost perfectly line up with the previous pirate kings crew. The one thing that is different is that in the end the straw hats will have done what the Rodger and his crew couldn’t. Not just find/attain the one piece, but in the aspect of strength. Meaning that zoro will end up being better than Silvers Rayleigh in strength and vice captainry.
Zoro, Why? Because he won't let his own captain stand in the way of his ambition to be the best swordsman yet he will do anything to support his captain even die for him. He is at a point where he will do anything to survive to be the best for his captain and be ready to die for him. Kinda doest make sense but that's exactly why the answer is Zoro.
Zoro cause he was hear at the start and has been with us for all of one piece he has just been such a fundamental character in one piece that he really does deserve the spot and in second place we obviously have Rayleigh cause we’ll he is Rayleigh
I think the best Vice Captain has to be Rayleigh not only because he was completely loyal to Roger but also because he’s taken much of his knowledge and used it to train Luffy.
Zoro's spot is well justified. What I believe puts him into Rayleigh tier is when he made the deal with Kuma and when he put his foot down when dealing with Usopp leaving the crew. Both of these acts supported Luffy when he was at a weak point physically or mentally and it kept the crew together and strong.
I' m going to make a case for the one you actually forgot in your video: Gin from the Krieg Armada. Not only was he actually pretty strong for an east-blue pirate (remember he DID manage to defeat Sanji) but he' s also fiercly loyal to his captain to the point that he was actually willing to obey a direct order that would get him killed. In my mind he's too good of a second in command to follow a fool like Don Krieg especially after he knocked out his own captain to have him stop acting like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum.
Doesn't that fall under the same thing as Jango for Kuro, Gin not being completely able to call out the BS done by Don Krieg ? I mean, I get that they were unlucky as fuck to meet Mihawk immediately but still. And then there's the thing where Gin dying would harm the crew even further. At this point his loyalty towards Don Krieg was effectively a bad thing... for Don Krieg and the rest of the crew.
@@hanumanganesha9609 In an arc that early, he was as strong as anyone could possibly be. He escaped the marines while starving, and shattered pearl guy's shield with a single strike. If he managed to travel the Grand Line he could've become a top tier fighter.
You have to love Brook. As Vice Captain despite his lack of strength continued on as captain, kept the crews spirits up even as they died, came back from death and kept his sanity after decades alone to keep a promise to a friend, and is just as loyal with Luffy. despite his age he is still learning and expanding skills and would step in if needed again to lead and has when needed with very clever ideas. He may be looked down upon because of his sophmoric obsession with panties, but I believe that is one of the things that allowed him to keep his sanity. He did not act ike that before his death.
Honestly, Brook deserved to be bumped up to A-tier. Remember, Laboon isn’t just a whale, he is as much a member of the Rumbar Pirates as anyone else. Brook persevered through 50 years of sanity-destroying isolation ENTIRELY to fulfil a promise towards the last remaining member of his crew, whom he had no way of even knowing is even STILL ALIVE. That loyalty alone IMO should bump him up a tier.
The best right hand is definitely Luffy. He’s strong, reliable, sometimes meat hungry, but he’s always been there for Captain Usopp and his self-fulfilling prophecies
@Sauce 68 and yet thousands are still out here engaging with it to this day...stop talking like you're spitting facts or something its called an opinion and however subjective it is you're still allowed to have it...but it is still subjective...usopp is god tier just deal with it bro. lol
I personally like Benn beckman, because in my opinion his character seems so interesting, he’s also shown with a gun but has never actually fired a shot so that says a lot about his strength
Zoro hands down is the best. When he said the words “we’re not pretending to be pirates, this isn’t a game” really summed up Zoro’s strong foundation to holding his captain accountable after the Ussop turmoil.
The best vice captain is Brook, so trusted by the Rumbar Pirates he was easily made captain and put in charge of a crew who just went through a huge tragedy, not to mention even when everyone was dying they trusted him to continue the legacy of the Rumbar Pirates with ease. The way I see it trust plays a huge role for vice captains from both captain and crew.
The best vice captain from what I've seen personally is Zoro. At the end of Thriller Bark Arc, when zoro decided without hesitation that he would take all the pain from luffy. That really cemented to me that he will keep pushing with everything he has to make Luffy the Pirate King and obtain One Piece.
I would say Rayleigh but its too impossible to ignore Zoro's perfect fulfillment of his role. He's always there when Luffy needs him, but that 'nothing happened' moment clearly secured it for me, representing the pure qualities of a Vice Captain.
Perosphero is kinda like a Vicecaptain. He has the highest Political Power, and took Charge after the big Hungerpain. Katakuri is obviously the true right hand, but Perosphero fullfills a similar role and connects better whit BMs own Personality.
The best vice captain is a three way tie between Ninjin, Piiman, and Tamanegi. They worked together and supported their captain when no one else did. They were happy he got to go and follow his dreams. Despite missing him. What would have happened to Usopp without them?
Brook is the best due to him carrying the tradition and heart of his crew till death. He carried that role of captain after the first passed and recorded the music that surrounded their identity to make it eternal. Nothing but the best from Brook for his crew
The best vice captain imo is Marco, not only because his deep father-son relationship with Whitebeard but also because from flash backs we can see how Marco is in good terms with everyone from the crew and he was the first to make Ace feel this place like a home also everyone respects him enough to let him take the captain role and lead them during the payback war
Spoiler warning ⚠️: However Zoro just beat King, effective making him the strongest, on the contrary, Marco does have outside skills while zoro really has none.
@@micah8016 spoiler alert Yea Zoro did defeat King but let's not forget Marco was handling both King and Queen and his only problem was stamina, they weren't in hybrid form but it was still 2v1. Anyways my point was that Marco is the best to have the vice captain role not the strongest cuz that's Rayleigh
I think the best Vice Captain is Brook, because he went through hell and back in order to keep the wishes of his crew alive. He may have not been able to protect his crew, but he is determined to make sure he keeps the flame of his crew's wishes alive.
I think raileigh is the best vice captain because he was the second strongest in the world and he was Rogers strongest in the crew after Roger And he is stronger than Bullet
Rayleigh is the best vice-captain so far. He seemed like he not only took on a similar role as Zoro, as in being able to reign in his wild captain, but he also took on the role that normally falls to Nami in the Strawhats. He kept the crew in line because Rodger just couldn't be bothered to. Edit: Also I'm pretty sure you said Sarkis more times than it was said in the anime😂
My respect for King has gone up quite a bit after the most recent chapter. He honestly might be one of the best. That being said my opinion is that Killer is absolutely the best/my favorite VC. He keeps his captain on track, he absolutely loves his captain and would do anything for him, he's powerful, intelligent, and resourceful. Killer truly is a shining example of a great vice captain.
I agree with the King part, I feel that if this video was recorded pre 1035 he would be S tier atleast. But officially the chapter doesnt release until tomorrow XD
Before watching the ranking I would've said Brook, simply because, so many years later, he still keeps the promise made by his entire crew to reunite with Raboon, and I think that is a sign of absolute loyalty. Killer I think (I emphasize I think) has shown little more than total loyalty to his captain, while Marco and Zoro, who also have absolute loyalty to their respective captain ('nothing happened' scene as irrefutable prove), at the same time have their own goals, beyond that loyalty. Mention aside for Rayleigh, who has also shown total loyalty to his captain, and who could probably defeat everything else in combat.
It depends on your perspective of what the vice captain's role is. For example: Best at maintaining helping the captain reach their dream? Zoro. Best comrade/protector of the crew? Katakuri. Best at taking over the legacy when the captain is gone? Marco. The role seems up to situational interpretation, as are the results. It's like the shortstop position of One Piece pirate culture.
I get what you are saying, but most of the stuff you mentioned can be said about multiple vice captains. For example, you think someone other than zoro wouldn't/didn't help the captain reach their dream, like reileigh, and king. All of them tried/try their best to help their captain achieving their dream of becoming the King of Pirates.
I think Killer is honestly one of the best vice captains from everything we’ve seen. Similar to Zoro, we’ve seen him willing to sacrifice everything for his crew, but unlike Zoro he’s more focused and careful than his captain over being reckless. And also scythe weapons are cool.
Zoro is for me the best vice captain, he is loyal, strong, and a bestfriend to his captain. The one that made me like him more is when he accepted receiving luffy's pain by Bartholomew Kuma.
@@kiss-shotacerola-orionhear1442 haha cmon man let's not go there because it should be obvious everyone knows its usopp yes luffy missed zoro and gave him a hug he loves all his people but deep down even you know one scene is incomparable to the rest of the series..its not him and luffy that had a whole saga centred around their friendship..conflict and resolution like man we all love zoro but usopp and luffy are obviously best friends let's not force the zoro thing its just not true

Before Wano, I hardly knew who Killer was. But after all the stuff we saw him go through, squaring off with Kaidou and Big Mom, demolishes Hawkins for the sake of his captain, and managed to do all of that stuff mentioned before while keeping his cool, I legitimately like Killer more than his own captain, let alone his status as a first mate.
To add his reactions alone to the straw hats tells you a great deal of what he must be like, as the events of wano unfold, I feel like Killer sees how crazy similar his crew and luffy’s crew may be. Both have unpredictable hotheaded captains, with a wild story.
I think Rayleigh is the best vice captain because despite being on “equal” footing with Roger and also receiving the title of king, he stayed behind and did his duty at Sabaody waiting for someone to come, so he still basically followed Roger’s orders for 20 years after his death. Also his strength is unquestionable
@@rodneymcstah2973 The pirate king and the Dark king. Rayleigh could have been a captain of his own crew but he and Roger are equals in that regard despite Roger being his captain.
Brook because he kept the dream, memory and heart of his crew all the way until after death. After his original captain sadly stopped aliving, he took the role of captain and stayed with the crew forever, even after they all didn't exist anymore.
Katakuri is an amazing vice captain. He has a lot of loyalty towards his family/crew and built up an unbeatable persona for the sake of said crew. Not to mention he is the glue that holds the Big Mom Pirates, even moreso than their own captain. He understands his captain's faults extremely well and gives his all for his crew even if sometimes he has to because of his captain.
@@tobiramasenju6290 actually I wouldn't agree. When he fought Kaku he knew some basic fisiks as he knew that Kaku was doing more damage with his rankyaku due to the centrifugal force. Also, he knows Luffy and people in general very well.

Zoro is the best vice captain as he has similar conqueror aspirations to Luffy which only adds to the crews collective will, and is willing to bear all of his captains pain and suffering in order to save him
I kinda expected Jinbe on that list as well. Even though I find it no where stated I thought it heavily implied that he was Fisher Tigers second in command. You know, considering he was the second one who got a bounty, he took over after the captains death and got the shichibukai title offered by the Marines. Clearly Jinbe would be standing in S-Tier seeing how he stood loyal to his captain after his death as well as taking care of the crew, even if some crew members didn't appreciate the help they got.
The bestest of the vice captains for me is Mr King, just because how well he treats Jack and Queen. This man knows how to keep the crew together and the moral high by constantly arguing with his rather massive Companion. Also recent manga events made him easily one of my favorites just for how cruel and fearsome he can be. I mean, in a crew that is dominated by power alone, this guy is what Kaido needs to keep the others in line.
@@natelebisky1207 The first part is not to be taken seriously. My reasoning behind him treating them well is because he argues with Queen, only my last sentence is why I think he is a good vice captain for Kaidos crew specifically

Zoro cause he was hear at the start and has been with us for all of one piece he has just been such a fundamental character in one piece that he really does deserve the spot and in second place we obviously have Rayleigh cause we’ll he is Rayleigh
I think the best Vice Captain has to be Rayleigh not only because he was completely loyal to Roger but also because he’s taken much of his knowledge and used it to train Luffy.
the best vice captian in one piece is zoro because of the way he handles the crew for example when usopp left the straw hats
Vice Captain of the Sun Pirates, Knight of the Sea, Jinbae
I kinda would have to be zoro his loyalty it pretty much unmatched other then maybe the dark king himself
zoro always keeps luffy on the right track and up to luffy standards, no one is cooler or a better vice captain
Zoro because his captain is gonna become the kaizoku oni
if we talking strength Rayleigh but if we talking like who we like more then zoro
You ever think about how Blackbeard just replaced Jesus Burgess with Shiryu after just meeting him in a prison? That's gotta sting.
ikr
Jesus is kind of a clown
Well, considering they all let fate decide their actions, I’m sure Jesus Burgess was okay with it.
Burgess' performance against Sabo proves he didnt deserve that position. Sabo wouldn't beat Shiryu like that, if he can even beat him that is
@@juicyjfan sabo would beat shiryu
Zoro's spot is well justified. What I believe puts him into Rayleigh tier is when he made the deal with Kuma and when he put his foot down when dealing with Usopp leaving the crew. Both of these acts supported Luffy when he was at a weak point physically or mentally and it kept the crew together and strong.

And when he swallowed his pride and begged mihawk to train him so he can protect luffy.

This is like the only channel who does ranking videos that I actually enjoy
his r def more entertaining though i do enjoy tekkings polls as well. but dont hes done one in quite some time though
His are great but bda law exists as well y’a know
I' m going to make a case for the one you actually forgot in your video: Gin from the Krieg Armada.
Yep maybe b tier he deserved
Doesn't that fall under the same thing as Jango for Kuro, Gin not being completely able to call out the BS done by Don Krieg ?
I mean, I get that they were unlucky as fuck to meet Mihawk immediately but still.
And then there's the thing where Gin dying would harm the crew even further. At this point his loyalty towards Don Krieg was effectively a bad thing... for Don Krieg and the rest of the crew.
After everything he did, Gin should be in A-Tier.
Also I think Richie should've made C-Tier.
@@pirateraider1708 strength does matter so I don't think he deserves more than B
Also he had the courage to fight Big Mom alone knowing well that he would loose.
To be honest I don't think the "usopp and buggy is the strongest" funny, just my opinion tho.

I personally like Benn beckman, because in my opinion his character seems so interesting, he’s also shown with a gun but has never actually fired a shot so that says a lot about his strength
yeah he scared kizaru but he could've just been trolling who knows
It's curious because we don't really know his fighting style, he's shown with a gun but yassop is the sniper of the ship
He clubbed a mountain bandit over the head with a rifle
Zoro hands down is the best. When he said the words “we’re not pretending to be pirates, this isn’t a game” really summed up Zoro’s strong foundation to holding his captain accountable after the Ussop turmoil.
When does he say that?
@@harimauindia5775 after enies lobby when luffy was gonna ask ussop to join back.
"Nothing happened"
The best vice captain is Brook, so trusted by the Rumbar Pirates he was easily made captain and put in charge of a crew who just went through a huge tragedy, not to mention even when everyone was dying they trusted him to continue the legacy of the Rumbar Pirates with ease. The way I see it trust plays a huge role for vice captains from both captain and crew.
you’d assume this would happen in the circumstances for most vice captains
The best vice captain from what I've seen personally is Zoro. At the end of Thriller Bark Arc, when zoro decided without hesitation that he would take all the pain from luffy. That really cemented to me that he will keep pushing with everything he has to make Luffy the Pirate King and obtain One Piece.
This
I would say Rayleigh but its too impossible to ignore Zoro's perfect fulfillment of his role. He's always there when Luffy needs him, but that 'nothing happened' moment clearly secured it for me, representing the pure qualities of a Vice Captain.
The best vice captain is perona hahaha with hawkeye. 🤣😂
I really like the fact that Katakuri protects the crew from Big Mom. He's probably the best to the crew rather than the captain
Best vice captain would be Rayleigh. He's extremely strong, knows the true history, and has a really cool epithet as "The Dark King".
Brook is the best due to him carrying the tradition and heart of his crew till death. He carried that role of captain after the first passed and recorded the music that surrounded their identity to make it eternal. Nothing but the best from Brook for his crew
All to fulfill the crew’s promise to Laboon, who is basically the last surviving member of his crew.
Spoiler warning ⚠️:
However Zoro just beat King, effective making him the strongest, on the contrary, Marco does have outside skills while zoro really has none.

@@micah8016 spoiler alert
Yea Zoro did defeat King but let's not forget Marco was handling both King and Queen and his only problem was stamina, they weren't in hybrid form but it was still 2v1.
I think raileigh is the best vice captain because he was the second strongest in the world and he was Rogers strongest in the crew after Roger
And he is stronger than Bullet
Rayleigh is the best vice-captain so far. He seemed like he not only took on a similar role as Zoro, as in being able to reign in his wild captain, but he also took on the role that normally falls to Nami in the Strawhats. He kept the crew in line because Rodger just couldn't be bothered to.
Edit: Also I'm pretty sure you said Sarkis more times than it was said in the anime😂
hell Roger was probably the worst of most of the crew, also from the Oden flashbacks it looks like gaban also had a hand in keeping the crew in line.
Kaido had roger energy for sure this chapter
Raboon lol
It depends on your perspective of what the vice captain's role is. For example:
Best at maintaining helping the captain reach their dream?
It’s definitely Rayleigh. He’s what zoro will be at the end of the series so he’s the best vice captain as of right now
Zoro= is Rayleigh of strawhat
I think Killer is honestly one of the best vice captains from everything we’ve seen. Similar to Zoro, we’ve seen him willing to sacrifice everything for his crew, but unlike Zoro he’s more focused and careful than his captain over being reckless. And also scythe weapons are cool.
fr kid is defenitely slept on
Zoro is for me the best vice captain, he is loyal, strong, and a bestfriend to his captain. The one that made me like him more is when he accepted receiving luffy's pain by Bartholomew Kuma.

Equal footing? When was this said?
Wholeheartedly agreed

Not all of Big Mom Pirates will follow him though
Exactly he deserves higher

Day 29 of me ranking all my needs, and my top 1 need is to see a review video made by Liam about Mr Morj's theory on what is the one piece.
Yes
He treats them well? I’m pretty sure I remember him and queen bullying jack, and I can’t recall anytime he treated queen well.
@@natelebisky1207 The first part is not to be taken seriously.
