Stansen is the giant that was captured and about to be sold. He's the one to notice Rayleigh's use of haki (when he used it to stop Disco from hurting Keimi in the backstage), and is already freed when Rayleigh makes his presence known in the stage. He also covers for the other freed would-be slaves, protecting them while the pirates open a path throught the marine forces. Jean Bart has continuously appeared as part Law's crew since, while Stansen disappeared from the story until the Hajrudin crew cover story.
We need more Bartolomeo scenes. He's hilarious and op at the same time. If he'd also make music he'd be Queen (the character) of the strawhat grand fleet.
Luffy vs Blackbeard would be really underwhelming for the final battle. Oda said the final battle will be the battle that will make marineford look like a child. So maybe a 3- way war between WG luffy and blackbeard.

What I find really interesting about Bellamy cover story is it is about him learning to create jolly Rogers and if you remember dr hiruluks words he says a roger is basically the embodiment of a pirates goals or dreams So basically it means Bellamy went from someone who viewed following dreams as stupid to a man who would create the symbols of people’s dreams
Actually if toei did animate those stories as a "filler" series it would be very cool and would extend the gap between the anime and the manga. I honestly don't get why they don't do that.
I think they tried it early on and what happened is that their viewer ratings dropped. And it's not hard to see why. A lot of fans and lets say someone tuning into one piece for the first time is not going to catch what the story is about if they happen to catch a sidestory that has nothing to do with the main heroes or plot. And it can just be really boring to watch. Like, I used to put Skypeia as my personal least favourite arc because of the middle where the pacing just drags. But no... Dressrosa comfortably takes that spot because it goes on far too many tangents that I get so lost, there's the rebecca story (well, what should've been her story but became Kyros' story), baby 5, senor pink's flashback, diamante... the list goes on. I get that it's an enriched world. But this just gets thrown at you in the middle of what is a mega battle. So, it's good for its plot points. Not so good because Dressrosa has far too many side stories IMO. Basically I just want to focus on the main story. One or two side stories I can follow but not several. So I can see why people would not be so hyped about animated canon filler. (And it is filler. Filler just fills the time even if its canon)

I can see the next arc being a rescue Sabo arc, where Luffy both redeems himself for being unable to save Ace and accomplishes what even Whitebeard was unable to do. Because the grand fleet members know about Sabo so if the Navy attempt to use the same tactic they used to lure Whitebeard out then it’s pretty much guaranteed they would all show up.
There is nothing for Luffy to redeem though. Luffy did save Ace. Ace was just straight up was a dumbass and fought Akainu. He did know Luffy was exousted because of all the shit he went through to rescue him but no. Dumb fuck Ace got almost Luffy killed but sacrifed himself. So Luffy did save Ace.

Even before the video started, I was able to recall where each of the seven divisions' cover stories went with some degree of clarity. I am a manga reader and I am a bit peeved the Grand Fleet's cover stories HAVE NOT been animated in any significant way. We need more scenes of the Tontattas, Bartolomeo's Straw Hat fan club bringing merchandise to different islands, and especially Hajrudin's New Giant Pirates. Elbaf arc, you will happen because the One Piece fans will it so. p.s. Young White Beard's hair is more fabulous than Cavendish's will ever be.

I think the chapter cover stories are the best part about one piece, (as a manga not a story I must clarify). Like it’s a perfect way to tell more side stories without breaking away from the main story. I wish more manga creators do that cuz so far one Piece is the only one and it’s such a smart idea
The only other one that occasionally did something similar was Kubo doing single panels at the end of chapters in volume release. None ever truly tied back into the main plot and some were simple parody or Q&A similar to an SBS

Hey man. Right off the bat, major respect for your temperature being in the celcius teens. I'm considered a polar bear even by Canadian standards and my ideal temperature is 13-20 degrees Celsius. Any less is getting into solid cool that I really love and below zero gets into the fun kinda cold I can endure but don't prefer. As a downside tho I bake around this time of year quite often.
Ideo is based on the titular mecha from the 1980 anime "Ideon" which is created by legendary anime writer/director Yoshiyuki Tomino who is more famous for creating Gundam and is seen as the founding father of the mecha genre as we know it. Oda is known to have watched Gundam growing up IIRC and so he probably watched Ideon as well. Ideon also serves as a major inspiration for a certain Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we next see the fleet when Luffy finally has to fight Shanks given Bart kinda started a conflict with them already I could see that being the catalyst for Shanks knowing he and Luffy will really need to duke it out for the one-piece soon enough.

I think what makes Orlumbus story deceptively interesting, is that his actions are inadvertently creating islands that are aligning to Luffy and the Straw Hats. Together with Bartolomeo, Orlumbus is the only Pirate that has started expanding Luffy's territory. And while Bartolomeo is doing it on purpose. Orlumbus is doing it by mistake. And while Bartolomeo is doing it with violence. Orlumbus is doing it with kindness. The opinion about Straw Hat Luffy is going to polarized depending on which Island was conquered. And its hilarious. Because Luffy has no idea all of this is going on XD.
Am I weird for saying that Bellamy is my favorite One Piece characters? I really want to see his character evolve in a solo series. To me he really feels like the "Vegeta" type, he was extremely certain on his beliefs and his pride but then was completely crushed by Luffy following up with yet another humiliating conflict in Dressrosa. If they make an anime special about the Straw-hats grand fleet, I hope they focus on him the most. Also, I really think Bellamy has the most opportunity for growth strength-wise. His spring-spring powers could mimic a lot of the abilities of Luffy and in some ways (with some creativity) could even be cooler.

spoiler warning! I think that the grand fleet will appear after the wano arc because of luffy s near death experience after kaido threw him into the sea. The members of the grand fleet will notice that luffy is in danger through the vivre carde that they possess and they will start looking for him, but they will not be quick enough to partake in the wano arc.

Hey man. Right off the bat, major respect for your temperature being in the celcius teens. I'm considered a polar bear even by Canadian standards and my ideal temperature is 13-20 degrees Celsius. Any less is getting into solid cool that I really love and below zero gets into the fun kinda cold I can endure but don't prefer. As a downside tho I bake around this time of year quite often.

Ideo is based on the titular mecha from the 1980 anime "Ideon" which is created by legendary anime writer/director Yoshiyuki Tomino who is more famous for creating Gundam and is seen as the founding father of the mecha genre as we know it. Oda is known to have watched Gundam growing up IIRC and so he probably watched Ideon as well. Ideon also serves as a major inspiration for a certain Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we next see the fleet when Luffy finally has to fight Shanks given Bart kinda started a conflict with them already I could see that being the catalyst for Shanks knowing he and Luffy will really need to duke it out for the one-piece soon enough.
I don't think Shanks will think of Bartolomeo as an intruder, but more like a crazed fanboy of his adoptive son
well that's just sad. you missed talking about Stansen some more since we saw him even before the Big Mom flashback, in fact before the timeskip even. he was the giant saved by Rayleigh and somewhat the Straw Hats back at Saobody. i guess people forget cause he grew out his beard and mustache. the man looks like a rightful Viking now.

I think what makes Orlumbus story deceptively interesting, is that his actions are inadvertently creating islands that are aligning to Luffy and the Straw Hats.
Together with Bartolomeo, Orlumbus is the only Pirate that has started expanding Luffy's territory.
And while Bartolomeo is doing it on purpose. Orlumbus is doing it by mistake.
And while Bartolomeo is doing it with violence. Orlumbus is doing it with kindness.
The opinion about Straw Hat Luffy is going to polarized depending on which Island was conquered. And its hilarious. Because Luffy has no idea all of this is going on XD.
Am I weird for saying that Bellamy is my favorite One Piece characters? I really want to see his character evolve in a solo series. To me he really feels like the "Vegeta" type, he was extremely certain on his beliefs and his pride but then was completely crushed by Luffy following up with yet another humiliating conflict in Dressrosa.
If they make an anime special about the Straw-hats grand fleet, I hope they focus on him the most.
Also, I really think Bellamy has the most opportunity for growth strength-wise. His spring-spring powers could mimic a lot of the abilities of Luffy and in some ways (with some creativity) could even be cooler.

The members of the grand fleet will notice that luffy is in danger through the vivre carde that they possess and they will start looking for him, but they will not be quick enough to partake in the wano arc.

Actually the shipwright of the giant warrior pirates is also the giant that was saved from slavery by Rayleigh in sabaoby arc
