Been carrying the original and now updated KS2 since I saw your original video. Has everything I need in a small form fitting factor (keep a small pair of pliers in the fifth pocket).
I used to carry the KS2 at work, but recently switched to the SOG mini pint and a small tin can that holds a variety of 1/4" bits and a very short magnetic drill tip holder (1/4"). Only thing I miss about the KS2 are those bad ass scissors. Those things cut through anything and roxon's phantom also is completely unmatched when it comes to portable scissors. Sadly the roxon flex scissors fall waaaaay short of what they've done with their previous tools.
Have owned the Roxon ks2e for 5 months and have used everything including can opener and glass breaker. Tools do sometimes stick but not something that bothers me. Wish pocket clip were half an inch longer and a higher profile. Great tool.
i have carried my ks2e fro 3 weeks since i got it. I clipped in mg pocket and it stay there firmly. The three tools on the opener side deploy and snap in easily without any snag like your in the video. On the other hand my most used tool is the scissor but after i cut a couple of 5mm plastic zip tie, i have some small nicks. Overall i like the tool as my edc.
Absolutely love the channel and all multi-tools !!! Nothing beats the surge in my opinion, pound for pound. It’s the heaviest of duty multi’s in my opinion. But I still like them all, even the not so great ones are cool to me.
Hi there. You oompared it to the Gerber Lockdown. Wouldn’t it be closest to the Victorinox Huntsman? They both have blade, Scissors, saw, screwdriver, can opener, tweezers. I think the Roxon is better for urban while the huntsman is better for the woods in your pocket.
I got the roxon because of your videos I like it used the bit set T6 exactly the size I needed and it twisted… dunno why they would even send it with the tool great video by the way And it sheared off the tip of the bit
I bought this after watching your other vid. There's one major gripe I had with the tool and that's that it felt like every tool on it just had a different way to lock it. One thing you had to lock it this way, the other tool had to lock it some other way, the other tool needed you to click this and that. So yeah, overall I wasn't a fan of that. They should have made the locking system the same throughout.
I got mime 2 days ago from Amazon. 1 day Prime shipping. The scissors cut really well. But i already damaged them cutting a thick nylon revolver holster. Someone else on amazon said they'l damaged their cutting open a plastic package.
The steel on the other parts of the tool have also been upgraded from the standard version. On the original, the steel on the scissors, drivers, etc. were 3cr13, according to their Amazon store. 🤓
Mr. Kincaid, I like the tool but the big scissors are overkill. On another issue. Do you know where I can get some silicone, rubber or G10 aftermarket scales for my GOAT multitool, if they exist? I want to look to see if that's something I'd be interested in. I want something that adds grip but won't ruin the stain finish. I like black GOAT you and Mr. Andrew Fett have
I'm not sure about the scales. I know a lot of knife people make their own scales so maybe a local knife maker near you could fashion you some. Etsy has a lot of cool things sometimes the sellers will custom tailer for the buyer as well.
I want to buy one. i think the saw is a weird choice, but it looks awesome otherwise. It's just a bit short for a saw. Woulda loved a nice big file or something instead, personally.
As I said under a previous video, I bought the ks2 elite based on your videos and I love it. But I have two issues: 1) the clip shouldn’t be on the same side as the the thumb stud. Every time I take it out of my pocket I have to rotate it to fire open the knife. 2) The thumb stud isn’t removable and its position makes sharpening difficult. I can sharpen the entire edge but it’s a pain to find the perfect angle to avoid that thumb stud. I do use the file on my finger nails and it works well. Also the bottle opener doesn’t snag on my unit. I can’t see carrying a SAK again unless they update their blade steel. It would be nice if Roxxon made the whole unit .5-1 cm longer so that they could fit a slightly longer blade in it.
I won’t do a multi tool unless it has locking tools. I’ve tried gerber arm bar at work and using the screw diver was infuriating and it was I front of a tenant which made it worse. It kept folding down. I switched to a leather t2 but the tools are fairly short and you don’t get many. Just ordered a ROXON and am very curious to see how it does. I actually work in the trades so I know the difference between a little gimmicky piece of shit and a real tool the gerbers are for weekend warriors imo. No such thing as perfect multi tool yet
This is kinda funny, the ruler is actually divided into tenths of an inch instead of eights, so you can't even measure nuts and bolts with it. Apparently the designer had never actually seen an inch ruler lol.. it doesn't start from the end so it's not really a depth guage either.. it's a cool tool tho, but the saw is an odd choice imo. I'd make it a flat blade and turn the can opener part into a hook cutter/package opener.
D2 on an inexpensive multi-tool or knife is not an upgrade. Everyone thinks they're getting the Old School premium D2 from back in the day. Without stopping to wonder how all of a sudden it seems that D2 became affordable enough to put on such cheap tools or knives. Well, it didn't. what's being used is a budget version of that Old School D2. One that is ridiculously hard and brittle, and very much prone to snapping in half if you treated like you would older premium D2. Sorry, but a premium blade steel does not all of a sudden, magically overnight become an inexpensive budget-friendly blade steel without some shenanigans taking place.

I have Ks2e - no issues. And i adore this mid-position knife stopper, that makes users not to cut their fingers while closing the knife
Does anyone's Blade lock up solid or not... mine DOES NOT !!!! Mine has WOBBLE and there is a rattle from the lock part... CRAP !!!!!
I'm a big fan of these multi-tools. I give them as gifts. Also a big thumbs-up to the ROXON M4 10 in 1!

Great to hear it's working good!
It even cuts 1 mm textolite pcb with no issues
I just got one of these and it is damned impressive for the price. Some of the best scissors on any multitool and I love the D2 blade.
Pretty cool that D2 blade!
Absolutely love the channel and all multi-tools !!! Nothing beats the surge in my opinion, pound for pound. It’s the heaviest of duty multi’s in my opinion. But I still like them all, even the not so great ones are cool to me.

I agree, no matter how hard I look, I can't find anything that betters the Surge!

Good call. Probably you're right due to toolset. There is an interesting visual similarity with the Lockdown.

Really? That's really unfortunate.
@hvacbudget8600 Hopefully they fix that issue. Other then that I think it's perfect.

Updated to D2?
@@trowawayacc Just the blade is D2. The rest of the tool is 5Cr15 according to Amazons description.
FYI, my Roxon KS2E works like a charm. I am pretty sure Roxon will exchange it.
Can the scissors cut tight zip ties okay?
BEST TOOL EVER FOR THE MONEY NO QUESTION 👍🏻

For 38 bucks with d2 hello leatherman is anyone home ? 😮😊
Hello McFly . . Anyone home McFly?!
Got mine today but my stud/button to fan out the tools has some rattle in it. Do you know how to fix it?
Not sure. I'll have to see if mine has the same issue.
Hello guys has anyone got a slight rattle from the tool lock release ? It has a slight movement when you touch it ? Appreciate the help 👍🏻
I have a little rattle in mine. I think even the Roxon Flex has a bit as well. I think it is a bit loose by design. Not much but a little rattle.
I want to buy one. i think the saw is a weird choice, but it looks awesome otherwise. It's just a bit short for a saw. Woulda loved a nice big file or something instead, personally.
Can you remove the pocket clip on the roxon?
It looks like you can remove the screw and the pocket clip.
As I said under a previous video, I bought the ks2 elite based on your videos and I love it.

Great idea!
Does anyomes Blade lock up solid or not... mine isn't!!!! At all.... and there is a rattle from the lock part... CRAP !!!!!
have you hear of "Rush Deer" multitools?
I hadn't. Looked them up. Maybe rebadged Suipro?
Can anyone tell me if this easily taken apart and put back together?
Not sure. I haven't attempted this yet.
I wish it had emergency belt cutters instead of the saw.
Those scissors will cut as much belt as you want. The saw is a win for me
@@roytore5062 yeah, but in a car crash(the scenario that alwys come to mind when i see the glass breaker) good luck unfolding them underwater 😵
Don’t forget about the tweezers in the handle of the scissors
Check out 3:00 min mark. It's a cool tool.
cool
Try to cut adherent band aid...

this is not a new multitool ROXON I bought this last autumn on aliexpress
The steel is upgraded
@@roytore5062I repeat for noobs,I bought last autumn 2023 with upgraded D2 steel,it's not new

@@therealdarcman
Yes, I do. Didn't realize it was D2 until after it arrived. Used it for awhile, not impressed.
So would you prefer the standard ks2?
Like most Gerber MT's great idea, poorly executed!
roxon is way awkward to open and use never should have bought it
