Thank you Tory, will you please do a video on over active bladder, especially at night, I get up way too many times, totally disturbs my sleep!Thank you so much
Good info & well presented as usual. Can you do a video on how to prepare for a hysterectomy & what to do after, please? I'm considering getting one but so scared of what it may do to my body & the recovery. Thank you.
Absolutely, that's a great suggestion and I've added it to my requests list 🧡 in the interim, getting a pelvic PT on board to help you pre- and post-op may be beneficial! In the same way you may want to prepare your quad muscle before a total knee replacement, preparing the pelvic floor before a pelvic surgery can improve healing time and surgical outcomes! Then, usually 6ish weeks post-op pending on your surgeon, seeing a pelvic PT for rehab can help better protect the surgical outcome, decrease pain, and restore function! I'm so glad it was interesting! And you're so kind, thank you for asking. I am doing SO much better nowadays. My baseline is normal, and my symptoms only seem to come up during ovulation and when I do a lot of impact activity (running, namely). My boundaries that I have to operate within are getting wider and wider, and I truly feel that it is only a matter of time until I am fully back at my baseline. I'm so excited and, at the same time, the shifts pose mental and emotional challenges that I didn't expect. Regardless, I practice my gratitudes every day, and once I am fully on the other side I am SO motivated to help others navigating a similar situation. Permanent nerve damage is a real thing, but this is condition is wildly edit: misunderstood* and I FIRMLY believe it is curable more often than it's not.
@@PelvicEmpowerment So glad you feel better. I do have pudendal neuralgia problem myself :( after three awful months and multiple test I finally saw a physiotherapist specialized in pelvis floor. She really helped me showing me how to relaxe my pelvis with exercises . Now after 1 1/2 year I still have flare up pain when I sit for more than 15 min or if I do a little too much. I am 67 and I know with age the recovering is lot slower. I am very positive and appreciate all little happiness in my live. Lot of gratitude as well specially for the wonderful husband I have. I wish you the best .😍 French Canadian 🇨🇦
@@Jismag1 Oh my gosh, I am SO sorry it took 3 months for you to get the proper diagnosis and find the right provider, but I am glad that you've at least had some improvement. Recovery does slow with age, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. I love hearing that you're a positive and appreciative person. I am a big believer in the mind-body connection and, while I also believe not everyone can heal with mind-body interventions alone pending on their mechanism of injury, I do feel very strongly that the mindstate can physically impact the body. It's amazing that you're able to sink into the positives with gratitude and appreciation for your wonderful partner - they can make all the difference, at least Keify has for me. I am wishing you all of the best, too, and Canada?! How cool 🧡
Torri, sorry, I was not sure where to post this. Somewhere (which I cannot find) you mention 'caregiving for Keith'. And there was no detail. Can you direct me to the post where you discuss it ( with a link ref) and/or do a quick explanation. I so wish your family well. I am sorry I did not keep up enough. Thanks in advance.
You're so kind, don't worry at all! Keith is healthy - what you read has to do with a Q&A that we're creating here on TH-cam where he'll be answering questions about his experience caregiving. You can read more about our intention behind creating that Q&A here: th-cam.com/channels/IEbpR8WRMFLKO4jSylhB1A.htmlcommunity?lb=UgwseosmWNk31_uWVvB4AaABCQ But we're both doing just fine, where our only health-related news is that of my continued healing, no bad news! Thank you so much for checking in and for your well wishes, means a lot to both of us 🧡
