Great to see all those new plants that are made from cuttimgs. I know you said that you sale the cuttings. Would like to get some Japanese maples to see if i can get them aclimated to my area.

Congratulations Jonny! You're really branching out (no pun intended) and getting things ready for a selling season! There's no time like the present, right? I can't help but to propagate plants in my garden every year. They're only for my yard (unless someone asks for something specific), but I set up a propagation tote at the beginning of June, and typically start cuttings of the plants I know I want more of right away. As the days go by, if I happen to break a branch of a perennial, or need to prune some perennials to reshape a plant, everything that comes off immediately gets planted in the propagation tray (after preparing it correctly, of course). After about 6 or 7 weeks, they go directly to the garden to have as much time as possible to continue developing roots. The growing process is so rewarding!
I don't know much about the legalities of selling propagated plants, but I wanted to let you know there is a new Lavender on the market from Proven Winners, and it's called "Sensational" (Launched 2021). It pretty much looks like the most perfect Lavender plant you can imagine, in terms of balance, height and just overall shape. (3ft X 3ft T and W) The stems are very strong, and the lavender flowers themselves are larger than usual, making the blooms wider than the typical pencil width. It is an improved version of "Phenominal" Lavender, (Launched 2012). I already have many cuttings of it growing. I mention it because we always want to propagate our most perfect plants in order to create clones, and these look perfect to me! I'm guessing there may be restrictions on propagating plants with a patent, but wanted to tell you about it anyway.
You have your work cut out for you, but I'm sure you love it, as I do. Congrats again, Jon. Best Wishes for all good things on this new journey!

Thanks! I am glad you are able to enjoy propagating as well. Propagating plants that have a plant patent is not something I can legally do unless I pay for licensing rights from the patent holder (which may be worth it for some varieties in the future).
