      I bought the same lavender tree from Rona last year. I left on my door step all winter long and the tree branches looks dead so I just took them all off by cutting them. So now it just looks like a stick in a pot. Will it grow back or did I just kill it ?

      What do you do with your plants during the cold & winter months?
      hopefully this is still going to notify you of comments/be read even tho it's 2 years later....
      {I was in New Lisbon, about an hour either way from Madison & La Cross, Eu Claire, 30ish from Sparta } & my experience was spring/summer was about 4 months, beautiful weather at a gorgeous 70°+ with snow still in the ground, & 8 months of winter & snow through-out the year😉 this was my favorite part of WI, going to the water park with crazy inches of snow in the ground
      in bikinis bathing suits & shorts & tanks! It was my favorite part outside of going over the glass floor in castle in the rock/seeing the worlds largest (indoor?) pony hurricane 😉!¡!
      I just got into gardening/growing & harvesting herbs & plants so I'm finding older videos & posts so idk if anyone gets notifications on or looks at comments from 1 year or more....

    Word of advice for everyone, take multiple cuttings, don't try with 1 or 2 and wait the 3-4 weeks to find out. Be more generous, I've never had great luck with cloning mine in the past but I have gotten a few, I wasted a good bit of time only doing 2-3 only for them not to make it.
    Around mid spring I like to trim mine back a bit as I normally get a second bloom, during this time I'm able to get 10-15 good cuttings, and while I don't have a great record with it brute forcing it is kinda what I have to do and I'm getting a few each year. I always feel like I'm doing it wrong, I like to learn more, but yeah my advice would be to take as many cuttings as you reasonably can.
    The clones make wonderful gifts for family members.

      Someone made me feel silly for getting excited about lavender "trees" a couple weeks ago- I was condescendingly told that it's a TOPIARY.
      So now I'm here to do the same to you.
      😂😂😂
      They are so cool!

      @down-to-earth-mystery-school 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Keep in mind that the stem of the lavender tree might be from another species. The garden center may have let the plants grow up u til full size, then cut them into topiary form, or they may have grafted the lavender plant onto the stem of an apple or other tree. Grafting means slicing into the bark of both species, then pressing them together, putting tape around the wound and allowing them to grow together. If you take a cutting below the graft point, you may not have a lavender
