The fact that stormtroopers in this show were just used as cannon fodder really agitates me a lot. Disney expects their characters to come out looking like badasses by killing a bunch of stormtroopers (who are stupid because Disney took one scene in the original movie too far) without any stakes or risks to the characters because you gave Mando invincible armor and all the others just have way too much plot armor. You see Mando take a ton of hits, but wait! He’s got beskar and the other characters just stand there but all the shots miss. And yes, I know the show would be boring if everyone was dead, but I at least want to see some of the other characters get hurt or close to an actual situation where they just can’t blast their way through. So please, give the stormtroopers the props they deserve, and let us see how lethal and dangerous they actually are.
Just a couple of scenes with secondary characters having to be carried out because they got hit or maybe having to be in a Bacta tank for an episode with worried medical staff around would help. At this moment there is no tension no matter how many differently painted Stormtroopers they create.
The beskar thing isn’t even really Disney, beskar has always been that super strong impervious armor, and it made sense on how he acquired it. The stormtroopers in a post imperial galaxy are expected to be worse, we rarely see them with actual commanding officers, implying they are really either mercenaries or stormtroopers who don’t know how to do anything else. I mean, they wouldn’t even really know how to fight mandalorians because they haven’t existed as a threat for years. I mean, Mandalorians have been seen as unstoppable killing machines by fans and legends lore, so why is it when Disney does it, fans have a problem?
I love the mandalorian, every guest star, cgi scenes and also the lore but one I find disappointing is that they drenched mando in plot armour and made villains incompetent. They made beaker too powerful and it made no sense. The point of a antagonist is to pose a severe threat against a protagonist. They cross the line for me when they made death troopers weak

It’s really sad (from an in universe perspective). It really shows how far the empire has fallen! The stormtroopers use to be the best of the Empire, now their just target practice.
When you know what the armor does in lore, more than half of these stormtroopers are actually still alive. Just brutally beat up and most likely injured.
However they might die from such injuries without medical attention, because most of them were left there to rot or the place they were downed blew up. In a battle senario the Empire could recover the injured troopers after the battle and give them medical attention and fix em up. But here I do think the vast majority weren't killed by getting shot, however they were still left behind and likely died hours later. Sadly.
I always wonder why non of those trooper use the thermal detonator on the back of their armor lik a grenade would be hand against enemies especially when ur aim isn't the best.

Nah killing characters is not boring. Rogue one is my favourite Star Wars movie. Everyone died in it
The beskar thing isn’t even really Disney, beskar has always been that super strong impervious armor, and it made sense on how he acquired it.
The Remnant guys on the other hand are fanatics who have been fighting one long uninterrupted war for a decade straight, they really shouldn't be ALL be incompetent clowns after that.
@@SoManySkinks ik but im just coping. I tell myself that and then dont think about it anymore lmao
@@SoManySkinks that goofy slow death trooper room clear makes me cringe so hard so i headcannon that gideon just gave some randos the armour so hed have bark

I am just surprised that the manufacturer of Stormtrooper armour never got sued
My heart is in pain seeing these poor soldiers die. I thank their sacrifices and hope their sacrifices don't go in vain.
F for the Valiant Stormtroopers.
Don't sympathize with Space Nazis!
@@turboking9238 what is nazi like about them? They are the legitimate army of the galaxys government, all either clones who were born into the service or enlisted with families and childeren to defend against pirates, criminal syndicates and terror groups...
99% if the time they are simple garrison troops or forces that counter rebel attacks.
They arent commiting genocide, invading planets or commiting atrocities.
@@chromicm6686 Really, they aren't committing genocide? What would you call Alderaan, or the Lasat species, or the Jedi, or Mandalor?
@@turboking9238 the jedi were wiped out by vader and the clones after trying to assasinate the chancelor, not even a stretch thats exactly what happened and even then they werent compleatly destroyed, some joined the empire.
Alderan and mandalore were both in open rebellion to the empire and had been fighting rebel insurgencies and terror attacks for almost a decade (the mandolorians had been acting as terrorists and criminals during the republic years and murdered their loyalist mandolorian brothers along with the imperal garrisons there in a coup attempt)
(Alderan literaly attacked scarif in a terror attack for the plans, so its quite poetic that they were the weapons test target. in both cases they were obliterated by the navy, not the stormtroopers and frankly had it coming.
The lasat were created for rebels and therefore should not be cannon, they also happen to be furries so deserve to be wiped out, just like you.
@@chromicm6686 How's that Death Star treating you, oh wait both of them blew up lmao. Last I checked you bucket heads could hardly fight off the natives of Endor, is that why you're sour?
If not for Vader you would be helpless against the Rebel Force's. You think you're precious Emperor cares for you, he doesn't care who you are, only what you do.
You lose, I have spoken.
What’s sad is that they had so many opportunities to put in the Wilhelm scream for a death and they didn’t
Sometimes I wonder what those stormtroopers were thinking when they enlisted into the corps.
The Galactic civil war would have ended within 6 months if the Mandolorian gang came together. 😂
I know people either joined up to have a job that pays, to maybe escape from a home they see as crap, might actually believe the lies of the Empire and its remnants, and maybe other similar reasons. Hell, maybe throw in some conscription too.
This is something that annoys me. Why can’t the empire be a legitimate threat in these movies. They are supposed to be the villain, they should be a threat
@@oiupoiuoiu So it’s better to make the villains looks like incompetent
@@oiupoiuoiu then make a bunch of throwaway grunts/jobbers for the heroes.
@@mackenziecarver6807 Stormtroopers lost to a bunch of sentient teddy bears. I'm sorry but they're trash as infantry.
The Imperial Fleet and the death stars are a threat. Stormtroopers are cannon fodder and imperial police.
@@oiupoiuoiu That is a very lazy excuse
I love how stormtroopers eventually start hittiny their targets, it just then makes the protagonists invincible.

I forgot how brutal the first couple episodes are
wow

We need Din's armor to finally cave to the constant blaster bolts, since he has not the means nor methods to repair it. Then, there will actually be stakes to several heavy repeating blasters hitting square in the chest.
