    Quite the rip off, 82 euros for a simple box with a thermo/hygrometer!

      That does seem high. It's significantly cheaper here.

      In my country is’s €27. You can make your own with a Cerial box. (The box shown here is a cerial box which is modified). As long as it is a large enough box to hold a spool.
      I use small storage box with holds 4 spools.

      Just buy a filament dryer that you can print out of. I have one from Eibos and it works really well. It's not overly expensive and you don't have to DIY anything. Once filament takes on water putting it in a drybox won't do anything. Actively drying the filament while you're printing just makes sense. It means you can put the filament away dry after you're done printing. For this I have a large airtight storage box where I keep all my spools so they don't degrade.
