    - I actually took a deep moment of reflexion before placing the Erebado's early development in UC115. I initially considered that the suit was very likely developed closer to UC120, considering it was one of those early models developed when the Jupiter Empire "started drawing plans to conquer Earth", which is generally assumed to be around UC120, with Crux Dogatie's mental state snapping around the time Tetenith was 2-3 years old (so UC118, since she is said to be 15 in Crossbone, but could actually be even older as she later stopped physically aging after 18 ).
With UC117 being an established date for the Berga Dalas development , I finaly settled for UC115 as it was more appropriate with recent additions to the lore, with Chapter 1 of Crossbone Love and Peace (UC103) and F90 Fastest Formula (UC115) showing multiple Jupiter Empire agents (Damian Karras and Fonse Kagatie) already scheming on the behalf of the Empire, and being quite active with their own Jovian derived machines (Karras Mono-Arm and the Bolinoak Sammah)
    - As someone once pointed out, there is no tangible proof that all the Erebado's production was stationed in Io...except there is. 24 of them are identified during the Assault on Io during the original Crossbone Gundam manga, and X11 mechanical files later enforced that "only 20 or so were produced" which confirms that the entire production line was indeed there.
That's one of the things I like the most about covering Gundam lore. It is far more than just vomiting detailed content that someone else wrote, and more about being able to connect the dots together between different stuff.
    - There is still a possibility that the Crossbone Vanguard actually met some Erebados before Io and that these units survived the previous encounters with the pirates. However not only it is unlikely that they would suffer 0 casualties if they had already encountered the Crossbone Vanguard, but their presence on Io was only because Crux Dogatie original biobrain was located there.
Considering the Erebados were there as part of their Royal Guard duty, and that the attack on Io was the first window the Crossbone Vanguard had found to strike Dogatie directly, it is thus unlikely the pirates could have encountered Erebados elsewhere.

I had actually wondered where the Jupiter Empire MS, and Crossbone Gundam MS in general, were in terms of performance compared to units from other U.C. factions, so it was quite amusing to see that their earlier units might have been more on par with the OG CBV units all along.
Actually makes you wonder why Mars Zeon didn’t have miniaturized MS when both the CBV and Jupiter Empire were well underway producing theirs. Perhaps they were waiting to capture the F90 to use it as a starting point.
In the case of the Erebado, I find fitting that a machine IRL based on a creature uses a claw arm with in-built weapons (like many amphibious MS), but above all, I like that it has a set of both beam and physical weapons to deal with enemies as the situation requires.
The signature weapon of the CBV, the shot lancer, exemplifies the concept of newer MS using older type weapons in an era where beam weapons (and even beam shields) are common as a consideration to avoid causing catastrophic damage next to colonies and other important locations.
At first I wondered why the Jagd Doga had that weird beam saber with heat bayonet weapon, but now I think it was to give it an option to strike an enemy’s reactor without blowing it up.
I think many defensive use MS, like the Shy-Tarn, ignore such concept. In fact, a Zoloat with a gatling gun would be a better choice for engaging MS next to Zanscare’s colonies, which I wonder might be the actual origin of such out of place weapon.
By the way, I have commented on it before, but aren’t Jovian MS supposed to have greater thrust to deal with Jupiter’s gravity? The idea had been played with since the Messala and Jamey Fin with the larger booster were said to have more powerful thrusters to deal with that particular situation.
Personally, I do like most odd looking MS like this one, as well as some of the weird designs from Zanscare and Vagan MS from Gundam Age, so more videos on them are always welcomed!

Technically Mars Zeon had mini MS as well, just not the know how on how to produce them. We knew that aside the F90 Mars Zeon, they used gifted Den'anZon and Berga Dalas from the CV in the UC Senki games (F90FF backed rhat down by showing them using DenanZons with the monoeye cover mask). They also used stolen Tigris IIs, which were also mini MS

@@gundamfacts I always assumed that the 4 models of CBV MS that were listed for that game (XM-01 through XM-04) were actual CBV units reinforcing Mars Zeon: didn't know that they were outright given to them. Do makes you wonder why they bothered making Charles Rochester customized RF Gelgoog when the Berga Dallas (if not all XM series units provided to them) had higher performance than the end result.
Also reminded me that the OMS-90R which has this obscure mention of Mars Zeon preparing the arm plugs for a beam shield, but not having the technology, which at the time seemed as a nod to the CBV only ever providing them a single beam shield that was fitted on the lone OMS-14SRF two years later.
All that being said, a more direct relationship between the two factions makes the existence of the XMA-02 Ebirhu Doga more understandable.
Speaking of CBV units in odd situations, what's the story of the Dark Tiger squadron? The wikia suggest they appear before the actual Cosmo Babylonia Conflict, yet some of their units (ex: XM-05B Berga Balus & XM-07G Vigna Zirah) seem more advanced than the MS fielded during the later conflict, the Berga Balus being the improved version of the Berga Giros (itself an upgrade over the Berga Dalas), while the Vigna Zirah has VSBRs, making it feel like the equivalent of the ZMT-S37S Zanspine: a machine that could go toe-to-toe with the titular Gundam... except that the Zanspine was a case of being built too late to actually do that, while the Vigna Zirah appears before the events of F91.
PD: the plot thickens! Looking through some images of the Dark Tiger squadron MS, one version of their red XM-01 De’nan Zon actually has a visor cover similar to the mono eye version that the Mars Zeon remnants used. Coincidence or is it suggesting some connection here?
