A dude from Chicago set up shop in Utah, called his place Cubby's and is raking in the dough. It was the first place I got a Italian Beef sandwich and I instantly fell in love. How does the country not know about this like the Philly cheese steak or French Dip (LA's contribution to the sandwich world) sandwiches?
Was in Chicago this past week and had the trifecta of deep dish pizza, hot dogs and the hot beef sandwich. Kinda hate being back in Dallas now. At least we’ve got good bbq.
mannnn some flashbacks to this place, my uncle and I used to get up every Friday just to get a beef from Tony's and head Downtown to walk around the parks. bellissimo!!
The combo with natural gravy is fantastic!!! I used to get it with mozzarella but about 20 yrs ago Tony told me to try it with provolone, been eaten it that way ever since. Amazing!!! Also the breakfast sandwiches are excellent, though hard to finish. Beats Portillo's and Al's hands down.
Never had Tony's, but to beat Al's or Portillo's is a really tall order. We also have Mr. Beef and of course Johnny's in Elmwood Park. We're lucky to have so many great Beef joints. It's rare that I come out of a beef joint disappointed. I think my least favorite is Buona. I'd gladly eat a Buona Beef any time, but to me, I find their sandwiches to be slightly too salty for my taste. This stuff is all subjective too. Any day is a great day for a Chicago style beef sangwich in my world.
@user-fv5yo5fi5c Like you said, it's all subjective. I really haven't had any bad beef sandwiches in or around the city. If you're ever on the south side give Tony's a shot, of course I grew up on it so I'm sure I'm a bit biased 😉 😅
When I'd have an extra night in the Chicago area, mainly outskirts, where our terminal was, I liked eating the Italian beef, never had this and looks amazing, but those were some kind of excellent sandwiches
I never had a Tony's Italian Beef when I lived in Chicago. The egg and pepper sandwich sounds interesting. I can see having one with the spicy vegetables. I miss having these. Portillo's is near my old home in Chicago. I found I liked their sandwich better than Al's.
Tony's is THE BEST beef in the world hands down no contest. Everytime I see a tv show talking about Chicago's best beef / hot peppers and they mention Al's I cringe. No F****ing way. Make sure to eat it over your fries. The best desert is beef seasoned fries. Also the breaded steak is awesome.
Military, I'm in the USAF. I have lived in Montana, Korea, Italy, and now England. All these places have had great food but I really miss the Italian beef.
Love it cause it’s not shredded like the cheapskate restaurants that sell it that how it should be good flavor and sliced not chopped and the pepper egg it’s a must 👍
I never understood why people leave Chicago for the extremely overrated South? I am from Nashville and moved to Merrillville, Indiana and I love it! Northwest Indiana is pretty much Chicago’s Suburb! I NEVER want to go back! I can’t stand Nashville such an overrated city!
My Son has eaten at This Place and other so called Roast beef Places in Chicago and said they are Ok We get Roast Beef from a Meat Market that slow Roast their own Beef and if you order over 3Lbs they give you a Jar of the Pan dripping to make Au jus they also set up a Package with Roast Beef Provolone Cheese and Club Rolls the Beef is So Rare sometimes its Blood Red and Sliced thin and so Tender it Melts in your Mouth Philly Has the Best Food
Tony's beefs 4/10 at best, hands down food was aight I had better flavor beefs at other beef restaurants not jus a greasy sandwich beef Tony's serve season fries is the only thing Tony's had that had some sort of flavor....
Being from the Chicago area it really pisses me off that you can't get food like this anywhere else! I need to move back.
latdogg85 no kidding.
I can't even find Chicago anything in Corpus Christi. HELP!
latdogg85 You can get a lot of legit deep dish and Italian beef in Indianapolis, but I agree there’s nothing like eating in Chicago !

Necesito ir a comer uno de esos lonches. Se ve delicioso. ¿qué pieza de carne será?
When I'd have an extra night in the Chicago area, mainly outskirts, where our terminal was, I liked eating the Italian beef, never had this and looks amazing, but those were some kind of excellent sandwiches
I like both ideas. Fries with au jus and the pepper-egg sandwich. Will have to try those.
Try a large yellow raw onion whole. capers and boiled lettuce on top.
The best meal you will ever have
Tony is the best Fantastic Italian beef 🍖 sandwich 🥪💯

I never had a Tony's Italian Beef when I lived in Chicago. The egg and pepper sandwich sounds interesting. I can see having one with the spicy vegetables. I miss having these. Portillo's is near my old home in Chicago. I found I liked their sandwich better than Al's.
Um, suddenly it's like the Godfather up in there. Where's all the usual crew?

What kind of beef were they using for the sandwich?

They should do a italian beef off if they don't already.

What do they dip it in ???
Who eats an Italian beef not dipped?
That looks amazing! I wish they had places like that here in England. I need to move back to the Chicago area....
What made you go on the other side of the ocean
Military, I'm in the USAF. I have lived in Montana, Korea, Italy, and now England. All these places have had great food but I really miss the Italian beef.

Please Would you add English subtitles to your videos?
Wish I had one in my city .....😘😍🌭🌮
Did he say soda we say pop in Chicago what's up with that Lol
Come to loussaine with this food plzzzzzz
Tony's must put at least a pound of beef on their "big beef" sammiches. Delicious! I only have a small criticism: their giardiniera is very mild.
GREAT ITALIAN BEEF !
I miss those sandwiches!
(From Philly) If I had to choose between the two, I would take this any day over a Chicago deep dish pizza...
GREAT PEPPER AND EGG SANDWICH !
Yeah I definitely need to go to al's,portillos
They need these in ny
If Clara (Where's the Beef?) Peller were alive today, she'd be saying, "The beef is at Tony's in Chicago!!!"
Fun fact: She’s buried in a Chicago area cemetery
@@Momito99 Now that's quite a coincidence!
what spices are those ? Thyme ?
Thyme is a herb.
Tonys is really good
Damn, they EAT in Chicago!
