Younger brother Andy had a career comparable to (and sound-tracked by) his older siblings, but years of drug abuse - which, ironically, he'd finally kicked - took their toll and he died in March 1988. There are many pop stars who become very flippant about fame and fortune and lose track of reality, but I think Barry Gibb - in the face of seemingly intolerable grief, as one by one, each brother died - must be one of the most grounded. But he still has the music.
The 4th guy is also a Gibb. Andy Gibb had a solo career. He was joining them for fun!!

The little guy is their youngest brother, Andy. He was a solo artist and had several #1s in his own right. He died in 1988 from a heart infection. If you like the video, watch the whole movie, "Saturday Night Fever". Bee Gees wrote the whole soundtrack and it was the greatest soundtrack of all time for several years.
He’s the 4th brother. His name was Andy Gibb. He died very young from heart complications I think. Due to drug use. But he was really talented himself. He had a solo career. One of his biggest hits was Shadow Dancing. Check it out sis. I think you’ll like it.

There is some fantastic disco music out there. It's also called "dance music" because for a while there was a stigma associated with disco and disco music.

The concert footage is from the Spirits Tour. The youngest brother joined them for a couple of shows. He had a very successful, but brief solo career with 3 No. 1 hits in a row. He passed In 1988 of heart failure from a heart infection. Barry Gibb always regarded Andy as a twin because they looked alike, sounded alike, and shared similar personalities and even a similar birth mark. Listen/ react to Andy's teen idol performances. As you’ve been told by now, the fourth BG is the baby brother Andy. In my opinion, and he looks a lot like Barry and does falsetto like Barry. Robin and Maurice we’re fraternal twins. He had his own solo career. In the beginning he did a lot of cocaine which damaged his heart quite a bit. He died in the early 80s from heart related issues. At the time of his death he was drug free!

Andy Gibb was a great singer in his own right. Unfortunately he could not fight off the drugs and died in 1988. Victoria Principle was his girlfriend until 1982 when because of the drugs she couldn't stay with him any longer. Victoria Principle was one of stars on the hit show Dallas. The guy dancing is John Travolta and the shots are from the movie Saturday Night Fever. To see John Travolta even earlier s you can check out the TV sitcom "Welcome Back Kotter" when he plays the cool student and leader of the sweathogs.

I read when the Bee Gees first started, youngest brother Andy was too young to join the group, though he did hang out during recording sessions and back stage. When he got old enough, he would sometimes join in, and Barry also wrote him some songs to start a solo career. Years later, Andy was co-host on the TV show, Solid Gold, and there are some interesting duets with him on that show with other superstars. I think he was also one of several famous singers to star on Broadway in the musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".

John Travolta's association with music films was further consolidated when he got the male lead in 'Grease' - an actual musical set in America's heavily mythologized golden age of the late 1950s, in which he also got to sing. There was quite a bit of snobbery surrounding these kinds of films and the types of music. Barry Gibb later remarked that they were so associated with the disco movement (having been its biggest stars) that The Bee Gees felt effectively 'cancelled' at the end of the 1970s. But here we are, still reacting to them...
There was a time when disco music was such a strong and creative force that it made the rock music of the day sound like weak mosquito pee.
I was a teenager when this movie came out - and I saw first hand the awe and then the backlash they (and disco) received. Everyone wanted to learn to dance like John Travolta - but then they figured out they couldn't.
The Brother's Gibb still wrote songs for many other musicians throughout the 80's, 90's. Just as Barry, the only one still living is still writing for others now.

This would be from the Saturday Night Fever movie and album. The song that slung Jon Travolta, his famous dance and the point to the sky dance move that's still used to this day at every dance club and the BeeGees on the map and super stardom, it took only 3 days of the BeeGees writing to come up with this whole album. The BeeGees little brother Andy Gibb sang on this song but was a star himself as a solo career. Sadly the two brothers not the lead singer have passed RIP and Andy passed back back in the 80's from a drug overdose which the 3 older brothers never got over. I was a professional dancer as a kid back in the 70's and would win dance club dance off's to this song same dance as your watching in clubs that looked just like this. You might want to react to one of younger brother Andy's songs. He had 6 top 10 hits before he died at a young age, including 3 number ones. His biggest was probably "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" which was written by Barry Gibb. You'd like it. It sounds just like The Bee Gees.

One thing that's funny is how younger people look at dancing in the past and think we looked stupid but with this you could tell you couldn't just go out the first time and move like this. Took some practice and still looks good. I was still under ten so I didn't really get to experience the Disco scene other than the music itself

Andy Gibb there are 4 brothers total. Andy went his own way later and did some solo songs but also acting. Also Barry the lead is the only living brother, he is the oldest of all the brothers which is sad
