Little brother Andy Gibb. Loved him too! It wasn't hard to tell what family he belonged to. He had so many hit songs. He and Barry were very close even with the age difference. I think his first hit was I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. Great video.

Andy Gibb is the younger brother, he used to have a solo singing career.
What you are actually watching is from the movie,
    Saturday Night Fever
That’s why you see John Travolta. The Bee Gees did most of the songs for the movie.

You’re right about the style genre. It came out sort of off the tail end of disco, which was often referred to as ‘post disco’. Some of the hit songs from that era were like MJ’s Oof the Wall Album, Stevie’s Hotter Than July album, Jermaine Jackson’s Let’s Get Serious(written by Stevie), & Luther’s Never Too Much, his 1st solo release after leaving Change. This was their 1st single after he left.

Their little brother, Andy (Barry's mini me) was about to be the 4th Bee Gee until his life was cut short. So sad to lose so much talent. They're all gone now except for Barry. I grew up with the Bee Gees ... used to have an 8 track tape of them and listened to it all the time in my '65' Mustang!!! Those were the days!

Barry is the oldest, and the only surviving brother. There were the twins, Maurice and Robin. Andy was their younger brother, who had a solo career. Andy passed away at the age of 30 in 1988. He had substance abuse issues. Robin passed away a few years ago from cancer. Maurice passed away a few years ago from a medical emergency.
All of them also had solo hits.

The youngest of the Gibb Brothers, Andy. Had a great solo career with the help of his older siblings. Tragically died young as the fame and drugs got to him. You should do a video on Andy's classic ballad, Don't Throw it Away , which Barry wrote for him. The Bee Gee's own version is equally great with the higher pitch, harmony, and falsetto! RIP to all the younger Gibb Brothers...

Andy is their younger brother. He had a huge solo career helped by his brothers writing some of his hit songs. He died at age 30 from a heart condition caused by years of substance abuse. He was going to join his brothers as a 4th Bee Gee but died before it happened. Andy's career had been failing in his later 20's because of his substance abuse. Andy resembled Barry and looked up to Barry. When he died Barry took it very hard. Barry said Andy was like a twin to him,(even though Barry was the oldest brother and Andy the youngest)they were very close. Robin and Maurice(Morris) are twins and were very close of course.
Bee Gees are my favorite group.

Judging by your reactions to several Disco songs. I think, you need to invest in a mirror ball, some coloured spot-lights, a sound to light board & a projector with liquid wheels. Then, you can really enjoy the era you missed out on, but obviously were meant to be a part of. Always glad to see someone new enjoying the music I grew up with. Love the dancing !! :)

Bee Gees did most of songs to Saturday Night Fever along with other artist.
The scene on the Dance floor is taken from the original movie.
Young John Travolta was dirty dancing long before dirty dancing
Year later he went on to Grease
Fact during filming he lost his girlfriend to cancer just before filming Grease ,then his mother I think just after Grease to cancer.
John's late wife also died of cancer.
You wouldn't image he was able to perform .
Grease was the better hit but I preferred Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

He was the first artist ever to have his first 3 singles (I Just Want to Be Your Everything, (Love Is) Thinker Than Water, and Shadow Dancing) reach #1 on the Billboards chart. I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, powerful chest voices, & could sing anything in between. They truly were a once in a lifetime gift of musical genius, in every aspect! Please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ **RIP Andy, Maurice, & Maurice** ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I just have to mention, how incredibly *BEAUTIFUL* you are!!!

I truly appreciate your appreciation for good ole classic songs from older groups, as the Bee Gees!! There is another song from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack called More Than A Woman. It is a beautiful ballad that went to #1. It's a definite must listen to!!!

Great reaction. Please try “Nights on Broadway” - shows Barry’s range and Robin solos. Thanks for sharing!

Probably the most underrated of the great Bee Gees' disco songs. It has 2 excellent concurrent guitar riffs, 3 great horn sequences, great drums including regular and bongo, and of course lyrics that are groovy, make sense and easy to hear. This song really moves along.

And my favorite bass line of all time. If I come to this song in a Playlist, I'll repeat it two or three times. It's infectious!! And that bass line!!!

@@peacenowar4886 the bass line on Jive Talking is pretty fat as well. Maurice on that Rickenbacker.

You might try their song Tragedy, but get their studio version where they are actually recording along with Barry’s sound effect which is pretty cool as well.

I was only a little kid when the movie came out but there was a person (even us kids) who didn't own the record and know every song on the soundtrack. I think the Bee Gees are the only Disco band that still holds up today. Not one song but a ton of them.

Andy the youngest brother, had a solo career Barry and the brothers wrote his 1st several hits for him. They are great composers, they have written songs other big artists. They wrote the title song for The movie Grease too.

Loving your Bee Gees reactions! I'd give Jive Talkin' a listen. Fantastic arrangement and always makes me smile. Maurice holds down the funky, syncopated bass line and you can really hear Barry's guitar on this one. Plus, who doesn't love them some cowbell? th-cam.com/video/oALKAh_bL5g/w-d-xo.html
