Andy was the "baby" of the family, 12 years younger than Barry and 9 than the twins. He was a little child when his brothers career started and became massive. So nhe started a solo career with the help of his brothers, they wrote his hits (with him) and They (mainly Barry) made also the backup vocals in his songs. After years of troubles (drug consume) and drug withdrawal he should become a member of the Bee Gees but sadly died a short time before this could happen!
Saturday Night Fever is not really a musical. It is the gritty story of an inner city young man who has limited options but can dance. The soundtrack is classic though!
Nobody can switch there Voices like the Bee Gees and Barry's falsetto is not from this Planet ❤❤❤❤
Only 1 brother left alive:(
The Bee Gees are universally loved, even by us boys. LOL! 😁
Of course! Great art.
This video is classic with all four brothers on stage!
Bee Gees had 7 #1 hits in the second 1/2 of the 70's and this one was the first of the 7.
bee gees love you inside out
I used to do a '70s dance party
Show at my college radio station. I always kicked off the show with this song or staying alive. It always gets you in the mood to get your groove on and dance. The Bee gees are icons, legendary. And Andy is phenomenal as well. They will never be another like the Bee gees. I am so glad you love and enjoy the music that I grew up listening to. Keep doing what you're doing Ola! I'm loving it! And I totally love your fangirling over Robin. It's so adorable.
I think this was their funkiest ones. You can totally imagine being on the dance floor and this music makes it so you can't stand still.
And Barry was the oldest one I think.
andy gibb shadow dancing
I saw Andy Live when I was 9 in 1977! Core memory unlock ⭐️🩷Shadow Dancing & Love is Thicker than water⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They are a Super talented group. They had several soft folk song hits in the late 1960s...1967 and on before their Disco fame later on.
Seen them live brilliant. Barry only one left.😂
Sweet Andy was my biggest crush! Had his posters all over my bedroom 🥰♥️Gone too soon😔💞
This song was just before they started kicking ass!
Thrilled by your reactions. I'm reliving the joy I felt all those years ago growing up with the lads. Fanny be tender with my love, the official video, is a beautiful and awesome showing of Robin and Barry going toe to toe with their amazing voices. Keep up the love and good humour.
That was the dance scene in the mid 1970's in the NY night clubs! a time like no other!
Ola is so beautiful and curious about many good things. Definitely watch Saturday Night Fever with BeeGers music. U will Love it!!! 1977 💎 🔸️ 🔶️ So glad I found you Ola. U make me smile a d warm my heart.
Yes
That was Andy, Brothers Gibb's baby brother. As Barry calls him as "his youngest twin". That was also young John Travolta as Tony in 1977's Saturday Night Fever with Bee Gees doing the soundtrack.
bee gees nights on broadway
listen to a person who has been a fan of them for FIFTY YEARS.... that he has seen them live, that he has talked to them and that he has everything that they have done professionally speaking, their entire discography and that he adores them..... Listen to what for me is his best song, a little-known song that suffered censorship and was not distributed on radio stations. I'm talking about the anthem, about the wonderful and incredible "living eyes"
The 70s were my youth. Barry Gibb is the last Bee Gee. Thank you Olavity for your contribution😊❤👍✌
Andy Gibb singing "Words" is beautiful.
Robin leads on I started a joke, Kiss of life, When he’s gone and Wedding Day ❤❤
Robin & Barry share lead on Kiss of Life and Wedding Day!
@@kthor they do switch off that is true. Still considered Kiss of life a Robin led song. There is also Bodyguard and Mr Natural
It's impossible not to fangirl!
For Robin on lead check out I Started A Joke and, my personal favourite, Holiday.
Also, I Gotta Get a Message to You and How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.
So many great songs to pick from!
I Started a Joke is the only one that Robin doesn't share lead with Barry.
"Saturday Night Fever" starring John Travolta.
Another fantastic and innovative Maurice Gibb bass line. Very underrated.
Andy past really young you can see him on a song called shadow dancing
If you want to Listen to the amazing Robin, I would start with either I Started a Joke or Massachusetts. Or if you want to hear him in the 80s when he's older and still gorgeous by the way, I would listen to Bodyguard. Anything Robin sings is incredible. If you think Barry sings fantastic, just you wait till you hear Robin. He sings like an angel. HIs haunting ethereal voice is none like you've ever heard. You think you love him now, just you wait.
The young one without the beard and shorter hair is Andy Gibb
Robin, was often the lead singer early in the Bee Gees career. He sings lead on New York Mining Disaster, Massachusetts, I've Gotta a Message to You, I started a joke, How Can You mend a broken heart, Holiday, Juliet ,Mr Natural ( shares lead with Barry ) &For whom the Bell Tolls
Robin and Barry share lead on all those songs except for Massachusetts, I Started a Joke & Juliet.🎼
There's also And the Sun Will Shine, Odessa, Black Diamond, and Lamplight.
You should watch bodyguard. Robin is just fabulous in it!!!
Thanks for the reaction. I know you (as you say)have fan girl Robert Plant,i thought to tell you that Robert,Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson are going on tour together this summer. Tickets go on sale Friday March 1st 24. Just so food for thought
Hi Olavity. Love your reactions to the BeeGees as you said earlier its from Saturday Night Fever as yes your correct it was John Travolta doing the cool dance at the beginning and through the video.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶💋💋💋💋💋💋💓💓💓💓💓💓
Have you Seen Grease 1978 with John Travolta. He made it right after the BerGers movie 1977..Bothh so good and romantic!!! ❤
All the girls scream for Andy of course. This movie and music was a bane of my life in 1978 in New Zealand, when we all had to troop into the sports hall and learn how to dance, when all i wanted was to go out and play rugby.
He was a lot younger than his brothers. 12 years Barry's junior. Andy had a solo career...check out Shadow Dancing. Robin's best vocals have been I Started a Joke. FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS, Massachusetts. Solo he had a cool song in the 80s...Juliet.
I'd also mention "Wedding Day". Their latter-days "lost" masterpiece.
React to that, Olavity, by the way. You'll be delighted.
An interesting Song to React to could be "Jive Talking" as Robin is very active in this song, love the reactions, cheers Joe
We all love your infectious smile. Please watch the movie and react.
Andy had a superstar solo career with his first 3 releases all going to #1. A wonderful live performer like his brothers, there are a ton of clips of him online. Check him out on The Midnight Specia & Don Kirschner's Rock Concert, hosting Solid Gold & entertaining US troops with Bob Hope. A very gifted artist❤
Andy!!!!!
Ola, you really should check out the documentary about the Bee Gees that was on HBO a few years ago. And yes, Andy was hot. Gorgeous. A real heartthrob. He died when he was 30. He had a drug addiction that apparently caused heart problems. Andy started as a solo artist and I think Barry said they talked about him joining the Bee Gees before he died. Check out Andy on "Shadow Dancing" and "I Just Want to be Your Everything". As for Robin, you MUST react to "I Started a Joke". That's such a beautiful song. I'd react to the live 1989 version. Good audio and video. He also sings lead on "Massachusetts". Also, live version 1989. I love your fangirling. We women understand it. I already have in mind two great bands I'm gonna request with unbelievably talented guys who happen to be really hot.
Hello again! Yes, of course, I loved this reaction, also! A bit of advice, u must react to a few of Andy's songs! Such a shame to lose him at 30 years of age! One of my favorites is, I just want to be your everything! Fabulous song! His voice has been compared ALOT to his big brother, Barry! I'm pretty sure u will love it! Take Care!❤
Great Reaction
Thanks for reacting to one of the greatest Bee Gees videos.
You should react to some of Andy's videos too ... he was also a huge pop idol .
Andy not being part of the Bee Gees has more to do with the age gap from the other 3 brothers. He was the youngest and the first to pass.
Another suggestion for you by the Bee gees called "staying alive"
Take a listen to earlier Bee Gees, "To Love Somebody" or "Fanny Be Tender". Thanks!
NIGHTS ON BROADWAY
BEE GEES
Remember to do `Night Fever` too and `More Than A Woman`, also from the movie.
I really like watching your vids. You're so genuine.
Check out Andy's "I just want to be your evrrything." You're too gorgeous for anyone to be annoyed by you!😍😍
everything
Ola likes cute hot guys! 😊😊❤
So many great songs to choose from with Robin singing lead, or at least sharing lead with Barry. Here are a few: Massachusetts (One For All Tour Live in Australia 1989); I Can't See Nobody (Live in Melbourne 1974); Nights on Broadway [shared with Barry] (Live on the Midnight Special); Heart Like Mine; just to name a few. His voice is so unique, so haunting.
Disco vibe
BEE GEE fantastic
Being the true that you are, you really need to react to a song he sings. His voice will drop you to your knees. I Started a Joke is my choice for to listen to next. Trust me.
Andy was going to join The Bee Gees in 1988 but he died after his 30th birtsday in 1988
Just 5 days after his 30th birthday.
It will be 36 years March 10th Andy died.😪
When they sing together it's literally like one voice
The movie is Saturday Night Fever ....And the dancer is John Travolta ´´´´´´´´´´
Check out Andy Gibb's Hit Song
Shadow Dancing and back up
vocals by the Bee Gees.
Just Barry doing back up!
🤘🤘😆😆🤘🤘
3:52 Maurice
3:04 Andy
Andy Gib the youngest brother of Barry Robin and Maurice,Andy was hospitalised complaining of chest pains and abdominal pains, and collapsed he died in 1998 aged 30 years old, Andy had a solo career but it was mentioned before his death he was due to join his brother’s permanently, Barry Robin and Maurice wrote a tribute song to Andy called,Our Love ( Don’t Throw It All Away),it must have been very difficult for Barry the eldest to see all his brothers die one by one and he is the only one left, after the death of all of his siblings Barry was asked what are you going to do now, Barry replied carry on performing, I don’t know anything else, great reaction thanks 🙏
Andy sadly passed away in 1988 at 30, not 1998.
It will be 36 years March 10th Andy passed away. Our Love (Don't Throw it all Away) was written by Barry & Blue Weaver and recorded separately by the Bee Gees & Andy Gibb.
Yes that was the fabulously handsome Andy Gibb!!! Andy shakes his booty in Shadow Dancing!! He shakes his booty a lot!!
Maurice sings lead in Man in the Middle and Closer than close!
Check out 'Jive Talkin' from 1975...there's a great live performance of it on The Midnight Special TH-cam page...
Thank you so much fot your lovely reaction ❤😊
Olavity you are so cute when you get excited. I wish I could take you dancing sometime. You are a beautiful woman
hey girl, have you reacted to th bee gee tribute to andy, if you havnt you should react to it, get tissues ready ink is here below
Bee Gees - Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) (Live in Las Vegas, 1997 - One Night Only)
We should be dancing. Again.
2:01 Barry
Ola, you should react to the Barry Gibb Talk Show skit on SNL with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake. Pure Gold!
Please react to "for whom the bell tolls". has amazing vocals from Robin
Robin is lead singer in this video from 2001, Bee Gees last hit: th-cam.com/video/5a95WRSWvHA/w-d-xo.html
It's a shared lead with Barry!
Yes Andy Gibb is there also
You Should be Dancing is a great Bee Gees song, and you got a glimps of Andy, but this video with the movie scenes added to it has the audio from the concert removed and replaced with the audio from the album. The Bee Gees where so consistent with their performances it isn't hard to edit their videos and mostly stay in sync. If you would like to hear the original live audio and a taste of Andy's voice watch this version th-cam.com/video/la_f9ClcIIk/w-d-xo.html
I love seeing you get so excited the dance that all the people were doing was called the electric slide. Olla I all ways look forward to your reaction.olla for got if it was one two L.❤😊.
Andy was Barry’s twin when Barry was younger! Identical except Andy was blonde
Disco did have some high points before it got beaten to death In the wake of the Saturday Night Fever pop culture phenomenon.
Hi do reaction on shadow dancing it's by Andy Gibb thanx
1:50 Robin
Hi there. If you like Robin as much as I enjoy watching you then you should watch him singing Massachusetts and the 1941 New York Mining disaster! You will love those.
Yep John travolta
You didn't see... Saturday Night Fever"??😢
Whatchya doin on your backside? Hey ! Whatchya doin on your backside ? Yea, You should be dancing.
Do a reaction to shadow dancing by Andy gibb
Me encanta 😍
All of the Gibbs (including their older sister Lesley) were blessed with some incredible genes! Andy came to a sad end. He got in with a bad crowd who used hard drugs and it damaged his heart. Although he was clean when he died his heart was weakened and he died from a virus that many would have survived. He collapsed at Robin's house in the UK where he was living at the time and died just days after his 30th birthday.
Please don't get stuck on just their "disco" era. That was only @ 4 or 5 years of their decades long career. They did amazing and versatile music from the 60's (when they were touted as the next Beatles) until Maurice died suddenly in 2003 and even after that Barry and Robin made solo LP's. I suggest from their childhood era
"Alexander's Ragtime Band" th-cam.com/video/0rudkvyMKX8/w-d-xo.html or "Wine and Women" when they were teens. th-cam.com/video/10TZf8OnsyA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MV7oLKDKdkDzPV86

March 10th will be 36 years since Andy passed away. Yes, his heart was already weakened from drug use, but consuming large amounts of alcohol in his final weeks of life is ultimately what led to his death.
@@kthor - Why did you edit your comment to remove the reference "large amounts of alcohol at Robin's" was the final nail in his coffin? (Screen shots are quite informative.)
I know, to be a💩 disturber.🙄Medically, alcohol had nothing to do with the viral infection so that was totally irrelevant to his demise. The damage was done long beforehand.
You cruise looking for any comment I make so you can get in your childish digs. Should I be flattered by your obvious obsession with me? I'm not.
Your transparent passive aggressive insinuations are always evil but what would I know, "a retired old spinster" as you called me in one of your many personal attacks. Better to be that than a nasty old b***h.
Andy was a grown ass man. Nobody put a tube down his throat and force fed him booze, especially a teetotaler.
Sadly Andy has been gone longer than he was alive.
Recently I have just ignored you but today it's rainy so I'm bored. Have a nice day.
Interesting that....as usual.... my response disappeared.
Why did you edit your comment to remove "drinking at Robin's" was the final nail in his coffin? Again accusing Robin of being responsible for Andy's death? Evil.
Andy was a grown ass man and nobody put a tube down his throat and force fed him booze, especially a teetotaler. He also had his own separate cottage on Robin's property and smuggled it in. Andy was a grown ass man and he was responsible, nobody else. Medically, alcohol was in no way responsible for contracting a virus. Totally irrelevant.
Why are you still trolling me? After all, I'm just a "retired old spinster" as you previously called me in one of your perpetual personal attacks. Should I be flattered by your obsession with me? Usually I ignore you but it's raining today so I'm bored.
One l my bag.😅.. you will probably think John Travolta is pretty hot..
Hi Ola, the Saturday Night Fever siundtrack is one of the highest selling albums of all time.
