- What is a show car without a little stance?? 🤩
Progress is being made on the Amarok V12 project, this time in the suspension department! We're finally getting the properly mounted, with a custom made cross member and reshaping the bulkhead to fit the T56 Magnum gearbox! 💪
A temporary measure to get the car "show ready", we're also flipping the leaf springs underneath the axle and swapping out the standard front hubs for the Q7 hubs, allowing us to mount the 420mm carbon ceramic brakes, handy for when we're making big power 😈

you can check the new amarok presented in argentina days ago in the same platform, not the ford one ,looks awesome in the front that is the only change and you can have the only one there

This is probably my favourite project you lads have taken on, so glad to see it's back in action. Reminds me of the Dodge RAM 1500 Express trucks; single cab work truck with a 5.7 HEMI - although I'd take the 6.0 V12 TDI lol. Intrigued to see what you do with the front bumper, a more aggressive front end for these trucks would be great.

We will see how far we can take an unopened engine first!
if you dont have any springs in the car could be lowered by as much as 10 c. that is why you have so much static camber. once you put a spring in it you may find the camber comes back to a streetable 1.5-2.5 degrees
We want it this low so we are making custom arms.

How are you guys wiring the engine and transmission to swap into this chassis? Are you using the factory TDI V12 ECUs? Standalone Harness? Excited to see the this project is still alive
The factory ECU's are wired up to run without the Auto box :)

Great project and fabrication. Are you not worried about the amount of water/crud that the x-member will collect through the holes?
Don't think it should be too bad. Under tray will help a little but it won't be used all the time so it'll be minimal the amount that would collect

@DarksideDevelopments ever thought of using the Amarok running gear and using the Beetle/VW Vocho conversion as the body work. Would be an interesting build 👍🏻

the founder of fueltech together with a german friend managed to make a audi 1.9TDI works with Fueltech manegement
guys will try tunning up the v12tdi with progamable injection software or will stay with the original ECU? or use both even?
Probably original ECU to get it running and then potentially something else later down the line if it isn't playing
Wouldnt built-up ZF8HP be better for this?
Not sure it would handle the power we want in it. Know the T56 is tried and tested so. Plus manual makes it far more fun
@@DarksideDevelopments Well if it was built-up a bit , better torque converter and stuff I feel like it should handle the power those are really fucking good which you of course know, and I really wanted to see the fuel economy if that V12 had 8 gears.
I ask you to fit bigger turbos on my v8 A8 which you said you couldn't do but you can squeeze a v12 in that
If you do it for a customer you need to provide a warranty. This being custom build and for own use doesn't need warranty

Not 100% sure but could be either Vorsteiner V-FF 104's or Autostar Chicane's

Most likely not, it's a long term project that we plan on keeping as a work/show truck

@@DarksideDevelopments maybe a dually like wide body just for the rear wheels, you'll want donuts in the front anyway so a whole wide body would be weird, but race slicks needed in back
