I used too think that way. This before I started working on cars for a living. Working on cars every day for the last 15 years got me tired of them. I rarely open the hood on my own car just because every day of feels too darn short too spend under the hood 😂
Nowadays, all I wanted was enough resources to obtain and master 3D scanning and CNC technology... And 3D-scan all parts of engines such as this V12 TDI, further develop them on AutoCAD and other computer programs, so I could basically create everything, from engine block and heads to pistons, rods, valves, cams, etc...every single part...from billet blocks, without having to rely on donor parts or finding an engine for sale, because I know very few of these V12's were made. So at the same time I'd be able to mod the crap out of 'em, I'd be able to basically 3D-print parts for the stock units, allowing perfect ownership of these monsters, without ever having to worry about parts availability. 🗿 Epic project, epic video, lad. Thanks a lot! 🍷🗿
Some advice. Keep box in gear. Put a piece of threaded bar in place of a couple of bolts. Btw a dummy splined input shaft helps when assembling multi plate clutches, with pilot bearing locater, use it to align the splined plates with each other and pressure plate/ flywheel, tighten pressure plate, done. Then offer box up to engine and push input shaft/box towards engine while turning gearbox output shaft, you will feel splines align, now put 2 pieces of threaded bar in adapter plate through bell housing, opposite each other, put nuts on bars and use these to help with assembly. I have used this technique to fit Landover boxes by myself.....in winter..... outside.....at night..... got haemaroids to prove it!
I cant wait to see that thing running.... you have no ideea how many years i've waited for one crazy ******** to swap his "no" weight car with this monster. Be careful guys and bring that monster to the streets!!!
So amazing! You've been a known company for diesel tuning and modifications for so many years 🔥 I'm planning on retrofitting my VW Polo 6R (which was never available with a 2.0 TDI, unlike the Ibiza and A1) for so many years now, I'm certainly will contact you for this mod, even though I'm from Germany and your in the UK. Keep up the great work♥️
song @ 7:29 te video is a real change of pace i'm used to toyota build where everything is very labor intensive and takes years to progress. this mounted up really well nicely done team
This engine was the big European pulling mule in the VW - AUdi A8, Taureg, Q8 high line SUV's, but it was such a problematic piece of crap, people said it costed as a 2lovers to maintain, back in it'e newer days!
The most I know about mechanical things is "righty tighty, lefty loosie" but this is *almost* my dream build. Just not sure why you went for 2WD and not 4WD.
Make sure you subscribe to keep up to date with the build 🔧 drksi.de/YTSubscribe
Please do a colab with DPUK on their build also. 2 goliaths joining forces
if this isn't what a group of mates wanna do on a weekend I don't know what life is. Awesome project guys!

I am beyond excited to see this legendary engine in a workhorse truck. Absolute monster in the making hope the drivetrain can handle the power.
A front heavy vehicle fitted with an engine that produces bags of torque to the rear wheels.
🤔 fun times 😊

You said you'd do it, and your doing it. Straight pipe next no filters 💪
Great Team work. This V12 swap will make this Amarok some serious tow rig.
I’ve been waiting for this for so long. The ultimate ute. Brilliant stuff guys 👍
"IT FITS!!!"
*cutting, cutting, grinding, welding and more cutting & grinding.*
However, awesome. The missile is now a rocket!
I like the gearbox choice, T56 is great! How will the front chassis take the grown weight.. need some serious strenght.
I can't wait to see this on the dyno, obviously, lots to do before then, but i'm loving every step of the journey!
And this gentlemen is the reason they are the BOSS of diesel tuning/modifying 👊
Now this is the content I subscribed for
Get in 💪🏼… literally!!!!
It’s like it was born there.
Well done lads, this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for 😁😁

The Chassis is either smiling or about to take a dump lol ,happy days 👍😉💪

Absolutely brilliant vid remember when you got the Q7 all the best fab stuff.👍👍👍
This is mental. Love it 👍
Like the way you casually hack out the cross member with a grinder as if VW only put it there for a laugh 😄😄
They’ll be putting something else in to replace it no doubt, all part of the fun of a V12 swap I guess
could tube frame and make the engine part of the support
That thing is only going to go straight.
I think it's the only thing it won't do
My day is made!!! Waiting was painful! Roll on next episode of “lads at work”!

Great work, subscribed.
Loved this video.
leftover parts are just weight saving, proper combo though. V12 manual is dreamy
Nice work guys. Thats the big work done. Just now have to get the wiring all together and the car then wait for the reveal video
sounds easy!
I thought I was mad for putting a v10 into a B5. This is another level! Cool stuff.
You drive a corsa ?

You're an Audi genius. Hopefully one day you'll help me with my B6
@@keloduma thank you!
can't wait to hear it, nice job 👍
It fits! *cuts away 50% of the front subframe* either way this is awesome lmaoo
Oh yeah! 🥲
You're doing gods work out there, keep it up
Bring it on!!! Drop all other projects and turn up the commitment dial on this one!!!😄👍
Just copped a new subscriber fellas, been wanting to see something done with the Amarok for a while 👌🏾🇦🇺
Stuff of childhood dreams fellas. Keep it up! Respect.
Boss man’s back!!
Must have read my mind was only thinking about this on Friday , You mite want to put something on the end of them forks to stop chains falling off ?
One word. WOW.
Wow! Nice one! I have a regular Amarok, just a bit longer due to Dutch tax regulation. But this engine is massive. Can't wait to see and hear it run
Makes me want to build a LHD converted aussie single cab Amarok so bad! Hope progress is gonna speed up on this.
Just get a South American one
Yeah you can get them already LHD.
if there is a will there is always a way, cant wait to see this to be started up
Got an oldskool RWD Cummins Ram with straight exhaust pipe which I use as workhorse but that V12 Amarok is another level 👍
Used to work with a kid who worked there said you have some good toys
Holy shit you guys did it. Great fucking job. Can’t wait to see the finished product. Amazing boys
Savage build lads
Yes baby
Best project ever in youtube
Saludos desde argentina !!!15 años peleando con Hilux en argentina !!!vamos Amarok!!!!
The VW group V8 diesel would have been a better option but props for taking on the V12, cant wait to see it run.
v8 is common!
Better? You haven't seen the end result yet.
y'all wild for using allen heads on the gearbox lol
We want to hear it ripping with Straight pipes. Will that be next video!!??
Maybe not the next video!
REYT THEN!
Making my dreams come true.
Making my dream real!
That's awesome boys 👌👌💪
great work guys. I wish this was a factory option. I bet it's going to burn a shit load of rubber. possibly the world's best drifting ute.
There is a v12 lambo/audi engine amarok in poland...nice to see a diesel in there
700bhp AMAROK incoming 😊great vid lads
1000hp+
@@DarksideDevelopments wow i was way off
I'm waiting to see if you remove the hood before stuffing the sausage into the casing. yeah ya did.
the people need an update 8 months on 😮
There will be one, but other projects, race cars and customer cars have taken priority at the moment
proper nice 🔥🔥🔥
Al at the Skid Factory would be impressed with this engine conversion. Giddy up from Australia.
Well nice fit, but sicne you cut out lower beam i think you should check car's geometry, and make it right after such extensive modification.
Its the least of our worries, we will sort it.
4:10 he was talking dirty to it e 😂
Long live diesel engines❤❤
Love it! 😎
Now that's my kind of diesel :DDD
That's gonna be awesome 👌
A Temple of VW channel?? for us VW purists?? Please more, more..yum yum...that V12 Diesel drools me everytime..
Belle vidéo 👌 😉
i Love something like this.
Greetings from Germany
Diesel r8 was awesome idea should have tried it
It might happen, you never know! This wouldn't have fit in the R8 we had though so
Next find me a way to get it into the states when you’re done 😂
should do a v12 crafter that would be insane
Sick!
Holy smokes!!
I absolutely ❤ this carry on 😂

it was only ever fitted to a Q7 so you are mistaken.

Because big burnouts are fun
@@DarksideDevelopments with that lovely sized donk, surely a four wheel burnout would be possible? But great to watch your Rok's transformation
Definitely would with some good chains and something very heavy 🤣
going to be greedy here and say i wanted a longer video 😢😂
beast engine
💪💪💪
Here in OZ, the 2-door Amarok was never available, not even as an option. It is probably a Japan spec, imported privately in..
there are a few about so cant all be imports
They were definitely available in Australia
This is what VW should have done with the Amarok rather than that Ford sh#t. Rock n Roll Baby! Greeting from Aus!
Epic!! Loving this.... sub'd !!
That thing is gonna be mental it is probably gonna do rolling burnouts with ease 😂
Love this
Itll be an animal cracking project lads 👏👏
Yeehaw!
That's all well and good but it's no PD in an R8 is it Ryan ;)
Very worldly automobile! Like mine… built in Germany and breaks down in USA! 😅
I want more of this... Please :D
Random. If you want a clutch alignment tool for a t56 ive got one laying around. Might be bit late though 😂.
Lol, if you send it over at some point it would be useful! the universal tools were sub optimal.
@DarksideDevelopments haha, I'll post it over, there a pig to line up at times 👍
Parabéns!!!vocês sao incríveis 🤩👍
Fuck yeah
Is this ulez compliant ?
It will be :)
